Story
Cami is a fairly new member of The Pet Connection's team. She's around eight years old and is a very polite house guest as she already knows to do her business outside. She is such a sweet, shy girl who wants desperately to be loved. It's going to take her a while to trust people and she'd appreciate a quiet home where there aren't a bunch of visitors coming and going. She also prefers to be your one and only pooch, if you don't mind. She promises to love you to the moon and back, though! Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Cami. She's staying with us in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #adoptdontshop #socute #happy

Story
Abby girl has lost the only home she's ever known. Her mama went to assisted living and her dad could no longer care for her. We made a promise to them that we'd find their baby a new home. She was adopted as a puppy from a rescue in Oklahoma in 2016, which means she turns eight years old in 2024, March 2024, to be precise. Sweet girl has a lot of sugar on her face. Abby's still new to The Pet Connection and is adjusting to not having a home, but if you give her a just a bit to know you, you'll discover that Abby likes touch when she trusts you. She likes to play with her green rubber toy, too, and she gets loose and wiggly, and a little bit silly. She's a fan of hot dogs and chicken, and she likes to be fed said chicken while she lies on her bed like Roman royalty. You'll discover that Abby is a lovely girl who needs a home, that Abby is a sweet girl who needs you. Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information on Abby. She's in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #seniorsrule

Story
How could you say no to those puppy dog eyes?? Blondie and his best buddy Scruffie found themselves homeless when their caregiver became ill. They have been together since they were pups, and we would really like to keep them together. The are pretty low maintenance dogs, lower energy, and would be great for someone that wants snuggles instead high energy. They are in a foster home now where we have learned that they are good on the leash and get along with other dogs!! They have been vet checked and are good to go anytime. They really are a great little pair! Midwest Animal ResQ offers a 30-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pet's progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 30 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isn't a good fit, you may return the animal and receive a MARQ credit that can be used toward the adoption of another animal. Our biggest priority is finding the very best match for you, and Completing Families one Tail at a Time! All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays.

Story
This sweet, shy cattle dog is our Sheila. She is a one year old who was abandoned in the KCPP parking lot, with a bunch of puppies and a male. More than likely, the puppies were her babies. No more babies for Sheila though. This girl is ready to have a life of her own, not be used as a puppy breeding machine. She would love to have someone who will have patience, and take some time with her, to let come out of her shell. She has been through a lot in the past few months. As we find out more about this momma, we will update her profile, but if you love a working dog, Sheila could be a fit for you!Sheila comes spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Sheila is currently living in a foster home. If you would like to learn more about her or meet her, please email foster@kcpetproject.org.
