Pete is looking for a loving foster home where they can rest and recover while receiving medical treatment. Reason for Foster: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) Foster Time Frame: Approximately 1 week(The foster timeframe may vary depending on recovery and any follow-up medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Pete is being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. While recovering, they may have symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, and nasal/eye discharge. Because URI can be contagious to other dogs, we recommend keeping them separated from resident dogs until they have fully recovered. They will go home with medication and all the supplies needed for their care. Once treatment is complete, they will return to Operation Kindness for their spay/neuter surgery and adoption. How to take this pet home: Adopt: Pete is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows prospective adopters to take pets home before they are available for adoption. Hi! IâÂÂm Beignet, but my friends call me Benny. ðÂÂ¾ IâÂÂm around 3 years old, about 25âÂÂ㦊 pounds, and basically the perfect mix of playful, sweet, and easygoing. I had a rough start after being hit by a car around Christmas 2025, but thanks to lots of care, rest, and love, IâÂÂve made a full recovery and am back to doing all the normal dog things I love most. Running? Yep. Playing? Absolutely. Jumping around and having fun? You bet. These days, IâÂÂm living my best life and soaking up every adventure I can. I LOVE walks, enjoy playing with toys, and fit in seamlessly with other dogs. IâÂÂm a friendly, social guy who greets new people with a sweet and gentle demeanor, and my foster says IâÂÂve been an easy houseguest with zero accidents in the home. IâÂÂm also a pretty silly little dude. Sometimes I get so excited I accidentally grab a sock or shoe while looking for a toy, but I promise I mean well. I just love being involved in whatever my people are doing. After everything IâÂÂve been through, IâÂÂm more than ready for a forever family to call my own.
