Story
This darling little girl is one of several new kids we got in recently.  They have gone thru their vetting,,, have been updated on shots and HW testing and had dentals done.  They were supposed to be 10 or 12 years old,,,, but on arrival the energy level seemed much more in line with puppies... So I was surprised all over again with my vet assured me that they seemed to be in the 10 year old range....  We have no real idea of breed,,,, and they were in such bad shape neatness wise that they were clipped completely down,,, so we aren't sure what some of them will look like eventually.... Mia seems to have come out the best in the hair coat competition,,, and looks real cute. The pictures I was able to get are pretty sad!  Even being help to try and keep them still for just a little bit didn't work all that well,,, and most of the attempts are on the "cutting room floor" as they would say,,,,, just blurs! but you can get some idea and she weighs about 10-12 lbs... so she's quite small..March 17, 2025, 12:45 pm

Story
Markie is a cute little guy with a big attitude and seems to love everyone.  He came in with several other small dogs and seems to have had a rough time recently based on hair condition etc,,, but whatever happened it didn't adversely affect his attitude toward humans or other small dogs.  he's a happy go lucky little fella.  He had the energy of a youngster but our vet thinks he's likely about 10 years old None of  this group is the least bit interested in sitting quietly for photos,,, so you'll have to excuse the poor results of our recent photo shoot.  March 17, 2025, 12:45 pm

Story
,,,, Molly is the typical cream or light blond Peke.  Her coat looked like she's had it rough for awhile, but that has improved with time and good food.  And she loves food.   She's a real sweet girl who came to us blind and after checking with our vet, it was determined that while she had no vision, her eyes weren't bothering her at all, so we just left well enough alone. She adapts well to new surroundings and has been remarkable in her ability to wander around amongst other small dogs and just find her way without any problem.  Blindness is totally different for dogs than we humans think it would be,,,, vision isn't the sense they depend on most... She has developed a heighten sense of smell I guess,,, and can notice a hot dog treat at quite a distance! December 14, 2024, 11:36 am

Story
See Courtesy Posting Disclaimer * Radar is 7 months old as of 7/23/2024. He is neutered, heartworm-negative, up to date on vaccinations, and housetrained. He is a rat terrier who looks like the photos of a Majorca ratter. One look at his ears will tell you where he got his name! Radar's foster home is located in Concord, NC. This good boy is very smart and very loving. He knows how to sit and stay. He likes to shake paws, play fetch, play ball, dig in the dirt, and run! He loves the water and loves to play in the water hose. He also likes to watch animals on TV! He likes his harness on when he goes for a ride-- it seems to make him feel more secure. As he is still a puppy, he tends to chew through his leashes, so a metal leash works best. Radar is afraid of paper bags and loud noises inside, but he's not afraid of thunder or firecrackers outside. He is of a type that is bred to hunt mice and rats, and consequently he has a high prey drive and can't be trusted around small animals. Since he was rescued, Radar has not been tested in very many situations with people and other animals. He likes to play ball with some neighbor kids, but he has not been around small children. He behaved well at the vet's office where there were people and other animals. His current foster home is not active enough to give him the exercise, training, and socialization he should have. He needs an active family to give him some training and lots of play time. He is so smart that he might be able to train as a service dog. The bottom line is that Radar is a really good, young dog who needs a best friend and a loving and active forever home. He is also a gorgeous dog whose photos do not do him justice, with his sleek coat and beautiful reddish-brown highlights. Please text Loni at 865-282-7846 or email uneekseven@gmail.com if you want to meet Radar and give him the good life he deserves. Story
Scarlett was a stray and she was adopted from Young Williams Animal center in Knoxville. She is very sweet with humans and practically attached at the hip. She is very good with cats other than a little non aggressive chasing. With other dogs she has resource guarding issues and can be feisty around food, treats, or toys. If adopted with another resident dog, she would need to be carefully watched when eating or around toys/bones. She would make a very good single dog. She has been house broken, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Scarlett absolutely loves her humans and is very loyal.
