Story
Meet Nim – The Cutest Pug on the Planet! Nim is a one-of-a-kind little boy who will absolutely melt your heart. He’s a tiny pug, weighing just 10 pounds, with the sweetest short little legs and a rare genetic anomaly that gave him long, fluffy fur—making him extra special and extra adorable. Quiet and calm by nature, Nim is the perfect snuggle buddy, but don’t let that fool you—he still gets bursts of playful energy where he scoots and hops around in pure joy when he sees you. He’s great with dogs of all sizes, cats, and absolutely adores children. Nim has been with us since he was just 8 weeks old, and now that he is 2, he’s still patiently waiting for his forever family. Sadly, many people searching for pugs want the typical loud snorts and snores—but Nim is different. He’s a soft-spoken, gentle soul, and truly the most precious pug you’ll ever meet. This little boy deserves a loving family who will celebrate his uniqueness… maybe even give him his very own Instagram page to show off his cuteness to the world! Story
Meet Jay – Big Personality, Bigger Heart  Meet Jay, a tall, 40-pound bundle of joy who might be part pug, part Aussie—and 100% personality. This energetic boy loves his toys and takes his self-appointed job of protecting the yard from bunnies, squirrels, birds, and even rogue leaves very seriously. He’s a true zoomie professional, both indoors and out, and would thrive in a home with another playful dog to burn off his energy (but no cats, please—he finds them far too interesting). Jay does best when meals are served on opposite sides of the room from his furry siblings, and he’s kennel trained—though his favorite sleeping spot is definitely the bed with his human. Fair warning: a little snoring may be included. He walks fairly well on a leash but pulls with enthusiasm, eager to explore everything the world has to offer. He’s great with the dog-savvy 3-year-old granddaughter in his foster home, but because Jay can get excited and zoom right past little ones, a home with older or dog-savvy kids (and no fragile seniors) would be ideal. He has some strong “accidental linebacker” energy when he jumps up to say hello. Jay is a sweet, loving boy who’s learning better manners every day. With continued structure, patience, and love, he’ll make an amazing companion for an active household ready to embrace his joyful spirit. ##2353867##

Story
Bruiser is a feisty 1 year old 17 lb. Pug. He's the whole package! Rough and tumble but the biggest snuggle pug too. I love him so much. He deserves treats, treats and more treats... and lots of kisses too. Bruiser is a funny guy. Calm but playful. And boy can he snore. You will never walk alone with this guy. Or bath alone, or lay in bed alone …. You get the idea. Oh, and great at smack talk too! Sweet puggy guy. So handsome, funny and sweet. Loves to play and just as happy to snuggle or sunbath. Loves dogs but really loves people more. This sweet 1-year-old pug named Bruiser was admitted to ER in serious pain. The owners were unable to afford the medical care he needed and were preparing to euthanize him. Instead of euthanasia, Bruiser has now been surrendered so he can receive treatment. He had a severe urinary tract infection and his white blood cell count was elevated, indicating infection. Even more concerning, he had bladder stones that were stuck in his urethra, which was extremely painful and dangerous. Without this surgery, Bruiser could not urinate and his condition quickly become life-threatening. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
🐾 Yuri ✨ Quick Summary Chill, snuggly, and just the right amount of playful, Yuri is the kind of dog who fits into your life like she’s always been there. She’s happy to follow you from room to room, soak up all the affection, and then curl up right next to you for a nap. If you’re looking for a laid-back companion who still has a little spark, Yuri is your girl. 💚 Fun Facts Loves her toys and will happily dig through her toy basket Big fan of snuggles, kisses, and being close to her people Gets little bursts of zoomies, then right back to lounging Professional “house supervisor” (not much for chores though 😄) Sweet, affectionate, and easygoing personality 🏡 Behavior & Home Life Age: ~3 years, 9 months (as of 4/5/2026) Weight: 21 lbs Energy Level: Low to medium (mostly chill with playful moments) Leash: Walks well and stays close to her person Crate: Crate trained (no accidents in crate) Potty: Potty trained, may need occasional reminders if busy Home Routine: Thrives with structure and enjoys a relaxed home environment Other Dogs: Dog-friendly and playful, but also happy as an only dog People & Strangers: Very people-oriented, loves affection and attention Kids: Good with kids Car Rides/Outings: Does well and enjoys being with her people 👉 Yuri does best in a home where she can be near her people—she’s not a “go do your own thing” kind of girl. 🩺 Medical Yuri is in great health and has been fully vetted and spayed. She previously had surgery to open her nares (nostrils) to support her breathing. As a flat-faced (brachycephalic) dog, she may sound like she is struggling to breathe when excited, but she settles quickly and has been medically cleared. She has minimal snoring for her breed. Because of her flat nose, she should avoid prolonged time outside in heat and midday walks. Our team is happy to provide guidance. 📖 Background Yuri came from a breeder, where she had two litters, and is now spayed and ready for her next chapter—living as a loved companion in a home of her own. ✨ Final Thoughts Yuri is the total package—loving, easygoing, and adaptable. She would do well with an older couple, a younger couple, a family with kids, or just about anyone looking for a loyal companion. Whether she’s your one and only or joining another dog, she’s ready to settle in and be your little shadow. If you’re looking for a snuggly best friend who just wants to be loved, Yuri is waiting for you 💚 ⚠️ Quick Notes • Age is an estimate and may be adjusted over time • Behavior may vary as Yuri settles into a new home, routine, and environment 🐾 Adoption Information & Requirements All Dallas DogRRR dogs are: • Microchipped • Current on age-appropriate vaccinations • On heartworm prevention Microchip ownership is transferred to the adopter upon finalizing adoption. ✂️ Spay/Neuter Policy • Dogs 5 months and older are spayed/neutered prior to adoption and cannot go home until completed • Puppies under 5 months are adopted with a spay/neuter contract Adopters must complete spay/neuter by 6 months of age Options: • Completed through Dallas DogRRR (covered by the rescue) • Completed through your own veterinarian If completed independently, proof must be submitted to: 📧 medicalrequests@dallasdogrrr.org A $100 refundable deposit is required at adoption and will be returned once proof is received • If not completed by 6 months, the deposit will be forfeited • If there is a medical reason for delay, please contact: 📧 medicalrequests@dallasdogrrr.org 🩺 Medical Care • Dogs over 6 months are heartworm tested • If heartworm positive, treatment is covered by the rescue Puppies: • Receive 3–4 rounds of vaccinations depending on age Adult Dogs: • Receive initial vaccines and boosters as needed • Yearly updates provided if in care long-term 🏡 Adoption Process View available dogs and apply at: 🌐 www.dallasdog.org/adopt • Please allow 2–3 business days for application review • If you have not heard back, follow up at: 📧 adopt@dallasdogrrr.org

