Story
Calvin Rufus is a full-blooded male, super spunky and peppy, Boston Terrier. You wouldn’t thinkCalvin is 8 years old with the energy he has. A mom or dad who likes to play fetch or go for longwalks/jogs would be a great fit, but he does have his chill time and will definitely cuddle in yourlap or snuggle in bed (if you allow that). He LOVES blueberries, bananas, blackberries, butturns his nose up at raw carrots. He loves to play with his toys and leaves them stashedeverywhere, so he can play anytime, anywhere! He reminds me of Tigger the Tiger because heis so bouncy. He is a bit of an escape artist when it comes to dog gates, if you like to haverooms blocked off. He is used to a doggie door to come and go as he pleases. He would dobest in an only dog home with a fenced yard. He does well uncrated when I am at work. Story
Bindy Blue is 9 years old and all about the simple joys in life: sunbathing, car rides, snacks, and snuggles. She’s a laid-back girl who enjoys hanging out with her people (especially the ladies), keeping tabs on household happenings, and chiming in with her own unique vocalizations - she definitely has something to say, especially when she wants to go outside! Bindy has limited vision due to cataracts, but she navigates her world confidently and does best with a predictable, calm environment. She does well with both on- and off-leash dog introductions, but prefers polite canine manners - she doesn’t like dogs in her face or being startled. She could happily live with another easygoing dog who respects her space, or in a home with no other dogs, as long as her people are home often and enjoy spending time with her. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and happiest when she gets to sleep in bed with her favorite human. Bindy gets along well with dog-savvy cats and respectful kids. She’s food-motivated, enjoys short bursts of play, and will seek your lap when it’s time to relax. If you’re looking for a gentle, quirky sidekick to share quiet days and cozy nights, Bindy Blue might just be your girl. Bindy’s Must-Haves A calm, loving home with a predictable routine An adopter who is home often and enjoys close companionship Gentle handling and awareness of her limited vision, especially around stairs, decks, ledges, and curbs Polite dog interactions - she does well with on- and off-leash introductions but doesn’t like dogs in her face Willingness and ability to lift her in and out of the car A patient, kind adopter who appreciates a sweet senior Bindy’s Nice-to-Haves Another easygoing, respectful dog or a home with no other dogs A securely fenced yard or safe outdoor space for sniffing and sunbathing Dog-savvy cats Respectful, gentle kids Someone who enjoys a chatty dog with personality Contact/Application Info  Questions? Story
Megan Crane is very sweet, but timid. She is perfectly crate trained and chooses to spend most of her time in her crate. Out of her crate she tends to be fearful and hide behind furniture, although she is gaining more confidence every day. She enjoys roaming in the fenced yard. She can be hard to catch and doesn’t yet come when called, but once she is with you she enjoys attention and being petted. She has not been left unsupervised out of her crate, but she appears to be housebroken.  Age:  2 years old Weight: 15 lbs Spayed/Neutered: yes Microchipped: yes Vaccines Up-to-Date:yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes House-Trained: working on it Crate-Trained: yes Leash Skills: working on it   Likes/Dislikes Toys: learning to play with them. Story
Hello, I’m Hank. I’m a 4 year old male Boston Terrier with the personality of a forever puppy. I have endless energy. (Hank will calm down in the car or when it’s time to snuggle.) I had some GI issues when I came into rescue, after many tests Doc has confirmed that I need to eat four small meals a day. I'm on fresh Pet and Love it. Foster mom adds a little bit of pumpkin and a little bit of coconut oil and that makes it top dog 5 star ready.  I love people and other animals including cats. Once I decide you are my person I will replace your shadow with myself. I can self-entertain all day, but might whack ya with a toy once in a while to make sure you still know I’m there. I need a fenced yard, one I can’t jump out of if I see another human or animal. I will also run through an open gate if I get the opportunity. I like to play, I play well with a Foster Frenchie  because she is submissive. The older fur lady at Foster home will bark and chase me so I leaves her alone.  The other male Boston won't play with me because the other dog is too worried and obsessed about his ball.   