WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Rosa – the Sweetest Soul with the Coolest Eyes in Texas! Rosa is a 2-year-old, 42-lb Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix with a uniquely colored coat that makes her as beautiful outside as she is inside! She’s gentle, easygoing, and about as drama-free as they come. If dogs had a “Most Likely to Be Everyone’s Favorite” award, Rosa would win it paws down. This lovely girl gets along beautifully with just about everyone—people, dogs, kids, new situations—you name it. She’s calm, confident, and refreshingly mellow for an Aussie mix. Think less “whirling devilish herding machine” and more “professional couch companion with occasional zoomies.” And let’s talk about those eyes! Rosa has one stunning blue eye and one soulful brown eye. According to urban legend, that means she can see things in heaven and on earth at the same time. Pretty cool superpower, right? Basically, she’s part dog, part magical guardian angel. Rosa also comes fully loaded with excellent house manners: • Crate trained ✔ • Housebroken with a dog door ✔ • Walks beautifully on leash ✔ • Polite, well-behaved house guest ✔ • Expert at giving soft, grateful looks ✔ She enjoys relaxed strolls, cozy naps, and being near her people. She’s the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into your life like she’s always been there. Now, cats are a hard no, sorry cat lovers, she’s not a fan (she believes they are tiny, suspicious aliens), so a feline-free home is a must. But with dogs and humans? She’s an absolute dream. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, go-with-the-flow companion who will make every day brighter just by existing in it, Rosa is ready to be your girl. Apply today and let this two-toned-eyed sweetheart see straight into your heart 💙🤎🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌸🐾 Meet Patches — Nearly 9 Years of Pure, Gentle Devotion 🐾🌸 8 years old (Birthday 4/24/17) • ~30 lbs Patches is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the loudest in the room to be the most special. As she approaches her 9th birthday, she carries herself with the quiet confidence of a girl who knows exactly what she likes in life: A comfy couch. A warm lap (or at least a leg to lean on). And her person nearby. At around 30 pounds, Patches is the perfect “just right” size — big enough to feel substantial when she curls up beside you, small enough to fit perfectly tucked against your side. She is mostly a lap dog… or at least a “pressed firmly against your hip” dog. Personal space? Optional. Warmth and love? Required. She’s fully house trained, has lovely house manners, and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes. She’s been living in a home environment and fits right in like she’s always belonged there. Cats don’t bother her one bit — she’s far too dignified to get caught up in that drama. While she doesn’t spend her days bouncing around with toys or leading playgroups, that’s simply because Patches has mastered the art of peaceful companionship. She prefers quality cuddle time over chaos. She’s less “zoomies” and more “let’s sit together and solve the world’s problems.” Given her incredibly sweet and gentle nature, we believe she would do just fine with kind, respectful kiddos who understand that sometimes the best dogs are the calm, snuggly ones. Patches is at that beautiful stage of life where she’s past the puppy antics but still has so much love left to give. She gets excited when you come home, happily settles beside you on the couch, and simply wants to be near her person. No drama. No destruction. Just steady, loyal companionship. If you’re looking for: • A couch buddy • A lap warmer • A loyal shadow • A professional snuggler • A dog who believes every evening should end with cuddles Patches might just be your perfect match. She’s not asking for grand adventures or marathon hikes. She’s asking for love. For consistency. For a soft place to land for her golden years. And in return? She’ll give you the kind of quiet devotion that makes a house feel like home. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give Patches the cozy, love-filled forever she so deserves 💛🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌾🐾 Meet Emma — Ranch-Raised & Ready for Her Next Assignment! 🐾🌾 3 Years Old • ~70 lbs • Australian Shepherd / Border Collie Mix Emma is a 70-pound bundle of loyalty, brains, and heart — with a résumé that includes “Professional Goat Wrangler” and “Cattle Operations Manager.” This gorgeous 3-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix grew up on a ranch helping round up goats and cattle like a seasoned pro. She understands responsibility. She understands teamwork. She understands that somebody has to keep things moving in the right direction — and she is more than happy to volunteer. Through no fault of her own, Emma was surrendered in a small town and sat patiently at the pound for months. Just waiting. Watching other dogs leave. Hoping her turn would come. And we made sure it did — because a girl this special and with this much heart deserves more than a kennel and a concrete floor. Emma is incredibly sweet and walks beautifully on a leash. She’s attentive, smart, and very tuned in to her people. She would absolutely thrive on a ranch or property where she can help with chores, check fences, or supervise livestock. But if your “ranch” is more backyard than back forty? That’s okay too. She’ll happily help you: • Corralling wind blown leaves • Patrol for suspicious squirrels • Keep an eye on the kids • Inspect groceries as they’re brought in Now, since Emma was primarily a working ranch dog, we can’t say for certain how much indoor living she’s had or whether she’s fully housebroken. But here’s the thing about Emma — she is incredibly smart. If she needs to learn house rules, it won’t take long at all. Herding dogs don’t just learn fast… they practically pre-install the software themselves. Give her a little guidance and she’ll have it figured out in no time. Emma would love: • A job or daily purpose • Regular exercise and mental stimulation • A home that appreciates a working-minded dog • A family who values loyalty and intelligence She’s not just looking for a couch (though she won’t turn one down after a long day). She’s looking for connection. Purpose. A person or family to devote herself to. Emma has the heart of a worker and the soul of a loyal companion. She’s ready to trade the uncertainty of the past few months for stability, routine, and a forever home where she’s cherished. If you’re looking for a smart, steady, ranch-ready best friend who will work hard, love deeply, and maybe gently herd you toward the kitchen at dinner time, Emma is ready to clock in for life. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give this hardworking girl the future she’s been patiently waiting for 💛🐾

Story
Animal Information: Bernie and Bianca were born on 11/19/2025 and came to a Bakersfield, California shelter with their mom, dad, and littermates. The whole family caught a freedom ride to Washington, where our rescue partner reached out for help placing some of the puppies. Mom and Dad are beautiful, purebred Australian Shepherds with wonderful temperaments and engaging personalities. Bernie and Bianca are already showing the intelligence and drive typical of their breed. These pups will thrive in active homes, ideally with adopters who have herding breed experience (or a strong interest in learning) and a commitment to training, mental stimulation, and enrichment. With the right guidance, they’ll make incredible companions. Foster Profile:  Bernie is a bright and busy Australian Shepherd puppy who is quick to respond when called. He is smart and a bit of an escape artist. Bernie loves to play ball and he'll chase again and again.  After a good play he's content to settle down and chill. His potty training is still a work in progress. With about 50% of his business happening outdoors, he's right on track for his age, and it shows he’s trying. With positive, consistent training, he’ll continue to improve.  Bernie would thrive in an active home that enjoys playtime, mental stimulation, and helping a clever puppy grow into an amazing companion. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, heartworm test if indicated, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).  Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Forever Home Dog Rescue in Edmonds, WA. Arriving in foster care 01/28/26. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.February 5, 2026, 9:31 pm
