Story
Hi, my name is Camilo. I am a local surrender. From the foster: Hi, I'm Camilo and I'd love to tell you a little bit about me! My absolute favorite thing to do is play fetch (except I bring it just a little bit away from you because you have to do some work too). I would much rather go somewhere new and sniff around than go on a walk (I tend to turn around after a block or so). I've got a ton of energy and love to run, jump, and play with my toys (but of course I don't touch anything I am not supposed to because I am a good boy), however, I also know when it is time to be an oversized lap dog and cuddle with you. I love food, but will only take it from someone I know/trust. If I am uncomfortable food is the last thing on my mind. I sleep with my foster mom but before I slept in a kennel and liked that too, I just much prefer the bed where I can snuggle under the blankets. I do great in a kennel for longer periods of time, but my foster family leaves me out and I don't try to get into anything. My kennel is still my safe place so I sometimes chill in there just because. I really love my people and once I trust you I will be your forever protector and best friend if you'll be mine. Camilo does have recurring allergies that will get pretty bad if you don't keep up with them, but they seem to be seasonal and are easily managed if you keep them under control. The biggest thing with Camilo is he has a lot of emotions and isn't easily trusting. He is such a sensitive dog and will mope or get scared quite often (i.e. he seems to think we are poisoning him if we let him try a new food). He doesn't do great with strangers, especially men. It takes a little while for him to warm up to them and when meeting you have to let him approach you rather than walking up to him. This has improved since we picked him up and if we are around it goes better than if we aren't. He really likes his people once he bonds with them and will want to be with you all the time and as much as possible. We think we would do best in a house with a yard as apartments have a lot of strangers, plus he loves to chase a ball and run around. Overall, he is super sweet and loving. He is well behaved and really smart and he does do really well with other dogs and outside in open spaces with anyone. He just needs someone willing to be his support system and that will work with him and his trust issues.

Story
Hi I'm Uno I was born in rescue to Momma Esther! From the foster: Uno is a very sweet cuddly puppy. He was born in rescue to Esther(40lbs.). He is working on potty training and doing well. He sleeps through the night in his own kennel and has no accidents. He gets along with all big and small dogs in our home and is wondering what our cat is. UPDATE: Uno is equal parts rambunctious puppy and sweet cuddle bug rolled into one handsome dude. His house training has been going well with very few accidents- he's on the cusp of mastery. He knows commands 'sit', 'shake' and 'lay down' and is very food motivated. He has enjoyed playing with our resident dog and would likely appreciate living in a home with other furry friends.

He's enjoys spending time outdoors, playing with toys and playing with his siblings. His favorite toy is a ball and is already catching on to a good game of fetch! He is almost completely potty trained and is kennel trained. He is currently working on leash walking and really seems to enjoy it! He's smart and already knows sit. I am Cyclone. I am from Arkansas. From his foster: Cyclone is an energetic, happy, playful puppy! He loves to be outside to explore, sniff, chase balls, or carry the best sticks he can find. He enjoys playing with toys and other dogs. He continues to work very hard on potty training with few accidents. Crate training is going well and he sleeps soundly through the night! He enjoys a good snuggle on your lap in the evenings to wind down his day. Cyclone learns quickly and his new tricks are to sit and wait for food, sit and shake his paw, and continues to work on mastering 'down'. He's very loved in his foster home and we are excited to find his forever family.

My name is Thunder. From his foster: Thunder is a big playful puppy without the high energy of most puppies. His favorite activities include hanging out with his siblings, playing with toys and most of all being outdoors! We have a big fenced in yard that he loves to explore, play and just lounge in the sunshine. He is almost completely potty trained and is kennel trained. He is working on leash walking and doing well, but seems to prefer shorter walks. Overall he is pretty laid-back and would be a great buddy to hang out with!

