Story
Zara 8 yo female slow intro to other dogs, fearful fostered in Everett, WA Hi I’m Zara! I came to the PNW all the way from Southern California. I was a little timid when I first came into rescue, but I have received a lot of love and patience from my foster family that has helped me settle in and feel safe. I am very affectionate and am eager to please. I will do most anything such as going in my crate for a good treat. I don’t enjoy being home alone for long periods so if I can go with you, I love car rides, otherwise a family that is home most of the time would be best for me. I do well with other dogs that are my size, so a home with a buddy might be nice. I don’t enjoy small dogs or other small animals. Story
Missy 2 yo female Older Kids Only (12 and up) Not Cat Friendly Dog Friendly Needs Dog Companion Fostered in Tacoma, WA My name is Missy and I'm about 2 years old. I was found all alone and very hungry. Some nice people saved me and took me to a shelter. One day a lady picked me up and helped me get to my foster family in Tacoma. I was really skinny (my foster family calls me Skinny Minnie) and I have worked very hard to gain weight. My favorite words are "hungry" and "eat." I have a bit of stranger danger, but with patience and love I come around pretty quickly. Now I feel much better and I really like my family. I have a (dog) foster sister and a brother too. They help teach me manners and let me know I am safe. I'm learning how to play with toys and take walks on a leash. I LOVE to chase my ball around the yard. Squeaky toys are also my favorite. Did someone say zoomies? I'm the fastest pup you'll ever see! Car rides are so much fun. I always wear my seat belt and like to look out the window. Cuddles and belly rubs are the best! I know if my unicorn blankie is on the couch it's time to snuggle my hoomans. My foster mom thinks that if I was allowed on the bed I would sleep right on the pillow and steal all the blankets. She's right! I always want to be with my people but sometimes they have to leave me at home. That's ok though because when I hear "load up" I walk nicely into my crate and wait for my treat. I know they'll be back soon and then I'll get ANOTHER treat! If you want a cuddly, smart, super-zooming pup you should adopt me! I'm waiting for you! https://www.nwboxerrescue.org/adoption-form If you would like to adopt her, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this pretty girl, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue May 7, 2024, 2:27 am

Story
King 2 YO 85 Pounds Dog & Kid Friendly Crate & Leash Trained Fostered in Gig Harbor, WA Hi, I'm King! Don’t all kings have gold? Well, I do, I have Golden Retriever to enhance my good looks. I am very soft, with a long tail, and your typical Boxer face. I love going on walks and am amazing on my leash, I also love to go on car rides and hang my head out the window. Right now, I live with my foster brother and we love to do zoomies in the yard and race, I always try to beat him, so far, I am the reigning champion. A buddy to play with in my new home would be great for me. I was hungry when I came into rescue from California, so I am learning that from now on I will be getting meals and treats every day and don’t have to worry about sharing my food. A slow feeder has really helped me savor every bite. I do well with kids that are respectful after I do my research and I sleep peacefully in my crate whenever needed. My foster family says any family would be lucky to have me. Story
Johnny 5 MO Male 42 Pounds Cat, Livestock & Chicken Friendly Crate & Leash Trained Fostered in Mcminnville, OR Hi, I’m Johnny! I recently made my way here from California with my mom and siblings. I am learning the ropes on a farm with my foster family and I have been learning a lot. I enjoy and am respectful to the livestock and chickens I have met, and love playing with the cats.  I have been very easy to train and will do anything for treats. I can sit, lay down, come, and shake, I am working on stay, and sit by the door to let you know when I need to go out. My paws get muddy when I play in this WA weather, so I have learned to sit very nice and get my paws wiped off, or when my nails need to be trimmed.  Despite being a puppy that loves to chase sticks and balls, I am a sweet mellow boy that also loves attention and snuggling. I haven’t mastered fetch yet, but we are working on it. If you are looking for a fun loving, smart, well trained, playful boy, I would love to meet you. I am quiet, sweet, and petite. I enjoy playing with my sisters, jumping and playing until I am all tuckered out, then I play some more.  I am very food motivated so that makes training easy for me. Story
Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles in his journey. Imagine finding him at an intersection, abandoned and scared, anxiously waiting for his owners to return. It breaks your heart, doesn't it? But don't worry, this story has a happy ending. Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! Like many of our Tx dogs he is being treated for heartworms. NOTHING to worry about as this is very common here.  We will provide the medication to continue his treatment.   If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jack Teller is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy! But here's the best part - this gentle soul is a hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered by the perfect forever family. We believe that every dog deserves a loving home, and Jack Teller is no exception. That's why we make regular trips to the Pacific Northwest, including a special stop in Bellingham, WA, just for our Canadian friends. If you're interested in adopting Jack Teller or want to find out more about him, head over to www.springbranchrescue.org. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this incredible pup into your life. Trust us, it'll be a decision you won't regret. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##1714321##
