Story
New Dog Alert: Meet Bunga! 🐾 Can we take a moment to appreciate just how handsome this guy is? 😍 Bunga is a 5-year-old Rottweiler who came to us through no fault of his own. Shelter life has been a big adjustment for him, and he’s feeling scared and a little shy. Because of that, he’s really hoping to find a family who will give him the time and patience he needs to settle in. 💙 Good with respectful kids 🐱 Good with cats 🐶 Good with dogs ✅ Crate Trained Bunga doesn’t need much—just someone willing to let him decompress and learn that he’s safe again. We promise that once he comes out of his shell, he is so worth it. His loyal, loving personality is just waiting for the right person to bring it out. Could you be the one to give Bunga the second chance he deserves? Come meet this handsome boy during our public hours, Tuesday through Sunday, noon–6 PM. ❤️

Story
Meet our sweet little mixed-breed pup! We believe he’s a mix of Chihuahua, Corgi, and possibly Pit Bull. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, healthy, and has no known medical or dietary issues. He’s playful, incredibly affectionate, and loves to snuggle. If you’ll let him, he’ll happily spend hours curled up in your lap. We joke that he’s more like a cat than a dog because he enjoys lounging and being close to his people. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, children, or other dogs, but with patience he warms up and becomes a loyal companion. Because of his timid nature, he’d do best in a home with older children or an adults-only household where he can settle in at his own pace. He’s a wonderful little dog looking for a loving forever home.

Story
Stella gets very excited when she’s happy, and she has a lot of energy and love to give. She enjoys walks, chewing on her toys, and spending time with her family. About Stella: Name: Stella Breed: Purebred American Bully Age: 7 years old Health: Completely healthy Personality: Loving, playful, cuddly, and very excited around people Favorite things: Walks, toys, chewing, and affection 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Best Home Fit: Stella does great with older kids, but we recommend being cautious around small children because she can be a little clumsy — we lovingly call her a “rhino” because she doesn’t always realize her size and strength when she gets excited. We are rehoming Stella due to our busy family schedule and large household, and we feel she deserves more time, attention, and love than we’re able to provide right now. ❤️ Our Goal: We are not looking to take her to a shelter — we want to find her a safe, caring home where she can get the attention she deserves.

Story
Silly Millie is down for adventures, fun and cuddles! This 9 month old 50 pound lab/terrier mix is all about Love, and we mean with a capital L! Millie is a happy little girl that is hoping her forever family finds her soon as she's been waiting and looking for them! Millie did not have a wonderful start but she stayed happy and resilient throughout. She started life as a stray with her two sisters and then was in a high kill shelter. Millie and sisters were to go to another rescue in January but sadly she had an allergic reaction to her internal stitches during her spay and was left behind. She sat for two month alone unit her time was up which is when we found her and took her into Haven! She came in a bit scared and shaking but after a proper dog intro in her foster home, she was fantastic with the resident dogs from 35 to 160 pounds! Millie now plays happily every chance she gets with her furry foster siblings, loves her toys and bones, is 100% ready for snugges and kisses with her foster family including children at any time! Miss Millie is crate trained and potty trained and is doing great on leash training, as well! This adorable little doll is guaranteed to provide you with loving companionship, slobbery kisses, goofy smiles and joyful adventures! If you'd like Millie to be you cuddle muffin, please submit an application to www.HavenAnimalRescueNebraska.org ADOPTION DONATION: $400 *ALL DOGS MUST BE INSIDE COMPANION ANIMALS! They must all be trained with positive reward based training and all are up to date with vaccinations, altered, microchipped, HeartWorm tested, and on preventatives.       PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! July 15, 2026, 11:26 pm
