FOSTER CARE! My adoption and training fees are 50% off!  Hi there World! My name is Sahara, I am a 2 year old bundle of fun. I am 54 lbs., spayed female husky with a rambunctious personality who's ready for a new adventure. There is nothing I love more than exploring. I would love to find someone with the same wanderlust as me so we can travel together! I get so excited sometimes that I forget to listen, its a husky thing. I would love to be a model citizen but I need help sprucing up my manners. FOSTER CARE! My adoption and training fees are 50% off!  Hi, I'm Thor! I'm a 1 year old, neutered male, Siberian Husky mix and I weigh 51 pounds. Have you ever wished for a dog with the personality of a cat? Well if you have, I'm your wish come true! I'm a sweet and playful boy but I like to take my time getting to know new people. I need to be sure I'm safe before I rub against you for pets. Once I'm super comfortable, I love to run zoomies, play with toys and even jump into water! I love going on adventures. I have good car manners and I'm getting better with my leash manners. I would be the perfect beach buddy! My ideal home would be with someone who is ready for a sweet, energetic pup and will take the time to help me overcome my shyness. As a scaredy cat, I would do best in quiet but active home. I promise to be your best buddy, once I get to know you.  Thor ID# A938350 Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by emailing behavior@phs-spca.org You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. Hello there, my name is Lucien! I'm a 1 year old, 40lbs., neutered male Siberian Husky. I'm an energetic, happy boy that just bounces with excitement and enthusiasm. I'm a playful, silly boy that loves to sing and chase everything! I would love to go home with an active family ready for a new adventure. As a jumpy, overly playful boy, I would do best in a home with older, dog savvy kids (10+) while I continue to work on my manners and impulse control. Before going home, I would love to meet all the members of the household as well as any resident dogs.  Lucien ID# A941386  Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Hello World! My name is Halle, I'm a 1 year old, 37lbs, spayed female Siberian Husky who is ready and rearing to go! I'm a playful bundle of energy that can't help but bring a smile to your face with my silly antics. As you can see from my beautiful picture I only have one eye but that doesn't stop me from leaping and bounding all about. I would love to go home with a family that has experience with Nordic breeds like me and is ready to help me with my overall training and socialization needs. For the moment I would do best as the only dog in the household until I have really worked on doggy meet and greets. I would love to meet the whole household before going home. If you are looking for a sweet, silly and outgoing girl like me; then stop on by and say hi!  Halle ID# A940619   Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Hello friends, I'm Alexa! I'm a 1 year old, 45lbs., spayed female Siberian Husky mix that is outgoing, energetic, and loves to meet new people and dogs. I'm quite smart and with a little help I am not afraid to try new things. Story
House and crate trained. Also did board and train for obedience for 2 weeks. Not aggressive. Hi there I have a female husky that I need to rehome for free! She is crate and potty trained. And did board and training for obedience for 2 weeks I urgently need help looking for a home for Lulu. I rescued her from the shelter because they were going to put her down. They only gave her 4 days until they deemed her unadoptable because of her anxiety. She is not aggressive at all. With love, patience, and a home she settles downs. She unfortunately cannot get along with my dog at all. I have 2 alphas under 1 roof. I just took her to buy her more time. Here’s the link to how she was when she first came to my house and how she has improved and how I train her: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zN-JTd2haURH87A3c2Gdpn3VyG2N8ob8/view?usp=drivesdk

Story
Star is fostered in CA. Star is great with dogs, but having energy can play excitedly and may not be a fit for puppies or elderly dogs. Star is a gorgeous girl with brains and energy to match! She might be blind, but that doesn’t slow her down at all. She navigates just fine and all the important things (food, sniffy walks, petting) don’t require sight. Star also had a couple of seizures, which the vet is calling idiopathic epilepsy since no other cause was found in testing, so she takes Keppra and that has prevented any more episodes. She has already learned a lot of words, including: focus, sit, step, and walking. Given her puppy energy level, she would love to be in a home with another dog her size or bigger and no small children or cats. Star *loves* meeting new people and dogs, exploring her environment, eating, walking, and snoozing in her crate or in the car. She is still learning to be the best dog, but she is a quick study. She needs a family experienced with Huskies or similar breeds who are willing to continue her education. If you are active and ready for an energetic beauty, contact us to learn more about Star! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Mojo’s an ADORABLE 4y/86lb Akita/Husky w/ 2 blue energetic eyes. The SOLE reason we must find him a simpler lifestyle is I bring him to work & he’s very “monogamous” w/ pettg. I work 1-on-1 as a therapist & it’s too much exposure for the Akita in Mojo, so loyal to the owner. My PTSD/cancer clients can pet him only briefly, unlike 8 years w/ my previous Akita-husky-malamute. For the last 3 of Mojo’s 5 mo.s, clients settle for RELISHing him at their feet -tho he sneaks in “quicks licks” to the hand upon greetg. So, Akita = no greetg other dogs, no dog parks. For me, no road trips w/ a friend w/ her dog. BUT, Mojo’s glorious parts made us postpone rehoming: with his owner, he is SUPREMELY affectionate. He walks to my bed & as I plant my feet on the ground & lean over, he nestles his nose in my chest at length. Mojo is FINE w/ friends on walks, at home, etc -as long as they pet briefly. I just need ZEEERO risk a dog will react w/ PTSD/cancer clients for obvious reasons. A gifted Akita!

Story
I'm a professional dog trainer who is currently fostering Asha, a dog I've been working with for a few months. Her previous owners had to give her up, they were elderly and had mobility issues so were unable to keep up with her energetic personality. Asha is about 5-6 years old but still has a very youthful personality. She loves to be outside and explore and always has a smile on her face when she's on a walk! She's been coexisting peacefully with my dogs but I've never seen her around cats. She is a bit slow to warm up to new people but she is very expressive and affectionate once she befriends you. She has a bit of sensitivity to being pet or handled too quickly/roughly in certain situations so a family with young children might not be the best match. I've been working with her everyday to desensitize her to that sort of thing and also warm up to strangers quicker and I'd be happy to continue working with her new owners post-adoption absolutely free of charge!
