Story
Cybil is such a silly girl! She is a high energy, tiny 38lb, 18 mo old girl that would do best with someone that will run with her. Lots of long distance walking and hiking would also be ideal. She does still need more leash training but she’s very intelligent and learns quickly whatever it is you ask of her. She is extremely food motivated so she’s always excited to play training games. She is very affectionate so needs someone to cuddle with, too. Cybil can be a bit bossy when she meets other dogs so she should be the only animal in the home. Although she does like to run and play with neutral tempered, medium size dogs, so after a proper introduction, she could develop friendships with other familiar dogs. No kitties please. Cybil can be a little reluctant to engage with high energy children so kids must be over 14yrs old. She must have a 5ft or higher, securely fenced yard. She is crate and house trained, as long as she has frequent outside potty breaks. A doggy door would be perfect. A work from home or active retired person would be best for this darling girl!  Please email info@k9rr.org to meet Miss Cybil and include your phone numberApril 14, 2024, 11:03 am

Story
Hi, Alphy is my name,I you are looking for an adult dog with some personality then look no further. I am good with dogs if they are female. But no cats for me, please. I like to be active but in moderation. I have a limp from a previous injury, but it doesn’t stop me from loving my walks and even the occasional run. I can enjoy life to the fullest, especially with a loving family.I am okay with older kids, little kids are too loud for me I like to be quiet.I know all the basic commands but I do have a mind of my own so you will need to be patient with me as I get to know what you want from me. If you are looking for a loyal, loving companion, I am your guy.I guess if I had my way, I would love a laid-back family, who likes a slow walk, and who likes to go for car rides, especially to the beach. Oh and if I was the only dog that would be great too. If it sounds like we could get along then just fill in the application form and we can meet on a Zoom call. With love, Alphy To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Lincoln! He is a very high energy, active and sweet 2-year-old, 40 lb Australian Shepherd. He is a happy boy and loves to get attention from his people! He will do great with a family that understands herding dogs and their needs. He can be strong willed and is still working on basic obedience and will need a family that will continue his training. He is working on not jumping up and mouthing right now so he needs an adult only home or a home with kids over 14. He is super sweet, but he has a lot of happy and unfocused energy. He is very smart and will thrive with training. He would love to be in a home in a suburban or rural neighborhood with a securely fenced yard for him to run and play. He will do best in a home where someone is home much of the time. He likes other dogs but can play very rough with them and would rather spend time with his humans so for that reason we are looking for a home for him as an only dog or with another dog who is able to handle his rough play. He will need an adopter that will keep him physically and mentally active and would make a great jogging or adventure buddy. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Fury! He is a 9-year-old, 55 lb Blue Merle AKC registered Australian Shepherd who was surrendered to us as his owner could no longer care for him. Fury loves to be petted, pampered and groomed. He likes to play by himself with soccer balls and plushie toys, he tosses then around and chases them independently. He loves to lounge in the sunshine. Fury would like to find himself his very own retirement home where he can be an only dog with his own securely fenced yard to relax in during the day, and a cozy kennel at night. He would do best in a home where he can be the only pet. He walks well on a leash for the most part but can be leash reactive and he does not care for other male dogs or dogs who get in his face on leash. He will lunge at cars that pass by as his herding breed instinct takes over. For this reason, he would do best in a quiet suburban or rural neighborhood. He’s been gentle with the young child in his previous home under supervision but nips at the butts of anyone who runs next to him so it is recommended that he goes to an adult only home or with children over 12. When feeding time comes around, he acts as if he is going to be food aggressive/possessive by growling and sounding scary but is really just a marshmallow with no follow through. Fury is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $350.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Tacoma, WA Meet Ray! He is a 7 year old Miniature American Shepherd and weighs 25 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Ray is hostile with strangers, but is sweet once he has finally warmed up to you. He is good with cats! No kids or dogs, due to his reactivity! He needs seasonal allergy shots for his itchy paws. Ray nipped a neighbor around 1.5 years ago while on a leash. They were trying to do an introduction and the neighbor knew Ray was reactive, but was willing to meet him. The owner and her partner took him in after he nipped the partner’s brother’s baby. His fear reactivity causes him to lunge and snarl at strangers and dogs as they walk by. The owners have muzzled him and worked with a trainer, but it hasn’t helped completely. They are surrendering him because he needs a better environment and further training. If you think you can provide a great home for Ray, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Ray. Owner’s Contact Information: Ana Schmidt at (253) 203-4241 or anaschmidt1@hotmail.com.

Story
Meet Magellan! He had been living on the street for a few months when someone asked if we could take him in. He’s sooooo happy and bouncy! He weighs 51 pounds and is about a year old, still a baby with sparkling white teeth! He is GREAT with the other dogs in the yard and so he is able to run free with the front yard pack. He has a chill disposition and isn’t dominant with the other dogs. Believe it or not, sometimes street dogs can be more well adjusted than a dog that is owner surrendered! He’s probably even good with cats, we can always cat test any dog! Magellan loves to play! He would be a great addition to any home!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.April 13, 2024, 2:37 pm

HI - I'M ZOE! I'm a beautiful and shy 2-year-old female Border Collie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from a California shelter, where I was impounded as a stray. I am a shy and timid girl, but once I warm up to you I will be your best friend. I would do best with an active person or people who can take me for walks, hikes, beach outings and other adventures. I weigh only 43 lbs. Please email for an application.

MEET GIGI! Gigi is a sweet girl with an old soul who will steal your heart. She is a little over a year old and currently weighs about 40 lbs., and is in a foster home in the Greater Seattle area. She is a wonderful medium-size dog for an active person or people. Gigi is housetrained and crate-trained. She walks well on a leash and is calm on car rides and in the home. She is such a well behaved girl it boggles our mind how she ended up as a stray in an overcrowded California shelter, where no one came for her. Without question, Gigi will be your companion through thick and thin. She is loyal and intelligent, and her favorite thing is just to cuddle up with you on the couch. She sits well for treats. Gigi loves kids, most other dogs and would do best with a submissive dog. We do not know how she is with cats. If you would like to meet this amazing girl, please email for an application. Thank you.

Story
This is Scorpio. This adorable doggie is a very easy going dog.  He loves the outdoors and will be a perfect camping buddy for someone.  He is gets along with other dogs (slow introductions always).  He is crate and leash trained.  He loves his humans.  This boy is ok during car rides too.  He is ready to find his loving home.  Are you his human? Why adopt from Texas? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future. An opportunity to be loved and cared for by good and loving families. There is a reason why we make the trip to your area every two weeks. You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Colorado & Canada. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received. www.springbrachrescue.org ##1711245##
