NAME: JONATHAN CLEMENS LITTER: JONATHAN is part of the ALIEN litter AGE/GENDER: Baby (born 10/31/2022), Male BREED: PIBBLE (MANY PUPPIES IN RESCUE DO NOT HAVE PARENTS SO THEIR BREED IS UNKNOWN) TEMPERAMENT: Charming, smart, and snuggly! ESTIMATED ADULT WEIGHT: 50 lbs HOUSE TRAINING: Almost there! He is a baby so he'll need a consistent schedule with multiple opportunities daily to go outside while he works on it. Puppies should not be considered reliable in regard to housetraining until 6-12 months of age. They're a lot like toddlers, who require diapers! CRATE TRAINING: Good, he's young and trainable! He is happy to be in his crate at night. OTHER DOGS: Good! He will need continued socialization, like all puppies! CATS: Good! Continued socialization will be important! CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 HEALTH: JONATHAN is healthy! Prior to adoption, puppies will be altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Puppies are given vaccination boosters in our care; however, adoptive families will be responsible for the remaining vaccinations that puppies need. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find him a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Jonathan is a snuggle bug and loves to play with the resident dog in his foster home. He will wrestle and do zoomies for hours on end, and then is content to snuggle up on the couch or bed. He will follow you around the house and curl up at your feet when you sit down. He's almost there with house training and has learned to paw at the door when he wants to go out - whether that's to actually go potty, or just to play! He is making great progress with leash training and has learned "sit" just by watching the resident dogs in the foste home - smart boy! Jonathan is an affectionate boy, with both dogs and humans. He recently met children and was a bit unsure about them, but he enjoyed when they were quieter and approached him calmly. He's been in the car and is content to be in his crate or in his dog seatbelt. JONATHAN is a puppy so he's playful and has a lot of puppy energy! He is super cute and fun, but a lot of work. His forever family should be committed to lots of training - obedience, housetraining, and socialization. This will ensure that JONATHAN grows into a confident, well behaved adult! Puppies' personalities are dependent on their environment, and the structure and training they are given, in addition to socialization. Their personalities continue to grow and be shaped by their new adoptive families. Puppy daycare and socialization classes or puppy kindergarten are highly recommended for their personal development. He will more than reward you for all your hard work with lots of love, loyalty, and laughs. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs. Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue.
