Story
Max Rey is a 7 years old English Lab at 100 lbs. This handsome boy had some difficult beginnings. His previous owner had to give him up along with his sister as he moved into an apartment that did not allow dogs. Max is definitely a Velcro boy, house trained, uses the doggy door, and he is not destructive when left alone. He is not a big fan of being alone so he may bark and cry. He travels well in the car, gets along well with his foster sister and the 2 cats at his temporary home. Max spent 2 weeks with a professional trainer and he learned some manners as he was a blank slate. He has better leash skills too. It would be great if his new family continues to help him with his training and exercise. He is a loving boy; he is what we call a Velcro dog. He loves to cuddle with his humans and be around them as much as possible. His ideal family would be someone who is not away from home for long periods of time and preferably without small children because of his size! If you are interested in giving Max Rey a forever home, please contact your Family Rep. If you have not yet applied with us, please submit an online application to adopt; an SCLRR volunteer will then contact you. Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home.

Story
Hi! My name is Geordie, and I am just a baby, only 5 months old. You might ask how I ended up in this situation. Well, my owner did some bad stuff that puppies shouldn't be part of, and I ended up at the shelter with my friend, Fergus. We were both in a very small kennel, really scared, dirty, and covered in ticks. The really nice people who rescued me said my life had already been too hard for such a small pup, so they scooped me up and took me home. I had my first bath and it was glorious! My foster mom says I am just the sweetest, and I think it must be true because everyone who meets me says the same thing. I think I might have even heard the word 'perfection'? I'm super calm and mellow for someone my age. My foster mom says I am very stealth. I follow her around so quietly she doesn't know I'm there! I enjoy lying by my foster mom's feet while she works. I am still learning how to puppy, but have decided I love to cuddle and if you would like, I would LOVE to sleep on the bed with you! I will just curl up and be a good boy. I am learning good manners and am super smart and easy to train. I have already learned to sit, stay, and wait when I am being fed. I respond quickly, and when I start to jump up, my foster mom says No jump and I listen right away. I like to run around and play tug, and would very much love another dog to play with to teach me all the dog stuff. My foster mom has a pool, and I decided on my own to jump in, and I found swimming very fun and natural for me. My foster mom has a 7-year-old chocolate lab, and we have so much fun together. I am too little to be left alone very much, but I am doing well with my crate, and would love it if you could stay home with me while I grow up! Now, I feel I should be honest and tell you something about me. I have a cute little nub of a tail, but the vet said that's just the way I was born. I don't know why. It does make me look a little different, but I can still love you and wag my bottom happily. I am a very sweet boy just waiting for you to find me and love me. If you are willing to take a chance on me, I promise I will love you right back. Please contact your Family Rep if I look like the pup for you. I will be here working on all the dog stuff! If you are interested in making this Lab part of your family, please contact your SCLRR family representative. If you have not yet applied with us, please submit an online application to adopt; an SCLRR volunteer will then contact you. Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home.

** Current Location: in a local shelter in South Korea ** • Rescue Story : Meet Dugger👋 an adorable pup with a beautiful smile! Dugger was one of the 9 puppies found on a street in South Korea at just two months old and taken to a high-risk shelter. They were luckily saved right before euthanasia by the rescue team, but Dugger had to be hospitalized due to the mange treatment while all his siblings found their foster homes. Even long after he got a clean bill of health, he is still in the private shelter without a single chance to live in the loving home he deserves. This friendly pup is more than ready to find a forever home! • Personality: Friendly, Easy-going, Active Dugger's endearing and bright personality shines through with his charming smile and playful demeanor even in the shelter. We would like him to have a family who enjoys outdoor adventures so that Dugger can experience many activities he has been missing while staying in the shelter. • Affinity with -Cats: Tries to chase. -Dogs: Gets along with other dogs, but due to his play style, it would be ideal as the only dog in the house. -Adults/Kids: Good with all people including men and kids, but he hasn't lived with kids in a house before, so it will be necessary to supervise him being around kids at the beginning. • Shedding: 5-6 • Food Allergies: No. • Walking Manner: in training and improving! • Housetrained: Needs work, but he would prefer to potty outdoors when adopted. • Bathing/Brushing: tolerates both well • Separation Anxiety: None. • Carsickness: No. • Bark or Howl: No. • Like & Dislike: LOVES people and attention!

Story
❗Current location: in a local shelter in South Korea❗ • Rescue Story: Mongja was sold to an old man at a dog meat market. Luckily she was not slaughtered, but she was tied to a short leash and forced to guard the house and farm. A villager who took pity on her bought her from the old man, and that's how she was rescued. She is now protected and taken care of in a private shelter. • Personality: She is very playful, sweet, and smart. She gets along very well with other dogs and is very sociable. She's friendly with young children, but she's also sometimes seen to be wary of strangers, dropping to the floor when they visit or approach her unexpectedly. However, if you pet her, she would warm up quickly :) • Walking Manners: She tends to pull the leash on walks but will get better soon with training. • Crate-trained: yes • Health: She is scheduled to be spayed in a month (Aug 2024). ❗Our dogs are currently located in Korea, and they go through a legal process to get into the U.S. We are professionals with a lot of experience in this area. If you decide to adopt one of our dogs, the process will be smooth with us. See the experiences of other adopters on our Instagram. Please follow us @3ft.rescue

*PLEASE NOTE: The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org * Mufasa is already 11 weeks old! He is the cutest little lab mix who came to us with his siblings after an 'opps' litter. But no, we don’t know what the mix is — that’s the fun of rescuing a puppy, we all get to watch them grow up together and see what they look like/how big they get as adults!! Our best guess on adult size for this little nuggets would be somewhere around 50 or so pounds, but that of course is a guess and they could be bigger or smaller ;) What we do know is they are super playful, cuddly, social pups who will thrive with active, social families committed to all the fun, training and chaos that comes with a young puppy. If you're interested in adopting, complete an application on our website! Mufasa is currently being fostered in San Bernardino Area but can be adopted anywhere as long as you can come to SoCal and drive home. We don’t ship any of our dogs *PLEASE NOTE: The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org . Mufasa's adoption fee is $600*
