Story
Hi! I’m Porsche. 🐾✨ Yes — like the car. And honestly? The name fits. I’m about a year and a half old, full of energy, and built for movement. I’ve got that classic German Shepherd brain — smart, alert, and ready to go. But I also have a soft side that just wants attention and connection. I recently came back to the shelter after a short stay in a home. Transitions can be a lot for a young shepherd like me. Big changes, new dogs, new environments — it’s overwhelming when everything happens at once. I’m still learning how to slow down and settle when life moves fast. Here’s what I can tell you about the real me: I’m friendly. I’m sweet. I love attention. 💕 I know sit and down, and I come when you call my name. I enjoy car rides 🚗 and I’m happiest when I have something to do — especially if it squeaks! Oh… and toys? They are my thing. 🎾 If there’s a squeaker inside, I will find it. Immediately. I love fetch — although sometimes I’d rather lie down and proudly chew on the ball like I just won a championship. I can get very focused on my toys (I take play seriously!). When I first come out of a kennel, I’ve got some zoomies in me — that young shepherd energy! But once I’m in the yard and have space to move, I settle nicely. Structure helps me. Clear expectations help me. Slow introductions help me. I’m not a “throw me in the backyard and figure it out” kind of dog. I’m a “let’s build this the right way” kind of dog. With proper introductions, supervision, and guidance, I have all the potential in the world to thrive. I would do best with: A confident, experienced dog owner Structured routines Slow, thoughtful introductions to other pets Plenty of enrichment and toy time I’m young. I’m smart. I’m full of potential. And I’m ready for someone who wants to invest in me the right way. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion with a playful heart and a working-dog brain, I might be your girl. Let’s do this properly — together. 💛 — Porsche 🐕

Story
Freya was born February 21st 2018 from a breeder in Western Nebraska. She is purebred American German Shepherd, Sable colored, and just about 105 lbs. She is truly one of the sweetest dogs I've ever known. She is full of love, and very protective of her family. She has lived with a dog and 2 cats her entire life. We welcomed our first child 3yrs ago and she has been amazing with them the entire time. For years we struggled with spayed incontinence but in 2024 she had a surgery to correct it at KSU Manhattan but sometimes still has accidents if she doesn't get regular exercise. She is full of anxiety. Afraid of wind, shadows, everyone she meets but has never bit anyone. She just runs away and gives warning grumbles that she doesn't approve of new people. She really needs a home that can give her quiet, patience, and daily love and exercise. I am unable to give her the care she needs now and I hope her next home loves her as much as we do.

Story
Zucchini is a cuddly dog. He does great with kids. Does not so well with our current dogs or cats. He is good with dogs in general just our dog is a dick lol. Zucchini is house trained and knows basic commands. Zucchini does have Addison disease, which just requires a monthly shot and daily pills which are fairly inexpensive. He loves to play with toys and will play fetch all day. He comes with a kennel, dog bed and collar and leash.

Story
I got my German Shepherd from a breeder in 2018, and he has been part of my family ever since. He is almost 8 years old and has always been a very loyal and intelligent dog. Like many shepherds, he bonds very strongly to his person and does best with structure and consistency. Unfortunately, he struggles with reactivity and aggression toward unfamiliar people and other animals. Because of this, he would need a home with someone who is experienced with German Shepherds or working breeds and who understands how to properly manage introductions and boundaries. He would do best in a calm environment with an experienced handler, ideally as the only pet. Once he trusts someone, he is very loyal, attentive, and protective of his people. I would describe him as intelligent, strong-willed, watchful, and deeply devoted to the person he bonds with.

Story
Looking for a loving home for my 2-year-old Aussie doodle. She’s gold, playful, good with other dogs and babies. She had some bleeding issues in October, we suspected it could be kidney stones, a left over ovary from a bad spay procedure or a UTI but after X-rays and urine samples, the vet couldn't find a cause. She hasn’t had any bleeding issues since then but I want to be transparent. I'm rehoming her because, with school , a full time job and being a mom, I don't have the time to give her the attention she deserves. She needs to be let out 5-7 times a day due to her weak bladder and I only have time for 3. I'm hoping to find a family with more time to care for her.

Story
Ki’Vi is a tiny little girl at only 5 lbs. She is originally from the Humane Society in Omaha, NE. She is very sweet and loves to be in anyone’s lap all the time. Commands she knows, “Sit”, “ Come Here”, “ Go to your kennel”, “Go potty outside?”. She is used to sleeping in her kennel at night in my bedroom with me, she is used to being in a kennel for 8 hours while I work 4:30am-1:00pm. She does have accidents in her kennel and if not taken outside to go potty often she will go potty in the house. She does get extremely nauseous in car rides and tends to throw up, I have a car seat for her that helps. She does have an inguinal hernia on her left side that causes her no pain or issues but I check her tummy frequently, the vet advised no intervention. She is very high energy and loves to play ! I have many toys, a kennel, a little play house and a jungle gym I will give to you! She needs a gentle loving owner who has lots of time for her! She is loving and loyal and deserves a good home!
