Story
Mocha is a 2-year-old boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This handsome boy is friendly, energetic, and always ready for fun. He loves meeting new people and greets everyone with a happy tail wag and playful spirit. Mocha is an outgoing pup who enjoys staying active. Long walks are one of his favorite things, and he would make a great companion for someone who enjoys getting outside and exploring. He’s also a playful guy who loves spending time with other dogs and would enjoy a home with a canine friend. This smart boy already knows how to sit, especially when treats are involved (which he absolutely loves!). Mocha is eager to learn and would thrive with someone who enjoys teaching him new things and giving him lots of attention. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and adventurous companion, Mocha might be the perfect match for you!Adopt from MCASAll of our dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (and treated if positive), microchipped, and current on all vaccinations. We are open 7 days a week 12pm to 5pm for adoptions, no appointment necessary!Adoption Center: 931-375-1402If you would like more information about this dog, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Kim, at kraffauf@gmail.com

Story
URGENT: Foster or adopter Needed!! My heart is heavy writing this. Johnny and Tommy need a foster home this weekend if at all possible. These sweet boys are 11-year-old full brothers, small at just 15–20 pounds.Since they were puppies (around 6–8 months old), they’ve lived on a farm where they’ve truly been the guardians of the land—an alarm system for anything that drives onto the property. They’ve peacefully lived alongside other dogs, goats, horses, donkeys, and pigs. They’re used to being outdoors most of the time and were brought inside during bad weather. They are not house trained, but they are smart, food-motivated, and eager to please. They love treats and warm up quickly to people who come bearing snacks.Johnny’s past hasn’t been easy. He was kicked by a previous owner wearing boots, so he can be skittish—especially around boots—and has some anxiety with crates and car rides. Despite that, he has so much love to give once he feels safe. They’ve been fed pedigree kibble and have known a simple, consistent life. These boys don’t understand why things are changing. They deserve a soft place to land!If you can foster—or know someone who can, please reach out. Giving Johnny and Tommy a home right now would mean everything to them… and to all of us trying to help them. Story
Hi, I’m Kipper (the big little gentleman) Hello there! My name is *Kipper*, and I’m a 25-pound Jack Russell–Rat Terrier mix with excellent manners and a very serious love of snacks. If you have a treat, I will sit like the most distinguished gentleman you’ve ever met. I don’t rush greatness. I’m about six years old, very smart (not to brag… but also yes to brag), and I really listen when my people talk. I like understanding what’s going on — it helps me be the best boy possible. My favorite things:• Racing and wrestling with my little brother, Spike• Corn-cobbing his neck (it’s how I show love)• Sniffing adventures and pretending I’m on an important hunt• Lap time and cozy TV watching• Being told I’m a good boy (accurate) I can be a little cautious when meeting new people, especially men, but once I know you’re safe, I am loyal, affectionate, and deeply devoted. I take my job of loving my family very seriously. I came from a home where we were very loved, but our mom got sick and couldn’t care for us anymore. Right now we’re staying with our stepsister, but her big dogs think they run the world… and honestly, they do. So my brother and I are hoping to find a calm home where we can stay together. Because here’s the important part:I don’t just come with a personality — I come with Spike. He’s my teammate, my wrestling partner, and my favorite little guy in the whole world.   Meet my little brother, *Spike* (certified sweetheart) This is Spike, my 10-pound sidekick and professional kiss-sneaker. He’s about four years old and a bit shy at first, but once he trusts you… surprise! You’ve been kissed. Spike is very expressive. When we go outside, he tells the entire universe how excited he is. He loves:• Racing me like it’s the Olympics• Pouncing with dramatic flair• Sniffing absolutely everything• Rolling in grass like it’s a spa treatment• Quiet cuddles and lap time• Being near me (he pretends it’s for protection, but I think he just loves me) He’s gentle, sweet, and very emotionally intelligent. If you’re having a soft moment, he will be right there for you. Like me, Spike can be unsure of strangers at first, but he warms up with patience and kindness. We both crate beautifully together — we rest when it’s quiet time and save our fun for walks, meals, and playtime. We are curious about cats and would probably try to chase them, but truly we’re just little explorers at heart.   Our promise We love each other deeply. We nap together, play together, and watch TV together. We share a crate, share adventures, and share comfort when things feel new or scary. If you open your home to us, you won’t just get two dogs. You’ll get:• A gentleman and his tiny best friend• Built-in entertainment• Loyal companionship• Double the cuddles• A ready-made family We’re looking for a foster or forever home where we can stay side by side — just the way we’ve always been. If you have a lap, a little patience, and maybe a treat… we’re already halfway in love with you. Love,Kipper (and Spike, who says “Hi” and would like to kiss you now) Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step. Story
**New Year’s Wish: Help Tabby Find a Fresh Start!** Meet **Tabby**, a sweet 6-year-old pup (about 40–45 lbs) who is hoping the New Year brings her the fresh start she truly deserves. This gentle girl was rescued as a tiny 3-month-old puppy and has been deeply loved ever since. Unfortunately, she hasn’t been adjusting well to a new baby in the home, so she’s now looking for a **calm, child-free environment** where she can feel safe, relaxed, and understood. We are urgently searching for a **foster home** to help Tabby start her next chapter. Ideally, this would be a home without other dogs — or one that can offer **slow introductions and close supervision** to see how she does. She *can* get along with other dogs, especially smaller ones; she just needs a little time and patience. We know this is a big ask, especially as everyone settles into the New Year, but fostering Tabby would mean giving her something priceless: **stability, comfort, and peace**. If you have room in your home — and your heart — to foster Tabby, you could be the reason her New Year begins with hope instead of uncertainty. Please share. Her fresh start might be just one share away. To foster or adopt Apply online https://russellrescuetn.com/adoption or email Russellrescuetn@gmail.com if already approved March 8, 2026, 12:43 am
