Story
Seven-year-old Peggy is outgoing, energetic, confident, and a total boss babe. Despite being blind, she has no problem with taking charge and making her opinions known! Peggy navigates her foster home with ease and enjoys spending time with people, other dogs, and cats. Her favorite activities include following her people around the house, playing and cuddling with other dogs, chasing balls, chewing on toys, and going for walks. When it’s time to recharge, she snoozes soundly in her crate and snores loudly. She is housetrained, can use a doggie door, and eats her meals politely. Peggy requires daily eye drops to keep her peepers feeling fresh. Her ideal forever family will provide her with plenty of companionship from people and other dogs, and create a safe environment with her visual impairment in mind. If you’re inspired by bold, fearless, loving, and loyal ladies, Peggy might be your perfect match! Apply for her at dfwpugs.com.

Story
fter spending most of her life outside in Mexico and having her medical needs neglected, five-year-old Harper is now showing her cuddly, affectionate, and silly side! Her former medical issues, including pelvic fractures and a hernia, have now healed and she is enjoying a more active lifestyle. Harper’s favorite activities include playing with her blankets and bedding, snuggling with her stuffed elephant, following her foster mom and foster pug siblings around the house, running and jumping, chasing small wildlife in the yard, going for walks, and sleeping in bed with her foster mom at night. She is making great progress with her housetraining and crate training. With her challenging former life in mind, Harper’s forever family will provide her with love, care, and reassurance, help her build her confidence, and understand that she gets skittish around loud noises. Having another friendly and confident dog in the home may help her to come out of her shell and adapt to her new life. If you’d like to give this loving girl a fresh start, apply for her at dfwpugs.com!

Story
Seven-year-old Burton is a social and affectionate boy who loves meeting new people and dogs! A go-with-the-flow kind of guy, Burton has a happy disposition and enjoys simple pleasures including chewing on toys and bones, going for walks, and showing off his cuddling skills. He is a fast learner and is mastering new commands and skills in his foster home. Burton is making good progress with his housetraining and cooperates nicely with wearing belly bands in the meantime. He is crate trained and snoozes soundly in his crate through the night. Burton’s ideal forever family will provide him with plenty of snuggles and opportunities to socialize. In return, they’ll enjoy the company of “the sweetest, goofiest boy looking for love,” according to his foster mom. If you’d like to adopt Burton, apply for him at dfwpugs.com!

Story
Seven-year-old Remington is a playful and friendly girl who is young at heart! Her favorite pastimes include playing with other dogs, taking her people for walks (and planting her feet firmly in the ground to let them know she’d like to stop walking for a while), meeting new people, cuddling, and speed eating. Remington lives with cats in her foster home but ignores them. She is crate trained and has almost mastered housetraining. Due to her outgoing disposition, we believe that she would do best with a family that can provide her with plenty of social time and attention. Remington proves that blondes have more fun! If you’d like to make her the newest member of your family, apply for her at dfwpugs.com.

Story
Two-year-old Addie has a loving disposition and a charming underbite! When she’s not showing off her adorable teefs, Addie enjoys snuggling with her people and following them from room to room, playing with other dogs, going for walks, fetching balls, and chewing on bones and ropes. Now that her foster family has her on a schedule, Addie is making wonderful progress with her housetraining. She tolerates the crate but would much rather not be crated and separated from her family. Given her Velcro personality, Addie would be the best match for a family who has at least one person at home most of the time. If you’d like a permanent snuggle buddy, apply for Addie at dfwpugs.com!

Story
Five-year-old Cashew is a happy boy who is easy to please and loves meeting new people and dogs. His foster mom describes him as an “energetic and silly goofball.” Cashew has intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) and has an adorably wonky walk, but gets around well and enjoys most of the same activities that other dogs do, including cuddling with people of all ages, socializing with dogs and cats, playing with ALL the toys, going for walks, and scarfing down his food. He is crate trained, is housetrained, and will alert you when he needs to go outside with a cute muffled bark. Due to his laid-back and loving personality, we believe that Cashew will thrive in any home environment where he receives lots of affection and treats (not necessarily in that order). If you’d like to make him a permanent part of your family, apply for Cashew at dfwpugs.com!
