Story
Well… his name is Chitlin. And honestly, if you’re from the South, you already know this boy has personality. Chitlin is a 2 year old, 33lb country boy lookin’ for a front porch, a farm truck, and somebody to ride shotgun while judging the neighbors. He’s housebroken, good with other dogs, and the perfect size, big enough to help you do chores, small enough not to eat you out of house and home. Need somebody to supervise while you feed the chickens? Chitlin’s your man. Need somebody to follow you around the barn like he’s got a full-time job? He’s already clocked in. Need somebody to sit beside you at the end of the day while the sun goes down? Buddy… this is that dog. Chitlin ain’t fancy. He’s just good people. The kind of dog that belongs on a farm, curled up in the passenger seat of an old truck, or stretched out under a shade tree after a long day’s work. And let’s be honest… you’re not gonna forget a dog named Chitlin.

Story
Y'all know that one old chest of drawers that's been in the family forever? It creaks a little, one drawer sticks, and Pawpaw refuses to get rid of it because, "They don't make 'em like this anymore."* Well... meet Chester Drawers. 😂 Now don't let the gray face fool you. This old boy has enough energy to supervise the entire neighborhood. He'll trot around the yard, investigate every smell, and then look at you like you're the one slowing him down. He's got plenty to say about the squirrels, the mail carrier, and these youngsters running around with no manners. If dogs could yell, "Y'all quit slammin' my drawers!" it'd be Chester. The only thing slowing this old Southern gentleman down is that he's heartworm positive. The good news? Heartworm is treatable, and we'd love for Chester to start treatment from the comfort of a home instead of a kennel. We'll provide his treatment we just need someone willing to open their home to this hilarious old character. Because the truth is... they really don't make 'em like Chester Drawers anymore. He's got a few creaks, a whole lot of personality, and enough love tucked away in those "drawers" to fill an entire house. Come meet Chester. We promise he's the kind of old man who'll steal your recliner... and your heart. ❤️

Story
When the Sheriff's Department "apprehended" Starlite, we expected the usual intake photo. Instead... she showed up looking like she'd just won an all-expenses-paid vacation. Just LOOK at that smile. 😂 Most dogs are a little unsure when they arrive at the shelter. Starlite? She was absolutely unbothered. No complaints. No dramatic sighs. No "I'd like to speak to my attorney." Just one giant, unapologetic grin that says, "This place has snacks, doesn't it?" At just 2 years old and 43 pounds, Starlite is the perfect medium-sized companion. She's housebroken, walks through life with an easygoing attitude, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and has yet to meet a person she doesn't seem to adore. She's the kind of dog who doesn't ask for much just a comfy place to nap, a few treats, and someone to share that famous smile with. Whatever happened before she arrived, Starlite has decided she's focusing on the future and honestly, we could all take notes. If you're looking for a dog whose tail never stops wagging and whose smile could brighten even the longest Monday, Starlite is ready to make your home a much happier place. 🐾 Come meet the happiest "suspect" we've ever had in custody. We have a feeling she'll steal your heart... and unlike the original charges, she's definitely guilty of that
