Story
Gus *Loves people, kids and other dogs! *great on a leash *housebroken *crate trained *good in a car *loves to cuddle * no cats for this boy! OUT OF STATE TRANSPORT available for an additional fee. Gus came to us extremely underweight, nearly bald, with open wounds all over his body due to Demodex mange. Gus now is completely recovered and will need to remain on flea/tick preventatives monthly (such as Simparica Trio) to prevent another infection. Gus was far too interested in the cats when we cat tested him as his herding instincts are present with these types of animals. However, he is great with other dogs and we use him to help introduce new dogs to the rescue. Gus has gone out on multiple Doggie Day Outs and did so well each time! He was his happiest self at the dog park with his rescue buddy (Folly) who has since been adopted. He likes to meet new people and go for car rides! We think he could be a heeler mix because of the speckles but we truly still don’t have a great idea about breed. The regrowth of hair didn’t help us with this as much as we thought it would 😂 Microchipped, up to date on shots and monthly preventatives

Story
Wally *loves his toys! *housebroken *does great with cats *good on a leash *older kids only *need a daily over the counter joint supplement to help him with an issue that was discovered when he was found *Medical Condition- PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO* Personality Traits: Protective, Curious, Independent, Funny, Dignified, Smart Wallaby (or Wally for short) was found wandering in a common dumping ground behind the Sweetwater Veterinary Hospital. A kind, Good Samaritan reached out to us for help with this guy! Wallaby is a happy, silly guy with lots of energy. Wallaby has shoulder dysplasia which can cause some pain near his neck/shoulder area. On 3 different occasions, Wally quickly nipped out of pain when his neck area was touched. His pain levels and medical condition are better controlled now with daily joint supplements and anti-inflammatory medicine as needed. However, because of this diagnosis, we feel he would do best in a home with older kids who will respect his space. He would also do best in a home where he is not confined into a small space for long periods of time (kennel) as this causes Wally more pain. He gets along well with dogs outside but can be a bit possessive inside the house if he has pent up energy or doesn’t get enough mental and physical stimulation. Wallaby is a high energy dog and since he is a poodle mix, he will require regular grooming and brushing! He will also require not only physical stimulation, but mental stimulation as well. This includes activities such as treat balls and puzzles, snuffle mats, hiking/walking at different, exciting places for new smells! He also looooooves to play fetch! He is in his happiest place when he is outside 🌳 🌲 Wally is also prone to hot spots and we will be getting more information on this from the vet! Neutered, Vaccinated, Microchipped

Story
*housebroken *good with cats *energy and with her size no small children *no other dominant females *loves chew toys Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control contact then reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! She can be dog selective, particularly with other dominant females it seems. We plan to continue working with/testing her to further evaluate if she would be able to possibly live with another dog if their temperaments lined up or if she needs to be the only dog in the home. She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy and not great body awareness. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as we feel she is likely a hound mix with a curious snout! Per our vet, Beauty could potentially need ‘touch up’ surgery on her eyes down the line if they start to bother her again. This is not 100% guaranteed but we want to be sure we let potential adopters know that this could be a potential cost. She also has seasonal allergies which affects her eyes as well. During the spring/summer months, Beauty will likely need eye ointment to help with this, especially if she remains in East TN.

Story
Clancy *housebroken *good on a leash *knows commands *good with other dogs *easily trained *needs a little bit of time to warm up to new people *saved from euthanasia and in foster a year!! *no cats or kids Raise your hand if you have social anxiety around new hoomans! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Clancy is raising his paw right along with you! Clancy was in the foster program through McMinn Regional Humane Society for over a YEAR now without much interest. His foster family asked if we would be able to accept him into our rescue if they continued to foster and after we got a few adoptions, we said YES! Clancy WAS heartworm positive but underwent treatment and is now NEGATIVE! 🥳 He loves to be around other dogs and currently lives with a canine foster sibling. He does NOT like cats and small children make him nervous. He requires some additional time and proper introductions when meeting new people but he warms up if these steps are taken! His foster family says that if you ignore him and let him come to you and sniff around, he will eventually warm up and let you pet him. Treats also help with this! His foster family has been working very hard with him to train him to be more comfortable out in public, even going so far as to arrange public meetups with community members to give him treats on the greenway. 🥲 He is so lucky to have his foster family but he needs his forever home! Ideally he would love to be a homebody and hang out with his people and maybe even a doggie brother or sister!

Story
*puppy with energy *working on house training *craves love *needs patience to train us! *lab mix so smart and loves treats! **CAN be transported out of state for a fee** This is Sampson-- found abandoned and needs a great home! Has a brother that is also up for adoption! Meet the adorable "Tweedle twins" – Sampson and Goliath. These two are full of playful energy and love to spread joy, although watch out for their quick little toe bites! The finder discovered these big-hearted boys abandoned, and we estimate their age to be around 3 months. Based on their behavior, it seems they are lab mixes, as they absolutely adore water and gulp down their food (typical lab behavior). At the moment, they weigh close to 20 pounds and are currently in quarantine as they receive their shots. They are scheduled to be neutered on the 26th and will be all set to find their forever home shortly after. Working on potty training, but puppies take time and patience with this.
