Story
Meet Buster! Buster was surrendered by his previous humans at just 1 years old and heartworm positive. It takes time for him to be comfortable and show his true self. Originally, he was terrified of humans. Now his tail wags for feedings, to go outside, and when ready to play. He is friendly with his foster’s furry kids and doesn’t mind the cats. This kid is ready to be loved by his furever family. We need to make sure you gave extra patience, so he can bloom with his family. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. Loki is currently only available as a foster-to-adopt placement due to a medical need. He has bilateral medial luxating patellas (grade 4 in both knees) and will require surgery on each leg. To be considered, interested adopters must first complete an adoption application. If approved and you are comfortable with the medical needs and recovery time, they will sign our foster agreement and pre-adoption contract, and pay the $200 pre-adoption fee. Dallas Pets Alive will cover the cost of the necessary surgeries through our primary veterinary partner, Mazieâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s Mission in Plano. Once medical care is complete, the adoption can be finalized. All HSDC, Humane Society of Dallas County, adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. You can view all adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at https://hsdallascounty.org/available-dogs/. Story
We bought her from a neighbor back in 2017 she is currently 7 but will be 8 in May. She's very friendly with other dogs and children. With our current jobs and my son going off to college it's been very difficult to make time for her. We'd like to see her go home with someone that needs a companion and has the time to give her a better life. She did have a accident about 4 yrs ago and lost a eye but it hasn't stopped her from still being happy and active . She's adjusted very well and continues to enjoy life.
