Story
My name is Murphy and I am a gorgeous brindle boy.  Per my DNA test I'm 37% American pitbull terrier, 12% Australian cattle dog and 7% Labrador retriever. I am a good boy, sadly I've been at the shelter for a long time :( and here is what you need to know:  I need a home with a great leader who can continue my current routines, I'm kennel trained and muzzle trained if you live in an area where i need to wear a muzzle to go for walk. I know sit, down, wait, I love walks and hikes, car rides, belly rubs under the sun, eating ice, doing zoomies on the snow, hunting little creatures..and I love people!  I have a high prey drive so no small dogs or cats for me. I like children but I think it's best that I live with older ones as I might be a little too strong for them. If you think I can come to your house and show you what a good boy I am, please reach out and let's meet!   Thank you!!!  Love, Murphy.      The adoption fee is $350 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, a neuter and a home training session.   Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Humane Society and our mission. ##960891##

Story
ADOPT PINTO! Pinto is a sweet, 2 yr old mix breed, with long legs and about 40 lbs. He is a volunteer favorite. Pinto is a high energy, silly boy - he loves doing zoomies in the yard and chasing balls. He has had a rough start to life in Puerto Rico and because of that his understanding of the world is small. He will require an experienced owner who can fast track his socialization and manners. He has already learned so much from volunteers! Pinto is a baby puppy at heart trapped in a 2 year old body, still puppy behavior. Pinto loves people, kisses and hugs but will do best if kids in the family are older. He enjoys his dog friends. And boooy does he know how to use those big brown eyes to melt hearts! He would love a jogging partner. He is an energetic and intelligent boy who needs a structured home to enjoy life as an adored pet that he has never known! For more information, please email us at tchsPapillion@gmail.com or visit https://townandcountryhumanesociety.org/adopt/ The adoption fee is $350.00, tax not included, and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have otherdogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with youwhen you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.*****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.   If you want tomeet this pet, please go to www.townandcountryhumanesociety.org and click Adopt.  Then scroll down toOnline Application and select Dog Application.   Your application will be reviewed and you will be contactedto set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will besupervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Story
Sigh is a spunky sweetheart 3 year old pitbull who found herself in the shelter when her owner could no longer care for her.  Sigh is short and boxy, with a reverse brindle coat that looks like tiger stripes. It's a must to see!  She hopes for a yard with a nice lawn, she loves playing in the grass.  Sigh is a bit of a couch potato, she prefers to lounge after a short walk and gets overheated quickly.  She is a hoot and will always make sure you get a good laugh.  She enjoys kongs and milkbone cookies.  Sigh is good with kids but prefers to be the only pet. A 6ft privacy fence is a plus so she doesn't have to meet neighbor dogs through the fence.  Come out and see if Sigh if the one for you. The adoption fee is $350, not including tax, and that fee covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have otherdogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with youwhen you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel. Story
Cash is an 83 lb, 3 old Staffie/Heeler mix. He is just a hunk of burning love; he will lay his head on you just wanting to cuddle. His favorite thing is to just hang out with staff on his pillow. Cash is sweet, quiet and undemanding. He loves car rides and rides shotgun. Cash is strong and muscular so his owner should be in a position to handle him on a leash when he gets exited seeing squirrels and rabbits. He has a very strong prey drive and should not be homed with small animals, but he adores his dog friends! He would also do great in an apartment as long as he gets his daily exercise. He requires a 6 ft privacy fence. Don't overlook this sweet, handsome and gentle big ole goof! Story
Spot is a 2 yr old male Border Collie/Terrier mix who is looking for his forever home. He is a larger boy at 54 lbs and he will need a family who can keep up with his energy level. Zoooom! An experienced owner would be best for Spot. Spot is a comedian and will do anything for laughs. He enjoys other dogs and would like a playmate of his own in his new home. He still has a lot of puppy energy and can sometimes get hyper and mouthy when playing, so no young kids will be the best home environment for him. He is calm in his kennel and when asked to hangout. For more information, email us at tchsPapillion@gmail.com or visit The adoption fee is $350 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.
