Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereReesy is a calm, confident girl who’s taking the world at her own pace. This 1-year-old Rottweiler mix has an independent streak and a quiet curiosity about her surroundings. She’s easy to leash and walk, and handled her shelter intake like a pro—cool, collected, and cooperative. Reesy hasn’t revealed her full personality just yet—she’s still settling in—but she’s already shown that she’s observant, composed, and ready to connect when she feels comfortable. She’d likely do best as a solo pup or with a dog who respects her boundaries. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, independent companion who marches to the beat of her own drum, Reesy might just be your match.April 18, 2025, 2:36 pm

Story
Raven has been living in a wonderful foster home, that has helped us learn more about her. Here's an update from her foster family: This is a WONDERFUL dog! She has an amazing temperament. She is good in the car. She LOVES people!! She is working on her separation anxiety, and as she's settled into our home, she's beginning to trust and realizing that her people come back. She didn’t know any basic commands, but true to the breed she is very food motivated and smart. She has learned sit and (lie) down, again in just a couple days. She is leash trained and does not pull. She is a people person. She just wants her own person to love. Whoever gets this girl is so lucky!! They will get a best friend in no time!

Story
Hi there, my name is Octavia, a spayed 1 and a half year old, Rottweiler/Staffie mix that currently weighs about 60lbs. I'm an affectionate young lady that loves to love. I do my very best not to jump up on people to say hello but sometimes I forget then I remember again, and it ends up being more of a bunny hop. I'm a really smart girl that already knows 'watch me', 'sit', 'down' and of course the best game known to dog kind... Fetch! I really love being around people, I have been called a lovebug and would be a wonderful constant companion for anyone looking for an affectionate but very energetic new friend. I sometimes get overwhelmed since I'm still getting used new things. I would love to go to a home with older, dog-savvy kids. I can't wait to meet the whole household including any resident dogs before going home. Story
We welcomed Macy on the September of 2016. She was still a puppy (1-2 months old) when we had her. She is very sweet, smart and obedient dog. All her preventative care and vaccines was given when she was a puppy. Her Vet was Banfield Hospital and received a whole year of preventative care. Macy knows some tricks like shaking hands, rolling, waiting for food and sitting. Macy loves treats and foods. She does loves toys and taking a nap. Very queit, barely bark. Macy is very socialized to people, we used to bring her to dog parks, family party, beach, and walks around the neighborhood without leash. Macy would be a great family dog for your family. Macy has a sister German shepherd that she grew up with. They love each other. If you would like to know more about Macy please sent me a message.

Story
Bandit is a sweet senior who wants nothing more than your love. He is the perfect combination of sweet and shy that makes your heart melt. While his pictures make him look big, he is actually a pocket sized rottweiler mix at about 55 pounds. He loves his trusted humans unconditionally and wants to shadow you whenever he can. Bandit is guaranteed to add lots of love, kisses and cuddles to your life. Where there is warmth you will find Bandit; warmth from the sun, from a heater, from a fur friend or from a human. He sometimes thinks he’s a lap dog and will plop himself on your lap for a nap, taking comfort in being with his human. Check out Bandit's video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwlJxEafkJcZ23qSb8i_8EPM He loves to play with his foster sister and sometimes looks quite goofy, which just adds to his charming personality. He is crate-trained, fully house-trained and walks well on a leash. He is highly treat motivated and is learning in foster care to do things like sit, lay down, stay, be a gentleman, and wait. Bandit has lived with small dogs, dogs his size, adult men, and adult women and has done well with all. He does take a moment to warm up to new people, sounds, and places. Bandit has a few health issues going on that sometimes impact his behavior. He has hip dysplasia, hyperthyroidism, arthritis, and early stage kidney disease. While 99% of the time Bandit is an absolute sweetheart, if any of his medication is off, if he overdoes his physical exercise, or if he is feeling anxious he may growl or snap. Because of this, Bandit should only be adopted by an experienced dog handler. Bandit is currently on thyro-tabs, joint supplements, and anti-anxiety medication. The cost of all of his medication is less than $100 per month. Bandit deserves his forever family. If that might be you, be sure to fill out an adoption application: https://betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application/ Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training in order to ensure a successful adoption.
