Story
Energetic, loving, and goofy 9-year-old Ella is super sweet but needs a family with an experienced dog owner. A little under 2ft tall and 40 lbs, she's sleek and muscular. Ella is fully house-trained and very patient with the three cats she lives with. She's never lived with kids but is generally chill with the children in the neighborhood.
She loves her toys, playing fetch, tug of war games, following you around the house, and of course, napping. Ella wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and is alert to someone coming to the door. She is highly food motivated, Ella picks up new tricks quickly but can be stubborn and easily distracted, so she needs lots of consistent positive reinforcement to maintain behavioral changes. She has many opinions and she will let you know about them.
Ella also plays well with other dogs, although sometimes she has issues with dogs larger than she is, but is good at de-escalating potential conflicts. Ella really loves company so if her new people are gone for a full work day she will need a canine companion. She's leash trained and always excited to jump in the car to visit the park. Ella is a great dog looking for a home where she is loved and cherished. Would you be the one for her?" Ella is now being fostered in Oakland, CA and her adoption fee is $275.00 Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great gal or for an application to adopt.

Born from an accidental litter to a devoted Boxer mama and a German Shepherd dad, Ring Toss and his siblings were raised in a home with children before being surrendered to the rescue so they could be properly vetted and matched with forever families.   From the moment he arrived, it was clear that Ring Toss is all about people. He’s the kind of puppy who wants to be wherever you are — your little shadow, your biggest fan, and your most enthusiastic companion.   Personality: A Velcro Pup with a Gentle Heart   Ring Toss is incredibly people-oriented. He follows his humans from room to room, always wanting to be part of the action. Even though he’s still learning his name and basic commands, he comes trotting right over whenever he hears your voice. That natural connection to people is something special — and it will make training and bonding a joy.   He has a calm, gentle manner overall, paired with the playful curiosity you’d expect from a puppy his age. When you pick him up, he melts into your arms, nestling his face into your neck like he was made for cuddling. He truly is a sweet, affectionate little boy who loves being close to his people.   Play Style & Social Skills   Ring Toss enjoys playing with other dogs and has shown lovely social manners. He currently lives with a Labrador who is always ready for fun, and they happily engage in games together. He has also learned to respect boundaries — when a grumpy Ridgeback lets him know playtime is over, Ring Toss listens and redirects his energy appropriately.   He’s beginning to discover the joy of toys, especially balls, and has already joined in on some friendly games of tug.   Training & Daily Life   Ring Toss is still very much a baby and learning the ropes, but he’s already showing signs of being a smart and eager student.   Food Motivation: Very high — he loves his meals and is highly motivated by treats, which makes training much easier. Potty Training: Not fully potty trained yet, but he’s in the learning phase and making progress. Crate Training: He’s not a fan of the kennel just yet, but he’s already improving from night one to night two, and his foster family expects continued progress with patience and routine.   Like most puppies, he will benefit from structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement as he grows.   Energy Level   Ring Toss strikes a lovely balance. He enjoys playtime and puppy fun, but he also has a naturally gentle, easygoing temperament. After a good round of play, he’s more than happy to settle in for snuggles or relax near his people.   He’s the kind of puppy who can keep up with an active household but also appreciates downtime and affection.   Why Ring Toss Will Be an Amazing Companion   Ring Toss has all the ingredients that make a dog truly special:   Deep love for people Gentle, affectionate nature Playful spirit Willingness to learn And a heart that just wants to belong   He was lovingly raised in a home environment from the start, so he’s already familiar with family life and human companionship. Now he’s ready for the next chapter — a forever home that will continue to guide him, teach him, and shower him with love.   If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly, people-focused puppy who will grow into a devoted best friend, Ring Toss may be your perfect match.April 6, 2026, 2:30 pm

Story
Grayson is a big, white hunk of love! He is the biggest love bug and cuddly boy you will ever meet. He is a licking machine and will try to give you kisses any chance he gets. And don’t be deceived by his size, all 73 lbs. of this affectionate boxer boy loves to cuddle and act like he’s small enough to be a lap dog. He will play ball, go for walks/hikes, jog with you, or play in the backyard. He’s also a chill boy in the house and will lay in his bed or cuddle with you in yours. He can be active outside and mellow inside, best of both worlds! He loves going on outings and gets excited to go for car rides. Grayson is the ultimate adventure buddy and is always up for anything! Grayson does get a little anxious when left alone and would prefer someone who can hangout with him most of the day and take him on fun adventures! He is very food motivated so you cannot leave him unattended in a room with food or he will find it (and eat it lol)! Grayson loves all people, including kids, and would be a great addition to any family. He can be jumpy when he gets excited, so dog savvy children would be better for him. Grayson does get along with some dogs but can be reactive with others. He is mostly reactive when on the leash but if out in a yard he is very playful and friendly with dogs. We have found that he is great with small dogs male or female! He is a very good playmate and friend to the resident small female dog that lives with him. He can be selective when it comes to bigger male dogs. Overall, Grayson could thrive in a home without other dogs, with small dogs, with dogs who are submissive, or as an only dog. If you think Grayson could be a good fit for you, please apply online to meet him. He is awaiting his forever home that will embrace his loving, goofy self!

Story
This beautiful girl is named Brandy. I am currently fostering her after a friend has fallen on hard times and can no longer care for her. I would keep her but I cannot financially care for two dogs and I also live in a small studio. She does need training on the leash and other commands. However, she is already potty trained and has had no issue in the home. Brandy is about a year old and still has a lot of energy but her goofy personality is the highlight of my day. I am looking for someone who can give her the life she deserves. She is not spayed yet but I have her appointment set for March 18th. The pet fee is to cover the cost of the spay.
