Story
Felix is a beautiful red aussie, approximately 7 to 10 years old. We are helping a veterinary find a home for Felix and his companion Minnie. Felix is aged at 7-10 years old, he is neutered and is more stoic and chill than Minnie, but he gets bouts of the zoomies that are hilarious to witness. Felix is stiff and dominant when meeting other dogs. He is not outright aggressive, by any means, but if a dog challenges him he will respond. Felix is quick to correct Minnie when she is over the top with him, but he is fair and quick in his corrections. Felix knows basic commands as well as a trick or two and loves to show off for treats! Felix is also slightly protective of his food and water -- we believe that is because he is diabetic. Felix is a controlled diabetic and has done VERY well on his insulin. This is a lifelong health issue and he will have to remain on insulin for life. Felix is crate trained and doesn't like to mess in his kennel. He has the walking schedule down and will let us know if we're late. Both dogs were found off highway I-40, just outside of Amarillo Texas. We have done everything possible to find their owners, with no luck, so now they are looking for a new home. I believe Minnie and Felix need to find a home together, preferably with no other dogs, or a very submissive female. We have no idea how they are around kids as this is a vet clinic, but they are both herding breeds and showcase most of the traits. Neither dog has EVER been mouthy towards staff or visitors. Mini is friendly with all people and has done well with controlled meets of other dogs. She did jump at one of our clinic cats, but after the cat slapped her, she decided that avoiding them all was the best course. Minnie is crate trained as she waits quietly until she has to use the bathroom and then she will let us know. Minnie does well on the leash and knows several basic commands. She LOVES her big brother Felix and is a prime example of the Australian Shepherd Breed, in her mannerisms, energy level and desire to be with people.  PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO SEE MORE PICS AND VIDEOS https://www.circle2rescue.com/available-pets/ If you would like to adopt, please complete an application  at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $350 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip. Story
Pretty as can be with a soft, thoughtful presence — say hello to Nita! New experiences still sparkle with a bit of mystery for this bright young girl: fresh sounds, unfamiliar paths, new people and pups. She prefers to take a moment to observe first, but she is curious and warms up quickly when she can approach on her own terms. Once she decides you’re part of her circle, her tail loosens into a happy rhythm and her trust unfurls in a lovely, steady way. Nita gains confidence from other dogs, so she’ll thrive in a home with a canine companion. She’s already nailed the essentials — easy leash walking, excellent house manners, knows how to use a door, and the cozy art of being a beloved family member. She’s smart, eager, and picking up new skills and confidence with surprising speed. In addition to another friendly dog, Nita will need a securely fenced yard and a family who gives her just a bit more time to ease into new environments. She doesn’t need anything extraordinary — just the space and patience to settle in and discover how good life can be. Nita’s story began on an Indian Reservation. After her owner passed away, she and several other dogs were rescued and given a fresh start. Now Nita is ready for her own forever home. She’s estimated to be around 10 months old and roughly 35 pounds. Likely an Australian Shepherd / Australian Cattle Dog mix — and, as with many rez dogs, almost certainly a beautiful blend of many hardy, healthy breeds. PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO SEE MORE PICS AND VIDEOS https://www.circle2rescue.com/available-pets/ If you would like to adopt please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   ##2557877##

Story
Hi, I’m Cedar. I used to be a rez dog but now I’ve been given a second chance at a safe, fun life. I’ve already discovered that this new life is pretty wonderful! I’m a kind, gentle girl searching for my best friend—my human. I’ll be polite with others, but my heart and focus will always be on you. I don’t need constant attention from everyone we meet, just a person (or people) to call my own. I’m fine sharing a home with other dogs, but it’s not a requirement—what I truly hope for is a human who wants me as their companion, someone who will see me as their best friend too. I get along with my foster siblings, but I’ll be honest—sometimes my foster brother tries to bug me into playing, and it gets a little annoying. I do best with other dogs who like outdoor adventures and don’t need constant playtime at home. I’m sensitive and eager to please, so gentle guidance works best with me. If you use kind words and positive reinforcement—praise, happy voices, claps, and “good girl!”—I’ll shine. I pick things up quickly, and encouragement builds my confidence. Even a simple “off” or “down” is all I need to listen right away—I never want to disappoint you. I’d love to go on walks, hikes, and adventures, or just be part of your daily life. The more time I get to spend with you, the happier I’ll be. I’m quiet, smart, and ready to learn how to fit into this new lifestyle. I’ll roll over for belly rubs, stretch out for a massage, or curl up at your feet. I’m crate-trained and do well there, though I won’t need it for long. And yes, I’ve got my own little quirks—but only the kind that will make you smile. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle best friend who will love you with her whole heart, I’m right here waiting. Best guess on my age is about 1.5 years and I'm 35 to 40 pounds. Love, Cedar   **** Cedar is out of town until Dec 1st.  If you would like to adopt, please complete an application  at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $325 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   ##2486146##

