FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Malcolm is a sweet and mellow 2-year-old Lab mix. He's very well socialized, so we think he was kept in somebody's backyard before he was found scavenging for scraps on the street. Neighbors say he had been living for weeks in the area, drinking from the gutter to survive. Malcolm is so friendly, he came right up to us and asked to be saved. We searched for an owner, but without a collar or chip, we didn't have any luck. Now, Malcolm is getting used to living in a house and sleeping on a warm, cozy bed. He's very smart and is responding well to training. He already knows many basic commands. Malcolm is a good boy and walks well on a leash, which is pretty amazing for a big dog! Malcolm likes other dogs and gets along well with dogs in the home as well as those he sees on the street. He's still getting used to cats but should go to a home without cats. Malcolm is super friendly to everyone he meets and loves to cuddle. He'd make a great companion for long walks, jogging or hiking. He really is a great dog! We've had Malcolm examined by our vet, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. The family reached out for help, and we were happy to step in and get them placed into loving homes. Nova is brave and independent, fearless, and very playful. She always wants to be near her people and is easy to pick up and cradle on her back. She loves playing with her brother and is very smart. She's already sitting on command, potty training outside is going well, and crate training is off to a great start. Being separated from her sibling may be an adjustment as expected as they’ve been together since birth! 🥺 She is expected to be a large, active dog when full grown and will need a home ready for puppy energy and continued training. During the day, he's playing with other dog friends at a daycare center. He plays well with new dog friends and approaches strangers who give him snacks. Rescue Story * Yooah was brought to the Gimje City Shelter with her puppies, all in poor health. Yooah suffered from a severe skin condition that weakened her, and unfortunately, some of her puppies passed away. With the harsh winter approaching, Yooah and her remaining puppies were urgently rescued. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Is still getting used to human interaction and finds it challenging to accept touch or approaches. Patience is crucial as she slowly learns to trust and becomes comfortable around people. With familiar people, she approaches first to sniff them and accepts treats. Still flinches when being touched. * With Dogs: When first meeting other dogs, she shows a little bit of interest but isn’t proactive in engaging with them. If their energy levels are similar, she sometimes plays with other dogs. Used to be a bit wary of a few dogs at our center, but she hasn’t growled or shown any aggression towards other dogs recently. Gets along especially well with White, Adogs' rescued dog. * With Cats: Not confirmed as she hasn't encountered them yet. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed yet as she currently lives in a group setting at our center. * Potty Training: Does only pottying outdoors at our center. * Hygiene: Has only experienced brushing. Was scared, but docile and took to it well. * Walks: Has started training after being leashed, but still feels uncomfortable with walks. * Car Sickness: Not confirmed yet, but she has no motion sickness for short car rides. * Is a completely scaredy-cat, and has never bitten people. Has a single experience of nipping at another dog. * Frequently barks outdoors or in kennel but stops it when she sees people. If other dogs bark at her, she barks back. * Still feels uncomfortable with touching since she’s scared of people, but it has gotten a lot better and she sometimes even approaches first and accepts treats.