Story
**Meet Kira!** Sweet, snorty, and fully retired from both puppy chaos *and* motherhood, Kira is ready to claim her rightful place as a full-time lap ornament. She’s the perfect mix of low-key companion and affectionate shadow—happy to waddle beside you on a stroll or snooze the day away by your side (while providing a little commentary along the way). 💚 **Fun Facts** * Loves toys twice her size (the bigger, the better) * Professional snuggler and champion napper * Deep sleeper… with award-winning snores * Spinning in happy little circles is her signature move * Thinks every meal is a five-star dining experience * A bit chatty on walks—she likes to announce her presence to the world * Former mama turned “playground police”… she likes to keep everyone in line 🏡 **Behavior & Home Life** **Energy Level:** Low **Leash:** Walks well and enjoys a nice, easy stroll (with a little commentary) **Crate:** Not crate trained, but does well in a pen setup **Home Routine:** Thrives with a calm, cozy routine and would likely do great with someone who can keep her on a consistent schedule **Socialization:** Has done well with people and other dogs **Other Dogs:** Friendly, especially with smaller pups (may supervise playtime 😉) **People & Strangers:** Very friendly and loves attention **Kids:** Likely best in a calmer home or with older kids **Car Rides/Outings:** Great in the car—happy to be your little copilot Kira is currently pen/potty pad trained and doing well with that setup. After raising multiple litters, her bladder is basically on its own retirement plan—sometimes it follows the rules, sometimes it freelances. She’d do best with someone who can keep her on a regular schedule as she continues to improve! .

Story
Hi! Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m Beignet. My friends call me Benny for short. Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m a sweet and social butterfly who found myself in the wrong place at the wrong time the week of Christmas 2025. I got hit by a car and someone gave me a ride to the shelter. They found out I had a pelvic fracture which explains why it hurt so much to walk! They also said I had worms in my heart. They made me comfortable and said I would need a foster by Christmas Eve, whatever that meant. Luckily my foster pawrent saw a post about me and decided to bring me home for Christmas! I got a comfy crate, lots of food, and three foster siblings and settled in for the road to recovery. Since Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ve been here Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ve seen the vet and have been a very good patient. I fit in with my foster siblings seamlessly and greet new friends with a sweet submissive demeanor. I have not had one accident in the house. I havenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t had walks on the leash yet but I love being pushed around in a stroller and taking in the fresh air! I love toys, but sometimes I pick up a shoe or a sock by accident! If you have some room for a little sweetness in your life, Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d love to meet you. Truly, my only fault is that I'm not sure how I feel about those really small furry friends - pretty sure mom calls them cats. I've only been around one cat roommate so far, but I wasn't a huge fan. Preferable, looking for a cat free home! All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
