Story
Seven-year-old Lucky Girl is a puggle mix whose simple pleasures include back scratches, warm beds, bones, squeaky toys, road trips, and going camping. She gets an A+ in housetraining, knows how to use a doggie door, and is polite with children as long as they are calm. Lucky Girl would do best in a tranquil forever home where she is the only dog or lives with larger dogs. If you’re feeling lucky, fill out an application for this lovely lady at dfwpugs.com.

Story
Ready to meet some of our Power Couples, aka bonded pairs, available for adoption this holiday season? Let’s start with 8-year-old Trixie and Spank, an affectionate and spunkily-named duo. He’s a little bit country, she’s a little bit rock and roll. Trixie, the female half of the pair, is a total girl boss and confident queen, according to her foster mom. She has hip dysplasia and disc disease, but walks and trots enthusiastically, especially when there is a cat to chase. Her brother, Spank, is a mellow, gentle velcro pug who watches Trixie’s hijinks with much amusement. He loves to relax in the sun, cuddle, and try to finish Trixie’s food when she’s not looking. Trixie and Spank are indifferent to toys, and share a dislike of cats. They are friendly enough with their foster brother, but would rather see what the humans in the home are up to. They adore one another and will need to be adopted together. If you’re interested in giving this Power Couple a loving forever home, apply for Trixie and Spank at dfwpugs.com!
We'll also keep you updated on Spank's adoption status with email updates.

Story
One-year-old Thunder is a pug mix with a winning smile and a bit of curl to his tail! This young and impressionable boy is eager for training and responds well to loving boundaries. He is housetrained and crate trained, and prefers a solo dining experience. Table for one, please! Although he is polite with other dogs when they are not around his food, he is not particularly playful with them and seems to prefer the company of adult humans; he may thrive in a home where he is the only dog. His ideal forever family will have time to devote to training and make plenty of time for snuggles. Thunder’s foster mom reports that he is at his best when given consistent love, attention, and training, and he is quickly proving to be a loyal, affectionate, and obedient little guy. If Thunder sounds like your perfect BFF, apply for him at dfwpugs.com!

Story
One-year-old Mischief, aka “Missy” to her foster family, is a lively Velcro pug. Mischief, a winky girl who sees perfectly out of her remaining eye, loves playing with her foster pug siblings, chasing after toys, and going for walks. After an active day, her preferred way to recharge is by sleeping next to her humans in bed. Mischief is a social and good-natured girl overall, but she can be possessive over her food and occasionally over her humans as well. Her ideal forever family will allow her to dine solo and set loving boundaries encouraging her to live in harmony with any other dogs in her home. They will also help her continue to lead an active lifestyle, as she is happiest when she has outlets for her energy. If you’d like to adopt Mischief, apply for her at dfwpugs.com!

Story
Four-month-old pug/Brussels griffon mix Possum, aka “Awesome Possum” to his foster family, has a loving heart, an adventurous spirit, and a distinctive, flowing mane that flutters gently in the breeze. His very puppy-like interests include playing with his foster pug siblings, getting the zoomies in the yard, going for walks (he is apparently a very bouncy walker), and chasing balls and stuffed animals. In his more mellow moments, Possum enjoys being carried around the house like a baby. On top of being fun, playful, and sweet, Possum is a total smarty pants; he’s already housetrained, caught on to the doggie door quickly, will put himself in the crate at bedtime (though he would prefer to have a buddy in there rather than sleep solo), and will sit on command for treats. Next stop for Possum: Harvard! Given his young age and high energy level, Possum’s ideal forever family will have at least one person who is home most of the time to continue his training and ensure he gets plenty of exercise and socialization. A friendly and energetic canine playmate is a must for this outgoing boy as well! If you want to adopt a loving and friendly boy who quite possibly will have the best head of hair in your family, apply for Possum at dfwpugs.com!
