My name is Benson Boy and I am about 8 years old and 74 lbs. I was recently rescued from a local shelter after I was found as a stray in Santa Maria. I was recently neutered and treated for kennel cough (all better now). I have been showing off to my foster parents! I know how to sit, shake, stay, come and wait. Maybe I know even more? And you better spell WALK or I will expect to be taken for a walk, after I fetch my own leash (see me showing off in one of my videos). I have a good appetite and calmly eat and take treats very gently. I don't beg when my foster parents eat, except I get very interested if they are eating an apple and will sit and stare them down. I am extremely well behaved and would say I'm medium energy. I'm not interested in fetching, but will play a little tug of war. I walk on the leash without pulling except when I smell something really interesting I will pull a little on the leash, but quickly stop when corrected. If you are looking for a companion to be by your side I'm your dog. I follow my foster parent around the yard or house and will be happy just hanging out. I love my beds and happy in my crate, although, it's not necessary as I am so well behaved. I get excited when I see people, but I don't jump on them. I've seen a cat in the driveway and was interested but I left it alone, but saw another cat that ran and I wanted to run after it. I get super excited when I met new dogs, which can be intimidating, but given a little time I settle down and am friendly. I have a couple of toys I like to carry around when I get excited and will chew on them occasionally. I would love to be your new side kick and hang out with you. Meet Ttui 💕 He is a bright and very affectionate! He is very gentle and likes people, but he is a little wary at first. Once getting close to him by giving him plenty of time, he follows people around. 😍 When he first came to the Adogs Center, he didn’t mind other dogs sniffing him and received their greetings without any growling. He adapts well anywhere and is very easy going. 🥰 He gets excited at the beginning of his walk and needs training to not pull his leash. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Malcolm is a sweet and mellow 2-year-old Lab mix. He's very well socialized, so we think he was kept in somebody's backyard before he was found scavenging for scraps on the street. Neighbors say he had been living for weeks in the area, drinking from the gutter to survive. Malcolm is so friendly, he came right up to us and asked to be saved. We searched for an owner, but without a collar or chip, we didn't have any luck. Now, Malcolm is getting used to living in a house and sleeping on a warm, cozy bed. He's very smart and is responding well to training. He already knows many basic commands. Malcolm is a good boy and walks well on a leash, which is pretty amazing for a big dog! Malcolm likes other dogs and gets along well with dogs in the home as well as those he sees on the street. He's still getting used to cats but should go to a home without cats. Malcolm is super friendly to everyone he meets and loves to cuddle. He'd make a great companion for long walks, jogging or hiking. He really is a great dog! We've had Malcolm examined by our vet, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Introducing, Zippy AKA Tucker, a true gentleman. He was recently rescued from the shelter. Now it's time to find him a furever home! Zippy is approximately 8 years old and 73 pounds It takes him a little time to warm up, but once he does, he's a sweet and loyal companion who sticks to you like Velcro. While he adores plush squeaky toys and walks nicely on a leash, he can get a bit reactive when he sees other dogs, simply because he's eager to make new friends.
