Story
She is a vary loving dog, always wants to be around humans the most. She will not get overly exited when she sees other dogs and dog parks make her nervous. This girl may be shaved right now(to help with summer heat) but has a very soft black coat when it grows out. As for shedding, her hair is more tame than her legacy. Luna, is a very high spirited dog who loves for someone to throw her tennis ball or her chew toy. Travel is never an issue for her and she does well in her crate. This pup loves to run for hours so a fenced in yard would make her heart sing. Her birthday is coming up quick on July 13th. Five years goes by so quick. If you ever feel down, Luna will talk with you for hours. One thing she recieved from her husky heritage is she loves to talk. She can "say" a few words. She will sit, stay, and lay down. For a little while. She is great with people ages 0-100 and just wants to "kiss" them all. Please bring Luna home to your family.

Story
Honey is a 7 1/2 year old Chihuahua female new to our rescue.  She is a tiny, nervous Queen with a big personality and even bigger boundaries.  So, a typical chihuahua:  a lot of sweet with a sprinkle of spice.  She doesnt mind cats and is good with other dogs.  Because of her need for boundaries, she would be best in a family without young children. She needs a patient, quiet home with someone who understands that trust takes time - preferably with a fellow pup to help show her the ropes. We will update her bio as she continues to open up to us. The adoption fee is $250 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Story
Meet Dani – The Sweetest Shadow You’ll Ever Have Dani is a 3 year old 50 lb black Lab mix with a heart as big as her soulful eyes. Recently surrendered by her former family, Dani was initially very nervous and unsure. But thanks to the love and patience of her foster family—and the companionship of her fellow foster dogs—she’s begun to truly blossom. Now thriving in her foster home, Dani is showing her true colors: affectionate, gentle, and deeply connected to the people she trusts. Her foster mom describes her as incredibly sweet and eager to be near her humans, often looking to them for comfort and direction. But what really makes Dani shine is having doggie siblings by her side. They give her the confidence to navigate the world with a little more ease and joy. When left completely alone, Dani’s sensitive side can emerge—she worries that danger might be near, and this can manifest as separation anxiety. However, with canine companions around, she’s significantly more at ease and grounded. Dani is fully house trained, well-mannered, and responds beautifully to a calm, steady routine. She’s the kind of dog who will thrive in a home where: Her people are around most of the time Patience and compassion are second nature Her body and mind will be engaged regularly She has at least one resident dog to lean on for companionship and confidence If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and emotionally intuitive companion—and you have a soft spot for dogs who just need a little extra reassurance—Dani could be the perfect addition to your pack.   The adoption fee is $350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Story
Ginny is a beautiful 50 lb shiba inu mix who originally came to us from the reservation.  She was adopted to a couple who returned her when they had a baby.  It sounded like the new parents and Ginny were all struggling to adapt to a big life change.  Ginny was heartbroken after losing her family but has slowly come out of her shell.  We have witnessed her to be guarded and very slow to warm up to new humans in her life.  She is very protective of her personal space and we've seen some resource guarding. Therefore, she will need be in a home with very patient adults, and possibly older children, with a consistent routine without a lot of new people coming and going.  She appears to be crate trained and will need to be fed in her crate or a room by herself.    She is an active girl who loves long walks and would enjoy a fenced yard for outdoor play, but is unlikely to be a dog park dog.  She entertains herself playing with her toys or chewing on bones.  She is highly intelligent and has mastered the commands "sit", "paw" and "down".  She is food motivated and once you're on her A list, she is eager to please.   Ginny has a dominant personality so she would do best in a home without other dogs or cats.  Ginny rides well in a car so if you want to go site-seeing she's up for the adventure! Ginny will need a very specific home with a loving, patient, committed family.  If you want to meet this precious furbaby please contact Town and Country Animal Rescue. The adoption fee is $150 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. **Part of Ginny's adoption fee has been sponsored by someone who loves her! Story
Meet Jake! Jake is a sweet and soulful 10-year-old heeler mix with a heart as big as his 62-pound frame. This handsome gentleman came to us after some pack conflicts in his previous home, so he'll need to be the only pet in the home.  Jake is incredibly friendly with people and has quickly won over staff and volunteers with his gentle nature and love for snuggles. He walks politely on leash and seems to truly enjoy his time exploring the world at a steady pace. While he could benefit from some portion control and a bit more exercise to reach a healthier weight, Jake is more than ready to be someone's loyal walking buddy and couch companion! If you’re looking for a loving, low-key dog who still has plenty of pep in his step and affection to give, Jake might just be your perfect match. Come meet this cuddly cattle dog and see why we’re all so smitten!   The adoption fee is $250 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday!
