She walks beautifully on the leash and is a pleasure to take out—calm, attentive, and easygoing. While walking, she showed no reactivity to other dogs and didn’t even mind the squirrels passing by. Meet Max! He is a 1 yr old neutered male German Pinscher/Doberman Pinscher that weighs 66lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/14 as an owner surrender. Reason given was he had too many animals, and Max was a big pup. He has been very well cared for, clean soft fur, and may be housetrained. He is an extremely handsome boy, and always has a smile on his face. Despite being left at the shelter, he has an upbeat, happy go lucky personality. And such a silly playful side too. He found a stuffed toy and he threw it up in the air and bounced around the shelter yard. He walks well on a leash and takes treats gently. On occasion he does get excited and will try to jump, yet he can be quickly redirected with the sit command. Very smart pup! He hopes he can find a loving family with a secured yard, take him for walks and enrichment, shower him with plenty of stuffed toys and be close and cuddly with his human companions inside on his own dog bed. Tho he had no reaction to other dogs barking at him, we do ask if there is another dog in the home please ask the shelter for a dog test. Come meet this wonderful boy!!
