Story
Name: Ted Breed: Toy Australian Shepherd Sex: Neutered Male Age: 1 year 6 months Weight: 21 lbs Needs Experienced Adopter, We are seeking a foster-to-adopt home for Ted, someone experienced with dogs who have fear-based reactivity and willing to continue working on his behavior with patience, structure, and training support through PawsCo. Good with dogs? Ted may do best as an only dog, as he can be protective of his food and may feel overwhelmed sharing space. Good with cats? No. Good with kids? No. Energy Level: Medium. Ted loves to romp around, explore the backyard, and play with toys. Once his play needs are met, he settles nicely and enjoys relaxing. Behavioral Needs: Ted spent most of his early life outdoors and is still learning how to be a comfortable indoor companion. He’s working on feeling safe, managing his stranger danger, and sharing resources. Because he struggles with being left alone, he will need a home where someone is home often or works from home. Ted is significantly undersocialized and requires very slow, structured introductions to new people and experiences. Continued professional training will be important for his success. About Ted: Ted is a silly little rascal with a big heart who thrives on fun, exploration, and connection. He’s looking for a patient, committed adopter who can help grow his confidence through gentle guidance, consistent training, and thoughtful socialization. Ted is easily frightened by loud noises, barking dogs, and unfamiliar people, but with love and support, he can learn that the world is safe. Despite his rocky start, he is ready to blossom and share his playful, curious, sweet puppy personality with the right person. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!

Story
Swiftie is a medium-sized Aussie mix with a gentle heart and a soft, soulful presence. She may start out a bit shy, but give her a moment — and a calm, patient approach — and you’ll see her blossom into the sweetest, most loyal companion. This lovely girl gets along wonderfully with other dogs and seems to take comfort in their company. She’s still learning that people are safe, but she warms up quickly when you move slowly and let her come to you. Once she trusts you, she’ll stick close, listen beautifully, and soak up all the kindness you offer. Swiftie is fully potty-trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and has shown she can be trusted without a crate, both overnight and when left alone. She’s still figuring out stairs (they’re suspicious!) but she’s smart, eager to please, and learns fast with a little encouragement and cheerleading. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate dog who will reward your patience with quiet devotion, Swiftie might just be your perfect match. She’s ready for a home that’s loving, steady, and excited to help her continue growing in confidence. Give Swiftie the safe, happy life she deserves — she’s so ready to meet her person.  ##2599246##

Story
I foster failed Han when he was about 7 months old. He has a lot of anxiety and his anxiety can turn into him being aggressive at times. He is good with me and very loyal to me. He will grow attached with new people over time, but it will take patience. He loves being outside and playing. He loves gathering up tennis balls. He is ok with our other dog, but it took time and patients to get him to tolerate another pet. I would not recommend any other pets or kids around him. Any fast movement like a kid running will trigger him. We had a baby 1 year ago and we were trying to make it work. We got him prescribed Prozac, which does help, but now the baby is walking and running around and he is growling at the baby and has tried biting him through our gate. I don’t want to keep him locked up all day every day. I want to find him a good home that he can enjoy his life. He is an 8 year old chubby dog that will play as much as you want or lay around all day with you and cuddle.
