Story
Current location : Sneedville, TN 37869 Zolo, a vibrant East German Shepherd, is available for adoption following the passing of his previous owner in 2023. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are seeking a new home for Zolo and one other German Shepherd, as their current caretaker is unable to provide the necessary level of care. Zolo is an intelligent and energetic companion who excels at frisbee, fetch, and agility activities. His high trainability makes him an ideal candidate for advanced training programs. We are seeking an active individual or family with children who can provide Zolo with the attention, exercise, and mental stimulation he requires. The ideal adopter will be committed to continuing his training and engaging with this intelligent and affectionate dog regularly.

Story
Current location : Sneedville, TN 37869 Melee is a loving German Shepherd available for adoption. She was rescued approximately 5 years ago from a situation where she was confined to a crate full-time with inadequate care. She became my mother's devoted companion until my mother's unfortunate passing in 2023 following a brain tumor diagnosis. At 75 years of age, my father is no longer able to provide the care and attention Melee requires. Melee has a gentle temperament and is highly trainable. She has mastered basic commands and enjoys performing tricks. Her loyal nature makes her an excellent companion. She would thrive in an environment with space to run and play, and particularly enjoys interactive toys and water activities. We are seeking an active adopter who can provide proper care, ongoing training, and mental stimulation for this wonderful dog. Melee is excellent with children and other dogs, making her ideal for a family with a yard where she can play with canine companions.

Story
Adoption Area: East Tennessee Annie needs: An active home -Children over 8 years old -Someone home part of the day to continue potty training -Someone committed to giving her a Phenobarbital twice daily to keep seizures controlled -ONLY TOPICAL FLEA/TICK PREVENTION, no oral preventives because of seizure history -No apartments/condos -Fenced yard -No cats Hi! My name is Annie! I am an active, smart 3 year old 10.8 lb female Chihuahua (possible MinPin) mix. I was surrendered by my owner for possible seizures. Turns out, I was having seizures, but the fine folks at SBRET know how simple that is to fix. Their vets put me on Phenobarbital twice a day and my seizures are now controlled. Phenobarbital is super affordable too. I take my medicine in a pill pocket with no problem at all. My new people need to be committed to giving me my medicine twice a day to keep me happy and healthy. See, easy peasy! I’ll be honest, I was pottying in the house when I first came to my foster home, but I am a very smart girl and my foster people have taught me that pottying in the house isn’t something dogs should do. My potty training is going very well as long I go out regularly. There may be some backsliding when I first get to my furever home, so I will need someone home part of the day to keep my potty training on track. I walk well on a leash too. I ride well in the car. I sleep in a crate at night in my foster parents’ bedroom but I imagine I would love to be snuggled in the big bed with my people too. I do not like being in a crate when my foster people leave the house though. It upsets me and I cry. My foster people have discovered I do better out of the crate and I even stopped having accidents while they are out! I love to run at top speed in the fenced yard and get my zoomies out. I like playing with all the toys in my foster house and even play fetch with them. I am very food motivated and could probably learn all sorts of cool tricks and good behaviors with someone with the time to teach me. I get along fine with the other dogs and cat in my house most of the time, but I will guard food. I love to snuggle next to my people on the sofa too, but I lap guard my humans from the other pets and my foster people are working on that with me as well. I respond very well to verbal corrections as well as praise. I absolutely LOVE my Mister Man (foster dad)! I follow him everywhere. He is the apple of my eye. My foster mom is cool too, but when my Mister Man gets home, I am beside myself with joy and am very vocal about it. I am a vocal little lady, I will talk back to you when you talk to me and I will sing along with you if you sing to me. I’m fun! No cats please. I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on my flea and heartworm preventatives. By the way, I cannot take oral flea/tick prevention due to my seizure history, I have to use the topical varieties. I am also up to date on my Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella. My adoption fee is $175. I am a super smart, high energy little lady looking for her active furever people. Is it you who I’m waiting for?!!!
