Hi, my name is Jackie. I am from Georgia. Meet Jackie - a wonderfully clumsy, moderate-energy young pup with bulldog snores and boxer antics (because of course she’s literally made of those two breeds). She’ll do a few joyful zoomie laps around the house and then immediately take a dramatic nap like she just ran a 5k. Jackie is fully potty-trained and sleeps peacefully through the night in her own bed. She knows sit, takes treats gently, and absolutely loves balls. She can be a little squirmy and unsure at first, but once she warms up, she melts right into you like butter in a hot pan. She may benefit from having a confident dog sibling to learn from, but it’s not required—she can thrive solo, too. Because she’s sensitive to sudden movement and startle responses, Jackie would do best in a home with older kids only. She’ll really blossom with gentle reassurance, structure, and routine. Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Amazing 1 year dog, very active and playful. Has gone through obedience training and does very well commands with e-collar. Love this little guy so much but doesn’t get along with our other dog. Looking to find a wonderful home that give him lots of walks, pets, and attention. Have kennel and toys to send with him.
