Story
Miss Luna is an 8-year-old, 63 lb black Lab with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. Despite being blind, Miss Luna doesn't let anything slow her down. She is spunky, energetic, curious, and determined to experience everything the world has to offer. Her absolute favorite things are car rides and spending time with her people. Around the house, Miss Luna has an adorable 'zombie-leg' walk as she carefully maps out her surroundings and gains confidence in new spaces. It's one of her most endearing quirks and part of how she navigates the world as a blind dog. Luna gets along well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship, but she would also be perfectly happy as the center of attention in a home of her own. Her experience with cats is unknown. Because she can't see, Miss Luna relies heavily on her other senses. Her sense of smell is incredible, and she is endlessly curious about every scent she encounters. She knows several commands, including 'sit', 'come', 'up', and 'down'. Miss Luna loves her toys, enjoys running whenever she gets the opportunity, and thrives on being included in her family's activities. She may not be the most graceful runner, but she makes up for it with enthusiasm and determination. Due to her blindness, she does best with a harness and a safe environment where she can explore confidently. When it's time to relax, Miss Luna is a champion cuddler. She loves naps, sleeping in late, and curling up right next to her person. In fact, she prefers knowing where her people are at all times and finds comfort being close. Face rubs and gentle eye rubs are her absolute favorite-she will completely melt into your lap. Luna is good with children, but because she cannot see, she doesn't always recognize personal space or physical boundaries. She would do best with a family that understands how to safely guide and support a blind dog. Because Miss Luna depends so much on companionship and routine, she is not a dog who should be left alone for long periods. Her ideal home would be with someone who enjoys taking their dog along for daily adventures, errands, road trips, and family activities. You'll occasionally hear Luna bark-not because she's being difficult, but because she's curious or checking to make sure her people are still nearby. Likewise, when there is a lot of noise from conversations, television, or music, her heightened senses can make it harder for her to settle because she's trying to figure out where every sound is coming from. Miss Luna may not see the world, but she experiences it with her whole heart. She's looking for a patient, loving family who will help her navigate life while embracing all the joy, loyalty, affection, and adventure she has to offer. 📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in **private shelters or foster homes in South Korea**. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States **through legal and fully compliant international transport procedures**. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate **in real time** with our rescue team through official organizational and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. --- Nemo’s story began in a place no puppy should have to grow up. He was found as a very young puppy, tied up at a duck farm in a rural area on the outskirts of the city. Alongside him was his sister, Semo. Both puppies were kept on chains, despite being only around six months old at the time. They were believed to have been raised to guard the farm. The conditions were extremely poor. Food and water were not consistently provided, and the environment was not suitable for young dogs. Thankfully, a local resident noticed their situation and began bringing them food and water every day. After repeatedly trying to persuade the farm owner without success, the resident eventually offered to buy the dogs to secure their safety. The owner agreed, and Nemo and his sister were finally released and brought into a private shelter. At the shelter, both dogs received stable care and began to recover—physically and emotionally. Semo was adopted last year (2025) and now lives happily with her forever family in San Francisco. Nemo has remained in our care, and throughout this time, he has shown nothing but a kind and loving nature. He is exceptionally friendly with both people and other dogs. In fact, he is so gentle and welcoming that he could easily be described as a “welcome dog”—the kind of dog who makes everyone feel at ease. Nemo loves toys, is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and walks calmly on a leash. He is generally confident, though he may occasionally startle when large vehicles pass by or when motorcycles move quickly nearby. Nemo is in excellent health and has all the qualities of a wonderful companion. He is affectionate, well-mannered, and deeply social—a truly ideal family dog. Now, he is simply waiting for a family of his own. ------- 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee **already includes all essential costs**, such as: * International transportation * Customs clearance and export documentation * Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, **we kindly ask that inquiries regarding cost breakdowns or fee negotiations be avoided**. My name is Nyx and I am the happiest, sweetest, most fun pup you will ever meet! I mean, that is what my foster mom tells me! I am a 1 year old mix with a shiny black coat, bright