Lexi is a sweet, soulful girl who is estimated to be around 2 years old—though she could easily be a bit younger. From the moment you meet her, it’s clear that she’s craving affection, reassurance, and a place where she truly belongs. She loves being close to her people and is happiest either curled up in your lap or right by your side. Lexi has clearly had some training and is eager to please. She responds to her name, knows cues like leave it, walks nicely on leash, and has excellent car manners. She’s gentle, attentive, and very tuned in to her humans. While Lexi is still learning how to play with other dogs, she truly wants to join in. With time, patience, and positive exposure, she’s expected to gain confidence and learn the ropes from her foster siblings. Her heart is wide open—she just wants to be accepted and loved. Lexi would do best in a calm, loving home where she can continue to build confidence and soak up all the affection she’s been missing. Story
Gemma, a Chocolate Lab Mix, has just arrived in rescue and we are still getting to know her. She is living in a foster home with a senior dog and, while disappointed that he doesn't want to play much, she is being respectful of his wishes and his role as master of the household. Adoption Application: https://www.fetchinretrieversrescue.org/adopt-a-dog/ Gemma had a rough time when she was brought into a local shelter as a stray. Much to the surprise of the staff, she was pregnant with five puppies, only one of which survived. They spayed her and estimated her age to be between 2 1/2 and 3 years. She is easy to walk on leash and has some skin issues that need attention. She appears to be housetrained, but accidents can happen when a dog moves to a new home, so patience and understanding will be needed. She is underweight, so we aren't sure if the counter surfing she likes to do is because she is hungry or if it's a long term behavior that will require management and retraining. We need more time with Gemma to get a better sense of her personality so she isn't ready to go to her forever home yet, but we'll keep updating her bio as she settles in. So far she is proving to be a sweet, easy going girl.

They’re social, expressive, and already showing those little glimpses of who they’re becoming—some more adventurous, some more observant, all completely adorable in their own way. With a mix of Lab curiosity and Hound-style attentiveness, these pups already show signs of being engaged, people-oriented, and tuned into their surroundings in that classic, watchful puppy way. As they grow, they’ll each start to develop their own personality, but right now they’re bonded by puppy energy, shared naps, and the kind of innocent joy that only comes at this age.
