Story
FOSTER CARE! Hi, my name is Rumble! I'm a sweet and playful 1 year and 9-month-old  husky mix who weighs about 60lbs. I am as silly as a husky and as cuddly as a pitbull, best of both worlds! Being a young husky, I have lots of energy, but I walk well on a leash, and I love playing with my foster brother (wrestling, chase, and tug-of-war are my favorites!). I'm super affectionate and cuddly—my foster says I'm a big teddy bear who constantly wags his tail. I've been practicing crate training, and I'm able to sleep there overnight as well as settle in my crate for short periods of time. I'm also getting the hang of potty training! I'll need an adopter committed to continuing my training, helping me practice my manners, and giving me lots of exercise. If you're interested in a happy, loving husky, ask Customer Service about Rumble ID# A956427 Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by emailing behavior@phs-spca.org You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You must be 18 or older to submit a profile.  Application: https://phs-spca.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdoptionProfiles_dog2023_fillin.pdf *The application may not work on mobile devices and iPads. Story
Hi there, my name is Ekko! I'm a neutered, 8-month-old, Husky/ Shepherd mix that currently weighs 48 lbs., but I'm still growing and could be between 85 to 105 lbs. as an adult. I'm a curious, playful boy that has tons of energy to burn and training skills to learn! I'm a rambunctious and fun loving guy that loves running around the play yard and going on adventures. Due to my eager and energetic personality, I would do best in a home with older teens or adults. I'm also hoping for a family that understands the needs of high energy pups like me and is prepared to continue my training. If you are looking for a new adventure buddy, then I'm the dog for you! For more information, just ask Customer Service about Ekko ID#A957066Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Three years old, neutered, and was a rescue; it takes some time for him to earn your trust; he is strong and sometimes pulls on leashes when walking. He has typical stubborn husky behavior; no cats or small animals, and no kids under 14, please, due to his mouthy and nipping behavior, and his bite is strong; sometimes you will bleed if you force him, so do not! Always ask for his permission before patting him, especially when he is lying down, which is the most vulnerable position for an outdoor animal like him during his earlier life when he was left outside 24/7 in the yard with a lack of socialization and human interaction. He can stay by himself for around 4 to 6 hours, but remember that Husky is a pack animal, which is not recommended for more than 2 hours. When leaving him alone, you need to lock him outside or create a safe zone for him inside the house; just like most huskies, they will start to be destructive and chew when bored. Generally, after three years old, they will begin to calm down. He was never crate trained, rides decent in the car, but makes lots of exciting noise! Trial adoption is recommended; feel free to see if he fits your family, I need to find him a good home, so I do not mind taking him back if things do not go well with the adoption.

Meet Husky Litter_Alex_Courtesy Post Please note: This is a courtesy post. SVAR is supporting the foster's efforts to find homes. This will be a private adoption. Please submit an application, we will put you in touch with the foster directly. Meet Alex! Born in mid-Nov, this little cutie is as lovable as his name suggests. He and his siblings—who we suspect are husky mixes—were abandoned at a shelter near Apple Valley but were lucky enough to be rescued by a good Samaritan. Now, they've made their way to the Bay Area, where we're helping them find families who will love them forever! Alex is a fun-loving, affectionate pup who’s always up for an adventure. Like any husky, he’s smart, energetic, and a little mischievous—in the best way! He loves to play, explore, and make new friends, whether they have two legs or four. When he’s not busy having fun, he’s happy to soak up attention and cuddle up for some love. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate pup with a big personality, Alex might just be your perfect match If you would like to meet Alex or his siblings, please fill out an application at https://svanimalrescue.org/
