Story
Two-year-old Hotrod is an active, lighthearted and happy boy who loves spending time with his pack, playing chase, going for walks, chewing on toys, taking car rides, and cuddling up by to his people. Hotrod’s favorite hobbies include chowing down at mealtime from his slow feeder bowl and chewing on bones and bully sticks. According to his foster mom, Hotrod is a champion high jumper, even able to jump over baby gates! Hotrod is house-trained, great with dogs and cats, and walks well on a leash. He is crate-trained and will sleep in a crate; however, he prefers to be near his people or with the other pugs in his foster home. At night, he goes to bed with his foster pug siblings, sleeping soundly from 10pm to 7am. Hotrod has medication for back pain; although his foster mom hasn’t seen his back bother him, a scan at the veterinary clinic revealed he may have back pain. Due to his jumping abilities, Hotrod’s ideal home will have a tall, fenced yard with at least one other friendly, canine playmate, or if he will be solo, have at least one person home most of the time to play and help him get plenty of exercise. If you are looking for a happy-go-lucky, social butterfly, Hotrod might be for you! Apply at dfwpugs.com. * All of our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Story
fter spending most of her life outside in Mexico and having her medical needs neglected, five-year-old Harper is now showing her cuddly, affectionate, and silly side! Her former medical issues, including pelvic fractures and a hernia, have now healed and she is enjoying a more active lifestyle. Harper’s favorite activities include playing with her blankets and bedding, snuggling with her stuffed elephant, following her foster mom and foster pug siblings around the house, running and jumping, chasing small wildlife in the yard, going for walks, and sleeping in bed with her foster mom at night. She is making great progress with her housetraining and crate training. With her challenging former life in mind, Harper’s forever family will provide her with love, care, and reassurance, help her build her confidence, and understand that she gets skittish around loud noises. Having another friendly and confident dog in the home may help her to come out of her shell and adapt to her new life. Story
Seven-year-old Peggy is outgoing, energetic, confident, and a total boss babe. Despite being blind, she has no problem with taking charge and making her opinions known! Peggy navigates her foster home with ease and enjoys spending time with people, other dogs, and cats. Her favorite activities include following her people around the house, playing and cuddling with other dogs, chasing balls, chewing on toys, and going for walks. When it’s time to recharge, she snoozes soundly in her crate and snores loudly. She is housetrained, can use a doggie door, and eats her meals politely. Peggy requires daily eye drops to keep her peepers feeling fresh. Her ideal forever family will provide her with plenty of companionship from people and other dogs, and create a safe environment with her visual impairment in mind. If you’re inspired by bold, fearless, loving, and loyal ladies, Peggy might be your perfect match! Story
Seven-year-old Burton is a social and affectionate boy who loves meeting new people and dogs! A go-with-the-flow kind of guy, Burton has a happy disposition and enjoys simple pleasures including chewing on toys and bones, going for walks, and showing off his cuddling skills. He is a fast learner and is mastering new commands and skills in his foster home. Burton is making good progress with his house training and hasn’t had any accidents since his first day in foster care. His foster believes his success is thanks to being on a consistent schedule. He is crate trained and snoozes soundly in his crate through the night. Burton’s ideal forever family will provide him with plenty of snuggles and opportunities to socialize. In return, they’ll enjoy the company of “the sweetest, goofiest boy looking for love,” according to his foster mom. Story
Three-year old Mayes is a silly, easy-going fawn pug who loves nothing more than being near his people. A true Velcro pug, he’ll follow you from room to room and is happiest curled up by your side. Mayes is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. At mealtime, he gets so excited he does a little “food dance” and would benefit from a slow feeder bowl. He enjoys bones, strolls in the park, and even showed off his adventurous side by leaping into the lake for a swim (life jacket on, of course!). Mayes does well with dogs, cats, and children, and would be happy as either an only pug or with furry friends. Looking for a loyal, easygoing companion? Mayes is your guy! ****** All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. Story
Two-year-old Love is a tiny but mighty fawn pug with a big personality packed into her little frame. She is a classic Velcro pug who wants to always be right by your side, and this girl’s not kidding (you’ll never go to the bathroom only again). Still very much a puppy at heart, Love adores chew sticks, soft toys, and a good game of tug-of-war. She is crate-trained, improving quickly with house training, and does best when fed separately in a slow feeder bowl since she gets very excited about mealtime. Love enjoys playing with other dogs but has an alpha personality, so she’d be happiest as an only dog or with easygoing canine companions who don’t mind letting her be in charge. Because she is still learning that hands aren’t toys, a home with adults or older kids would be best. If you’re looking for a spunky, affectionate sidekick, Love is ready to live up to her name! ****** All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Story
Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       Meet Beauregard (aka Beau) – A True Survivor in Search of a Second Chance Beauregard, lovingly known as Beau, is a 2-year-old English Bulldog 55 pounds with a heart as big as his adorable jowls. Beau’s journey hasn’t been easy—he was used for breeding and cruelly discarded once he was no longer 'useful.' He was found abandoned outside an apartment building in North Texas, in heartbreaking condition. When he came into our care, Beau was suffering from severe skin infections, painful ear infections, and damage to his only remaining eye—his other eye had already been removed. But Beau is a fighter. With lots of love, veterinary care, and time, he’s now healed and ready for his fresh start. Beau has limited vision in his remaining eye, but don’t let that fool you—he gets around just fine and doesn’t let it slow him down. He can hear well and absolutely adores people. His favorite things? Belly rubs, gentle attention, and simply being near his humans.  Due to the fact that Beau was never socialized as a puppy, he is dog reactive and will need to be an only dog.   This sweet boy is looking for an angel—a foster or adopter—who will give him the love and security he’s always deserved. Beau has never known what it’s like to be part of a real family… Could you be the one to show him? Please help us find Beau the forever home he needs.
