Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Wahoo, NE *This dog doesn’t belong to ASF and hasn’t been evaluated by ASF.* Meet Whiskey! He is an 2 year old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix in Wahoo, NE and weighs around 55 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Whiskey is nervous around strangers, but warms up quickly and loves to cuddle! He is good with kids, farm animals, and dogs! He hasn’t been tested around cats. Whiskey is housebroken, but isn’t crate-trained. He will urinate in the house when he is alone in the house for an extended period of time, because he becomes anxious. He will also become destructive towards dog beds and couch cushions, but only when he is bored. He doesn’t do this if he has a lot of toys to play with. The owner is surrendering him because they are unable to provide the attention and exercise that he needs. If you think you can provide a great home for Whiskey, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Whiskey. Owner’s Contact Information: Faith at fmwestlund@gmail.com

Story
Meet Petey! He’s a pint sized powerhouse who’s ready to win your heart by knockout. At just 14 weeks old and a whopping 5.5 lbs, this adorable little nugget proudly holds the title of Champion of Cuteness. Petey is playful, silly, and always ready for a good time. He’s great with other dogs and kids. Whether he’s bouncing around with his toys, chasing leaves, or practicing his zoomies, he brings joy and energy wherever he goes. When it’s time to settle down, he’s equally happy to curl up for snuggles. This smart pup is already doing great with potty pads and crate time, and he’s still working on perfecting his leash skills. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’ll have it mastered in no time. If you're looking for a tiny, lovable goofball who will keep you laughing and fill your home with joy, Petey is your guy! He is up to date on vetting and vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, will be neutered soon, and is ready to meet you! His adoption donation is $450. Please apply directly in the drop down menu on our website at https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! December 4, 2025, 12:07 pm
