Story
River is a very sweet, lovable boy that needs more attention than our family with young kids can currently give him at this point. He loves people, does well with our cat, and doesn’t show a lot of interest in other dogs. He is more people-focused. River is an excitable boy with lots of energy and would likely require a fenced-in yard or designated area to run. He loves to play fetch and will bring a tennis ball back to you. He has had basic command training and seems eager to learn more. He would love to meet you!

Story
Lucy is a 2.5 year old cocker spaniel from Candy's Cockers (breeder) in Tampa, FL. She was my mothers dog and since she can't take care of her anymore I am looking for a home for this fabulous dog. She is the dog on the right in the 2nd pic and she is a very loving and sweet dog that needs someone that has more time to take care of her. She is good with kids (plays with a hyper 5 year old weekly), is good with dogs (she gets a bit afraid of bigger dogs and not sure how she is with rescue dogs but gets along great with my dog who's slightly smaller.) Is good with cats (but there is a learning curve) as my aunt has 2 youngish cats and after almost 2 weeks she finally stopped barking at them and they get along great and wants to play with them! She is a bit of a whiner as she has attachment issues with whoever is taking care of her(was my mom and now my aunt) but will get over it eventually and will be a fantastic addition to your home. Please contact if interested, willing to drive far.

Story
URGENT Rehoming needed! JJ is a boxer/mastiff mix and a big, lovable, teddy bear; about 8-years old. We “inherited” him when he was about 3 when his owner passed away unexpectedly. He has remained at the property where his previous owner lived, with the caretaker making sure he is loved and looked after. The property is now being sold, and JJ needs a new home (the caretaker is unable to keep him). JJ does well with other dogs, cats, and children. He has a loving personality and really is a gentle giant. He would do best with a large area of land to be able to run around. He has been mostly an outside dog but as you can see from his photos, he also does great inside.

Story
A Note From Loki’s Storm Foster: When I first brought Loki home, it took him about a day to settle in, since he was understandably a bit anxious about being in a new environment. But once that initial time passed, he seemed to feel completely at ease. Loki’s energy was more of a couch potato, but sometimes he wanted to play. He was never destructive in the home, and he did not have any accidents whatsoever. He had the experience of being around 4 other dogs, both male and female, big and little, and he was welcoming and social. He loved my grandchildren, especially their belly rubs. When Loki met new people behind a door, he was barrier reactive and would bark at them (a great watchdog!), but the barking immediately subsided once the people were inside, and he realized that everything was OK. Loki barked when he heard a noise outside or when someone was at the door, but he settled down quickly. Loki was friendly to everyone. He minded me when he saw me get the leash and would come when I said, “Come Loki.” He liked to spend time outside but also wanted to be where people are. He was a good walker and wanted to meet other walkers and their dogs, although we didn’t meet anyone on leash. He slept quite a bit because he is an older dog, but he also loved his walks and would get excited with special experiences like the snow. In addition to the longer write-up below, Loki also loves toys and will engage in appropriate play enthusiastically! An ideal home for Loki would be one with outdoor access off leash and/or frequent walking, and possibly with children since he seemed to love them. He could be with other dogs too, although he would also be fine alone. He could live in an apartment, but due to his bigger, stronger size, he might do better with a house. Loki does not have any behavioral problems that I can see, as long as people understand his barrier issues (which are resolved once people are inside). He is not a “needy” dog but did like my attention and affection. He showed me affection back. I would keep him if my townhome was bigger.
