Like many thoughtful dogs, Paxton can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he does, his sweet and affectionate personality shines through. It doesn’t take long at all for him to relax and show just how loving and loyal he is. Paxton is off-leash trained using a remote collar and does beautifully with structure and guidance. He’s house trained, happily crates (his crate is his safe space), and settles well in the home. He’s the kind of dog who thrives on routine but also knows how to relax and just be near his people. One of Paxton’s favorite things? Other dogs. He absolutely loves canine companionship and would do best in a home with another friendly dog to play with and learn from. Miss Patsy’s bio from her stay at the shelter: Miss Patsy has been a hit for various activities off-site, from hikes to exploring agility centers to hanging out at a volunteer's house. Patsy was graded as an A+ cuddle buddy, and you'll be tempted to spend all day petting her luscious rolls. She absolutely belongs stretched out on a plush spot on the couch! Patsy is also a silly, spunky, and playful gal who is full of life and entertaining charm. She enjoys her walks and play time. Patsy has also been playfully social with other dogs and she has a fun time wiggling around the yards with a favorite toy (and showing off her buns!) She's a great sport for trying out all sorts of new activities and adventures, and her earnestly enthusiastic, clumsy approach to life is sure to bring a smile to your face. When she's excited, she can get a little jumpy and exuberant and with this and her size, she would do best in a home with older kids and adults. It doesn't take her too much activity before she's ready to settle back down and snuggle. Patsy is also a smarty who knows sit and down, and she listens well. This is the hardest decision we have had to make, as we love Ella very much, but unfortunately, cannot give her the attention or time she deserves. Ella is 9 years old, but acts much younger. She loves to lay around, but also has a lot of energy to run, play fetch, and loves being outside. She will follow you everywhere, will cuddle all day, and loves being around people. We have 3 other dogs, two small ones and a larger labradoodle that is bigger than Ella. Over a year ago Ella bit one of our smaller dogs, who recently just had puppies. We thought it was a hormone thing but Ella acts out towards her now. We have always kept them all together but since this time Ella has worn a muzzle every day and we keep her separated from the 2 small dogs. It breaks our heart, but for the safety of our small dogs she is in her cage a lot. We would love to find a family who will give her all the time, love and attention she deserves, as she truly is a sweet and loyal girl.
