Story
Waiting for fur-ever home for 1 year Hi there, my name is Octavia, a spayed female, 2 year old, Rottweiler/Staffie mix that currently weighs about 80lbs. I'm an affectionate young lady that loves to love. I love belly rubs and going on walks! I'm an excellent kisser and cuddler too! I do my very best not to jump up on people to say hello but sometimes I forget then I remember again, and it ends up being more of a bunny hop. I'm a really smart girl that already knows 'watch me', 'sit', 'down' and of course the best game known to dog kind... Fetch! I really love being around people, I have been called a lovebug, and would be a wonderful constant companion for anyone looking for an affectionate but very energetic new friend. Let's go on adventurous hikes and explore the great, wide world together! I sometimes get overwhelmed since I'm still getting used new things, but with your gentle guidance, I can overcome anything! I can't wait to meet the whole household including any resident dogs before going home. For more information, just ask Customer Service about Octavia ID# A953428 I recently went on a fieldtrip with one of my PHS Volunteer friends! Here's how I did: I took Octavia on an offsite adventure today! I picked her up in the morning and she greeted me with one of her signature bear hugs. Octavia happily got into my car and was calm in the back seat the whole way to my house. We started the adventure by taking a walk in the neighborhood. Octavia is very easy to walk - loose leash the entire way. Once done with our walk, I brought her to my house. She was excited to be in the house and started checking the place out. She happily greeted my husband - this was their first meeting. Then she headed for the outdoors where she thoroughly enjoyed her signature slide on the grass move. She enjoyed coming in and out during our outing and took herself to the backyard to take care of her business. We also ate lunch in front of Octavia and she was polite the entire time. Of course she tried to melt us with her beautiful puppy eyes, but she did not beg for food. During our entire outing, Octavia was very mindful of her manners - she came when called, sat when asked and gave us lots of affection. She thinks she is a lap dog and literally sat on my lap for affection. We ended the day with another walk. We passed barking dogs, an off leash dog, and a gardener with a blower, all with no fuss of any kind from our girl. She is a sweet and lovable girl! I uploaded videos and pics of our day.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Meet Orso – Mr. Easy Peasy, He is a big-hearted, low-maintenance cuddle buddy looking for a low-key, chill home. 📍 Stats at a Glance: ✔️ Age: ~6 years old ✔️ Breed Mix: Rottie/Staffie/Pittie/Boxer blend ✔️ Size: 105 lbs ✔️ Energy Level: Low – a couple of zoomies or a short stroll, and he’s done for the day ✔️ House Training: A+ – totally reliable ✔️ Personality: Friendly and affectionate ✔️ Health: Neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped Orso’s journey hasn’t been easy—he found himself surrendered to the shelter on Christmas Day. While we don’t know his full past, he appears to have been loved (a little too much in the food department) - he came in obese and limping but PACC has taken care of both of those issues. He’s a gentle, loving soul who craves companionship, leans in for affection, and thrives on belly rubs. 💛 The Ideal Home for Oscar: 🏡 A calm, relaxed household looking for a teddy-bear to brighten the mood and lift your spirits 🐕 Orso is unpredicatable with dogs hence he needs to be the one and only center of attention 🐱 No cats—we’re unsure of his history with our feline friends and want to be respectful of everyone's time 🚸 Kids 10+ — because kids take time, dogs take time and families with little ones rarely have time for both Orso is one of the easiest dogs we've come across, in the right setting. His needs are clear and simple - a house with a fenced in back yard, and the occasional short sniff walk. He loves company but has zero separation anxiety and no destruction. Impeccable house manners. A retired couple who like to hang out at home and would love some company would be ideal. He's a simple guy, with simple needs!

Story
Goulash is a tender-hearted Rottie mix with an extra gooey center. At only 1-year old, Goulash is a bit nervous in the shelter and meeting new people but blossoms with his pal Schnitzel or another calm canine companion and a slow intro with lots of yummy treats. Once he feels safe, he melts into a wriggly, tail slapping goof who loves chasing balls (he is all paws!) and soaking up affection from his trusted humans. He is dog social and would love canine friends who are calm co-existers to help him learn about navigating the world as a good canine citizen. Due to his fear and sensitivity around handling, Goulash would do best in a home without young kids and with people who can give him the time and space to open up. If you're patient, kind, and ready to let a nervous pup blossom at his pace, Goulash is ready to meet you! Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 65.1 Age: 1yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
Jonesy is young adult, 84-pound Rottweiler mix. Jonesy is a medium energy guy who knows how to enjoy the slower things in life, but also enjoys long waks. Jonesy is a pleasure to walk on leash. He loves to use his nose and goes on regular sniffaris. Jonesy is extremely food motivated and has proven himself a good candidate for further training. He will need an experienced home committed to further training. Jonesy would do best in an adult-only home. Ideally the person who adopts Jonesy would have experience with Rottweilers or done some research into the breed. Jonesy is comfortable around other dogs with the right match, but would be equally happy as a cherished solo companion.

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog L:1Barcelona – The Mild-mannered, Light-Footed Explorer Meet Barcelona, a 3-year-old, 54-pound Rottweiler mix with a graceful stride and a curious, adventurous spirit. She’s an easy, joyful companion who floats along on walks and brings a gentle sparkle to every outing. A dream on leash: Barcelona is light, nimble, and effortless to walk. Independent but affectionate: She enjoys a few moments of pets and will lean in for affection, then happily head back out to continue her sniffing adventures. Playful streak: She loves chasing the ball and will bring it back, though she’s just as content entertaining herself with it. Zoomie moments: Every now and then she breaks into a few light, happy zoomies, revealing her relaxed, playful side. Gentle treat taker: She’s a little selective about her snacks, but when she finds a favorite, she takes them very politely. Barcelona would thrive with a well-matched dog or as a solo dog with social canine friends.February 2, 2026, 5:29 pm
