She needs to learn to trust humans, she has cone along way since we got her. Pinkie is extremely shy and needs another dog to be successful. She loves to play with other dogs. She must be fed seperately due to the fear of not having food. Pinkie loves playing outside with her friends, so a fenced yard would be great. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.

Story
Dobby is an adorable 1+ year old, 25-lb. girl who has endless energy. She was on her way to our local animal shelter when one of our supporters saw her and asked if she could take her instead. She was very timid and frightened at first in her new foster home, but it didn't take her long to realize that she had just found 'the good life'! Her foster dad says she's the sweetest little pup who enjoys being with her humans. She has a captivating personality, and with those prominent ears, offers up some awesome expressions. Dobby appears to be primarily a variety of Feist which is supported by her energy level and desire to achieve the objective given to her. She has loads of energy and plays hard with her 50-lb. foster sister. Dog toys are also a favorite of hers and she loves to run after them when thrown. She is learning to take unleashed walks in a rural environment where there are minimal distractions, and progressing well, playing fetch with her favorite stick. Dobby is currently enrolled in an obedience and socialization training program with Highland Canine Training in Harmony, NC. Highland is a nationally recognized training center that performs everything from basic obedience and socialization training to advanced law enforcement and search and rescue training. When it's time to rest, Dobby enjoys lying beside or in the lap of her human, or nearby on the floor. At night, she'll curl up in her bed next to your bed. She is housetrained with a doggy-door, but may need a little work if no dog door is available. She is smart and a quick learner so this should go quickly. Dobby needs to have a home with a securely fenced yard with room to run, and will need an active playmate to satisfy her activity level. With her high energy level, a house with very young children is not recommended. Being a breed that is inherently a small game hunter, a home with smaller dogs or cats may not be a great fit... a larger dog will be a better canine companion for Dobby. Dobby is a healthy little girl, and is current on her vaccinations. She has had 2 Dist/Parvo vaccines and Rabies vaccine. She has been spayed, microchipped, tested negative for Heartworms, and is on monthly Heartgard for Heartworm prevention. Dobby's adoption fee is $400.00 Dobby is a loving, sweet, active, and smart little girl who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that you would like to add Dobby to your family, please submit an application by going to our website foreverhomek9rescue.org for an application and email the completed application to us at foreverhomek9rescue@yahoo.com. You can also submit an application by going to: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption/ (cut and paste). Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home! Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