Story
Swiftie is a medium-sized Aussie mix with a gentle heart and a soft, soulful presence. She may start out a bit shy, but give her a moment — and a calm, patient approach — and you’ll see her blossom into the sweetest, most loyal companion. This lovely girl gets along wonderfully with other dogs and seems to take comfort in their company. She’s still learning that people are safe, but she warms up quickly when you move slowly and let her come to you. Once she trusts you, she’ll stick close, listen beautifully, and soak up all the kindness you offer. Swiftie is fully potty-trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and has shown she can be trusted without a crate, both overnight and when left alone. She’s still figuring out stairs (they’re suspicious!) but she’s smart, eager to please, and learns fast with a little encouragement and cheerleading. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate dog who will reward your patience with quiet devotion, Swiftie might just be your perfect match. She’s ready for a home that’s loving, steady, and excited to help her continue growing in confidence. Give Swiftie the safe, happy life she deserves — she’s so ready to meet her person.  ##2599246##

Story
Hi, my name is Hattie and I’m a one-year-old Aussie mix! Even though I’m just a kid myself, I gave birth to six babies. Sadly, at that point my old humans decided they didn’t want me anymore. They dumped me and my two-day-old babies in a bucket and left us outside of the shelter. I was really scared, alone, and overwhelmed as a new mama. I went from being abused and neglected to a foster home in Colorado filled with so much love. I’ve been able to nurse and care for my pups while my foster mom and dad take care of me. Now that my babies are getting ready to find their forever homes, I am too! I would love a yard because I love being outside. I would also love humans who are patient and willing to help me learn the world, as I am still figuring things out. I enjoy an active family who will take me on lots of walks and adventures. I love all kids and other dogs, and I’m truly the sweetest girl with all the love to give. A note to adopters: I do struggle with separation anxiety, but I do really well when I have other dogs at home. Because of this, I can only go to a home with other dogs, as their companionship helps me feel safe and secure. I’ll need a family who can be patient and willing to help me work through my separation anxiety — but I promise I’m worth it. ##2592374##

Story
Meet Socks Socks is a gentle, affectionate soul who seems to be experiencing the world all over again — this time with love, safety, and comfort. She’s happiest curled up beside her people, taking long naps, and soaking up pets and praise. Once she feels safe, her goofy, playful side shines through, and she’ll reward you with the sweetest smiles. She’s also very smart and surprisingly adventurous! Her fosters took her on a hike this weekend and she did great — she loved the trails and passed other dogs calmly. She could be an awesome adventure buddy outside and the sweetest snuggler at home. She also recently met kids under the age of 3 and was wonderful with them — gentle, respectful, and totally at ease. Socks is fully potty trained and has never had an accident in her foster home. She sleeps soundly through the night in her crate with the door closed, even when she can’t see her fosters, as long as she knows they’re nearby. During the day, she’ll happily relax in her crate if her people are in the same room, and she also eats her meals there. Socks is still learning that being alone is okay. She can get a bit anxious if her people leave the house, especially for longer stretches — she may bark or get a little worked up. But when her humans are home, she settles beautifully and will even choose to hang out in her crate on her own. With consistency, patience, and practice, she’s already showing progress and will continue to improve. Because she bonds deeply, Socks will do best in a home with someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule. She just wants to feel secure and close to her people while she continues building confidence. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who’s equal parts hiking buddy and cuddle bug, Socks might be your perfect match. ##2550369##

Blue is an incredibly energetic and happy boy. He is a herding breed so he needs a very active lifestyle, OR he needs a job. Now we're not talking accounting or anything sedentary, he needs a job herding, or an adventure safety buddy job where he can hike with you and keep bears away. Or something. Regardless, he's a good boy and he was rehomed through no fault of his own, they just had to move...life happens. He's currently in a foster home and does well with all of their doggies! We are unsure about cats. He has also been socialized with children in his previous life.  If you are interested in meeting Blue, please fill out the application!