Story
If you are looking for a dog who will be your most loyal companion with striking good looks and the best puppy eyes ever ....you’ve found her!  Meet Jessica – your typical Australian Shepherd who has a zest for life! However, Jessica is not your average family dog.  Due to her high level of intelligence and energy she needs adequate physical and mental stimulation.  Although Aussie’s enjoy being outside, hours alone in the yard isn’t going to cut it for this girl.  This breed is always looking for a “job” to do:  puzzle games, dock diving, Frisbee, agility training, Treibball, or fly ball are a few activities Jessica would thrive in.  She would love to join you on adventures to the park, breweries, kids’ sporting events, family outings, camping, or hiking.  Even an active game of fetch or a great running session with another canine companion would give her the opportunity to get those zoomies out. Any variety of these activities on a daily basis is going to keep Jessica a happy pup! Jessica comes to you house and crate trained, walks well on a leash, is well-behaved during car rides, is not vocally reactive (although she may let out the occasional “awooo!” as she’s heading out the door for her morning potty break).   She is also command trained:  she knows "sit", "down", “off”, “all done” and more!  Cats are unknown, but she seems to have a low prey drive.   With all this talk about Jessica’s energy, she does have a quiet side to her.  She is a sensitive girl and will look to you for reassurance, if she’s feeling apprehensive.  She knows her bedtime and will cue you around 7:30 PM that she’s tired and ready….are you?  But no blankets at bedtime for Miss Jessica as she’s proven she can’t resist chewing on her binkies.  Oops!   Due to Jessica’s high energy needs, below is a wish list for her forever home: Must have experience with high-energy breeds or at a minimum have a deep understanding of dog behavior.  This goes beyond being a previous dog owner. Must have the ability to be the alpha in the dog/owner relationship.  Herding and high-energy dogs need someone who can offer appropriate redirection when necessary. It is important that her forever home understand her needs for daily mental enrichment and physical activity.  Jessica needs to be in an active household! (see above for examples of what an active household may look like for Jessica) Jessica tends to show her affection by making a beeline for ears and giving love nibbles (this is a work in progress - apparently her foster’s ears are very delicious), so at this time we would recommend a household with children over 11 years old.        ##1954343##

Story
Hello to my future family…you found me! My name is Popclaw, part of “The Boys” Litter at the Rescue Crew. My momma had us while a stray…outside in the cold up north. But, after a few days, we were transported to the Twin Cities had had a great setup for the start of our lives. I have five other siblings, most of them adopted. In the pictures, you can see my breed makeup as someone kindly donated a kit to our foster mom. I am the best mutty-mutt-mix! My foster mom calls me Poppy or Pop-Pop because I like to pop up on her lap any chance that I have.  I get along with other dogs well, although don’t just throw me in the dog pit and run! Some might call me an extravert because I just love any dog or person…especially kids! There are so many dogs in my foster home! A Lab, a Pittie and a Great Pyrenees (resident dogs). There is also a younger litter and mom, and I love to play with mom when she comes out of her whelping room! I get along with all the dogs here but have my favorites. As for kids, there are no kids in the house, but at events the kids flock to me (and I to the kids!)….I love the snuggles and the energy, and will always give love in return. I would do best in a home with kids to play with!!! As a puppy, I am still getting used to lots of things. We are working on kennel training, and I eat my meals and treats in my kennel…and because of that, I realize my kennel is a super awesome place. I sleep soundly and quietly in my kennel through the night. I’m always excited for food and foster mom says I am a great eater (not picky at all)! I also LOVE treats. My favorites are cold baby carrots, frozen chunks of watermelon, and sweet potato chips! Potty training is going super well! I have learned to ring the bell to potty outside, but sometimes I just ring it to go outside…I don’t get treats when I do that. While I have had some accidents inside, I am getting much better at going outside! I love toys, especially the squeaky or crinkly ones. But my ultimate favorite is finding a cozy spot near my person and relaxing. We have started some training and are working on impulse control. I am really good at being patient for food or treats by sitting nicely. Foster mom says I am super smart and will do anything for a treat (=easy to train!). I have learned to not bite/nip at the humans, and that I only get pets and love when I have “four on the floors” (not jumping…in progress!). Foster mom also says I have the recall of a champ because I know when I “come” I get treats!  But mostly, I am just being a puppy and having a good time. I also have not destroyed anything, and for that, foster mom is super proud! Are you the family for me? Maybe you have a kid who needs a dog? Or maybe you just want the ultimate cuddler (my whole litter are master cuddlers!). I always have the sweetest look with my big puppy eyes, and am always attentive to the human. Foster mom says I don’t photograph well, but am gorgeous in person…and my coloring is becoming a beautiful black and orange that sparkles in the sun! I would do great with any family, with or without kids, with or without other dogs. Fill out an app to meet me…you won’t be disappointed! ##1943952##

Story
Artemis is a sweet, 8 month old, 40ish lb., spayed female. She is working on crate training and potty training. No shared walls for this girl as she can be a little vocal. She’s good with other dogs, cats and human kiddos! A fenced in yard would be ideal, but certainly not required as long as she can get in some good daily walks. She is a little scared of the world outside, so she needs a patient foster willing to help her learn to feel comfortable and confident outside. Who can help this beautiful girl? We provide all supplies needed and fosters do get the first opportunity to adopt!     How to Become a Foster - THE RESCUE CREW ##2047909##