I am ok for a few hours in my crate if you need to run some errands. You might notice I walk a little funny, I have A birth defectwith my back leg, but it definitely doesn’t slow me down and doesn’t seem to hurt at all. Orthopedic Vet has confirmed this. Ball is my favorite game.I love to steal things to get you to chase me, but I really only tear up paper, otherwise I just play with my toys. If you are looking for the sweetest, snuggliest, biggest personality guy, I’M HIM! I will love you forever, and ever, and even more whether you want it or not.  My Foster says that I have a cat like personality also. I love to cuddle so much that I will curl up on your lap just like a cat. I like to swim and the foster families pool is great fun. I get excited when I see my swim vest. The Basics Age: 4 Weight: 19 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: yes On Flea/Tick Prevention: yes On intestinal worm prevention: yes House-Trained: yes, I will notify you by standing by the door I am used to going out of to go potty. Crate-Trained: yes! I have zero problems with my crate and will go in on my own if I feel scared. I sleep through the night and nap without issues if you cover the crate with a blanket or something to make it dark. I also like to have an extra blanket in my crate with my dog bed so I can curl up with it. Leash Skills: I absolutely love going for short walks and might be amenable to leash training if there are some pieces of freshly cooked chicken in your pocket! I get super excited when you grab my harness, so excited I try to eat it instead of letting you put it on me… sorry. Medical: On top of my fresh pet diet, I require medications daily. Trazadone to help me focus on the task at hand. This is a requirement and should not be stopped. Benadryl 12.5mg (½ tab) daily, this helps with my allergies, I think it’s the oaks. Apoquel can be part of my skin care routine also. My skin is looking awesome. Diet: It's fresh pet for me. It's good if I relax in the crate after I eat for 20–30 minutes. Currently I have to eat 4 times a day in smaller portions (about ½ cup). Doc says once I’m up to about 20lbs I can cut back to fewer meals. I burn a lot of calories though, so frequent snacks are also requested required! Current approved foods I like are beef, chicken, egg, quinoa, green beans, and sweet potato. Current dislikes are edamame, carrots, and all commercial foods. I do like to chew on treats like bully sticks, but don’t really eat them.  Likes/Dislikes: No, off, get down, etc. I also don’t like loud noises. I have difficulty with hard foods including dog treats. I don’t mind baths in a tub, not a fan of the kitchen sink though. I mean, why would you bathe a dog in the kitchen sink anyway?! Toys: I love toys, all toys, I like to play ball but not sure why you always want to take it away after I run for it! Other Animals: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, but…. I have personal space issues. Cats and dogs are my friends and I 100% enjoy being with them. I like to get all up in their grill and sniff all the parts. I also have some difficulty reading social cues, like, get away from me. So, I probably should only be around other dogs with my similar personality or very patient ones! People/Kids: I love all people, I do not discriminate based on age or gender. I do however like to jump on people and am working on learning the command “off”, I think it’s going pretty well so far. Car Rides: I love car rides! I do best on a blanket though because I’m not too stable on my feet if there are sudden changes in speed or direction! Separation: I might try to claw my way out of your door or window if left alone, even if you are just taking out the trash. I mean you didn’t give me a watch, and I’m pretty sure you were gone for eternity. But, I am perfectly fine if I am in my crate or if you just pull up the blinds for trash runs! I am ok in the car alone for short periods too and won’t tear up your seats or scratch your windows. did I tell you that I love everyone too and four legged? Contact/Application Info  Questions? Story
Tucker initially lived with a young man as a puppy and was a great source of comfort to his owner once the owner became sick. The owner died and Tucker went to live with relatives. Nine months later the relative Tucker had bonded with also died. He is a very smart dog with lots of energy! He loves to play and run. He loves new adventures and is always ready to go. In spite of the losses in his life, he is a happy boy and wants nothing more than to be around his people. He does have high energy but once he winds down, he is into cuddles and back scratches. Age: 2 years 8 months  Weight:  25 lbs House Trained:  Uses a dog door well but would need training if no dog door to let you know when he wants out Crate Trained:  Has been exposed to crating but hasn't been for a year and will need work Leash skills:  Does pull on the leash Likes/Dislikes Toys - love balls and chew toys Other animals - should not be around cats or other dogs People:Kids - Loves people!  He has not been around children Car Rides - loves car rides and rides well!