white teeth and weigh about 50 lbs. So I am perfect! Again, I am only going by what I am told! I absolutely love to run and play and would love to have another dog to play with. You know what would be perfect? If my family liked to run and play and hike and swim and maybe even do agility training with me! I already have a trainer that could help with that! Wait, am I talking too fast? I know I am quick and love to run! There are a few details you should know about me. I should not live with any small animals. So, no cats, hamsters, chickens or anything like that. But I do love other dogs- even the great big ones! I also have a goofy looking front foot. It is no big deal. I just had to have a toe amputated. Whatever that means. Doesn't bother me in the least! You know what is great? I have been allowed to spend a few weeks with a trainer to learn all kinds of new things! She tells me I am so smart! I love to learn and have been working so hard in school! I even get to have some follow up lessons and bring you along! Doesn't that sound fun? Oh, and as an added bonus, I am crate trained and potty trained! Amazing, right?! I am a really good girl! My foster loves me! I have met some older kids and I think they would be fun! While I think the young ones might be fun, too, I think I might have too much energy for them. It would make me sad to accidentally knock anyone over. I settle down nicely in the house and would love to cuddle with you. My foster mom says I am a velcro girl. I am not sure what that means, but if you need any help in the bathroom, I will be there! I am just a young, happy girl looking for my forever family. Could you be the one for me? Story
Halo Grace is a beautiful 10-year-old black Lab who is everything you could ever hope for in a Lab- friendly, loving, loyal, devoted, and absolutely ball-loving! We feel incredibly fortunate that Halo's family loved her so much that, after both of her people passed away, a family member contacted SCLRR to make sure she would find the wonderful home she deserves. We are honored to help this special girl find her new people. Halo has been in foster care for several weeks, where she lives with another female senior Lab and regularly has a female Chihuahua visiting. They all get along beautifully. Halo Grace has also been enjoying beach outings and daily trips to a huge off-leash dog park. There, she has met big dogs, little dogs, friendly dogs, grumpy dogs, crazy dogs, puppies, and everything in between- and she gets along with everyone, even the dogs who try to steal her beloved ball! She is housebroken, does not need to be crated, sleeps quietly on her bed and loves to be brushed. She loves her balls and stuffed toys, enjoys her walks and trips to the park, and has the happiest, constantly wagging tail. Although not living in a foster home that has cats, Halo Grace has not shown any interest in cats (nor squirrels, for that matter) that she's encountered on walks. She does not appear to have a prey drive. When Halo Grace came to SCLRR, she weighed 131 pounds. Her family clearly loved and spoiled her with food, and because of their medical circumstances, they were not able to give her the exercise she needed. The good news is that Halo has had recent blood work that looks great, including a normal thyroid. She has already lost 7 pounds and is now 124 pounds! She is making wonderful progress on her weight-loss journey. Her foster family has also introduced her to fruits and vegetables. She wasn't particularly impressed with them at first, but she has gradually decided that some of them aren't so bad after all! We are looking for a family who will continue to support Halo's healthy weight-loss and exercise program. She genuinely enjoys being active and loves getting out for walks and adventures. Halo Grace is currently taking a high-quality glucosamine and omega fatty acid supplement. Because she appears to have been overweight for several years, she does have some arthritis in her knees. Thankfully, her hips are in great shape according to her veterinarian, and the best medicine for her knees is continuing her journey toward a healthier weight. Despite everything she has been through, Halo is a happy, loving girl who is ready for the next chapter of her life. She has so much love to give and is looking for someone who will love her right back- and help her become the healthiest version of herself. COURTESY POST / URGENT! MUST EXIT SHELTER 4/25 by 4PM OR WILL BE EUTHANIZED! Introducing our playful, affectionate, young boy COCO! He’s 10 months old, puppy-like, enjoys toys and playing fetch, and knows his sit command, loves treats. He will need guidance/training, but he has the basics down and he’s eager to please. Coco loves people and leans in for attention, snuggling, and petting. He has participated in Shelter play groups and overall doing well. Needs a bit of confidence building. Coco was adopted from the shelter as a puppy and surrendered back to the shelter 9 months later for being “hyper”. Sadly, he was a backyard-only dog and his shelter was a wooden dog house. His coat was in poor shape when surrendered. Coco was recently adopted but returned after one day. He was not good with the 2 small resident dogs and nipped at the adopter while he was sleeping. Coco is a young pup who is good natured, sweet, engaging, friendly, and still learning about the world. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and seems a bit love-starved.
