Story
Sweet dog who deserves a good home where she can be out in a yard to play. Unfortunately, my busy schedule does not allow her to do that while also in the process of moving. She needs to be in a home that can give her the proper time and attention. She is a rescue from Lubbock, TX which makes her a beautiful West Texas dog and she's tough like it! She loves pets and attention and will bring you so much joy with her clumsiness. She is a loving dog who deserves the opportunity to have the attention given to her as much as she will give to you! She is up to date on vaccines. She is registered at both the Flowery Branch and Gainesville animal clinics. She will come with her own crate, harness, and all the dog food that she has left.

Story
I got my pet from an accidental pregnancy. She is 1 years old and was born Dec 1st 2024. I’m looking for a new home with a loving energetic owner. Quinn is energetic, playful, very affectionate, and silly. She is crate trained and is potty trained as well. My mental health does not allow me to be as energetic as I would like to be for her and I do not have suitable living conditions for her at this moment. That is the reason why I have to re home her to give her the life she desperately deserves.

Story
Goose is a 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix. We received him from a friend who trains dogs. He knows the commands Sit, Stay, Wait, Down (lay down), Come, Off (get off furniture or people), and Go to Bed. He is crate trained, house broken, leash trained, and has been trained not to get on the couch or bed. He is a sweet friendly dog who loves activity and people. Goose needs a family with older children that can play and run around with him or a family that is very active and willing to take him along for the ride! He loves a great game of fetch and to go on runs or walks.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for Axel, giving you the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Axel is a 2.5-year-old Aussiedoodle weighing 57 pounds of sweet, affectionate goodness. This handsome boy loves being with his people, running freely in a big backyard, and always coming when called. He’s gentle taking treats and already knows sit and down, with a great understanding of wait at doorways and his kennel. Even without formal training, Axel is a fast learner and eager to please. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys going for walks (and likely a good run), and is working hard on polite greetings, making great progress every day. His previous owner shared that he is housebroken, which is a big bonus! Axel has done well meeting another dog at the shelter, and we’re continuing to test him with smaller dogs. Because he doesn’t quite realize how big he is, Axel would do best with older children who can appreciate his size and enthusiasm. Affectionate, smart, and ready for a loving home with structure and routine, Axel is truly a showstopper. Come meet this amazing boy! Axel currently weighs about 56lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 06/08/2025), and his adoption fee is $510. Axel has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Axel, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
I AM CURRENTLY IN FOSTER!Hi, I’m Orpheus — but my foster family calls me Opie.I’m a very sweet, good-natured boy who’s been through more than my heart should have had to handle. I’m fully housebroken, I absolutely love other dogs, and I’m learning — slowly but surely — that the world doesn’t have to be such a scary place.I am extremely fearful, and that fear is deeply imprinted from earlier experiences in my life. New people, unfamiliar environments, loud noises, and too much stimulation can be overwhelming for me. Building trust with me takes time, patience, and a calm presence. I don’t do well with being rushed, talked at, or “love-bombed” — for me, comfort comes from quiet energy, predictable routines, and respectful body language. When trust does begin to form, that’s where the magic happens. After two months in foster care, I’ve started seeking out affection on my own terms and have even begun snuggling on the couch with my foster mom. Those moments are incredibly special because they’re earned — and they mean everything.I would thrive in a home with space, including a dedicated area where I can feel safe and decompress. Having at least one confident, friendly dog in the home is very important for me — other dogs help me feel secure and act as a bridge between me and the human world.I’m not the kind of dog who will greet you at the door right away — but for the right person, willing to move at my pace and let trust grow naturally, I will be a deeply rewarding companion. If you believe in quiet progress, patience, and the beauty of watching a fearful dog learn to feel safe, I may be the one you’ve been waiting for.Currently, I am available for adoption. If you`re interested in adopting me, please fill out an application online or call the Humane Society of Forsyth County at 770-887-6480. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11-5 or Friday and Saturday 1-5. All of my love and kisses, Orpheus /(^.^)\",AVAILABLE"
