Story
Fragele (if you know the movie `A Christmas Story`, you`ll get the name!) came from a home who had a lot going on. They thought it would be best for Fragele to have a new family. He is your typical bouncy boy, full of energy and excitement! He will do best in a home where his guardian(s) have the time to spend with him, working on desired behaviors with lots of positive reinforcement. He`s as cute as can be! His previous family stated that he was an escape artist, often getting out of his enclosure in the yard. With daily leash walks that give him the exercise he needs and some fantastic sniffing time, I bet he`ll look forward to his snuggle time at the end of the day! Working on training really tires a dog out as well! This sweet guy is so excited to meet his forever family!

Story
Clayton is a playful, big goofy guy, who has no idea of his size! Once he gets some energy out, he`s good with hanging out and taking in the scenery. He loves a good adventure, so a secure fence would be needed or a just as adventurous owner who can show him the world! He also loves a good game of “chase the ball.” Once he`s done chasing the ball, he`d love a couch to crash and relax on. Clayton would benefit from positive reinforcement training, he`s food motivated so that`s very helpful! He does well with other dogs, older kids would probably be better due to his size and excitability. Take the first step to meet your new best bud and submit an application at halliehill.com today!

Story
Sadie is a sweet gal who walks well on a leash. She really enjoys spending time with people and she is a volunteer favorite here at the sanctuary. Sadie does become reactive when being restrained for any veterinary procedures such as vaccinations, or any grooming tasks such as nail trims. Sadie has spent time with other dogs at the sanctuary, but we do not leave her unsupervised when she is socializing with canine companions.

Story
Donald is approx. 1-2 years old and weighs around 10 pounds. Donald can be very shy, at first. Once he warms up to you, he is the sweetest little fella. He loves to chew on antlers and sticks and play with his tennis ball and his girlfriend, Pebbles. Due to his small size, we would prefer for Donald to go to a home with older, dog savvy children or no children. Donald appears to be house broken however, accidents ,ay happen while he adjusts to a new home. WE DO NOT HAVE CATS. THEREFORE WE DO NOT KNOW CAT COMPATIBILITY. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: OUR PETS ARE SHELTER PETS. WE HAVE VERY LITTLE, IF ANY, INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR PAST. PLEASE BE COMMITTED AND PREPARED TO TRAIN/RETRAIN YOUR NEW PET. REMEMBER, THEY MUST HAVE TIME TO DECOMPRESS. If you have not heard of the 333 Rule, please Google it. If you are interested in making this pup part of your family, please email us. Please give a brief description of your home, family and what you are looking for in a new furry family member. You may include anything else you think will move you to the top of the adoption list. Carrie is approx. 2 years old and 40 pounds. Kelly came from a rural NC shelter when she was just 3 months old. She has now been in rescue for almost 2 years. She is still very skittish and Leary of people. Therefore, she will need a very patient adopter. Carrie is also available to be fostered. Carrie is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Please keep in mind that our dogs are shelter dogs. We have little if any information about their prior history. We can only tell you what we have witnessed since coming in to the rescue. Please be patient and prepared to train / retrain your new family member. Our pets need time to decompress once they are in a new home. if you have not heard of the 333 Rule, please google it.
