FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet this fluffy boy, Kiko! He is a 7-year-old, 50 LB Australian Shepherd mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Kiko is a sweet, energetic boy who loves to be outside exploring. He is active and would love a forever home that will exercise him daily and provide him an active lifestyle. He would also do best in a standalone home with a fenced yard to explore, preferably outside the city. Kiko has done well with other dogs in our care and would be a great additional dog in a home. He would also do fine as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention. Kiko is a very strong boy, and will require adopters that are able to handle his strength. He is also incredibly smart and eager to learn, which will make training a blast! Kiko is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Lincoln – The Loyal Aussie Looking for His Person Lincoln is a 4.5-year-old, 40 LB Australian Shepherd with a stunning tricolor coat and a heart full of love! True to his breed, Lincoln is smart, loyal, and eager to bond deeply with his people. He’s looking for an experienced home that understands herding breeds and can give him the structure, guidance, and activity he thrives on. Lincoln is an active boy who loves to play with other dogs and would enjoy a home that can match his energy and enthusiasm for life. He’s happiest when he has a job to do, space to run, and plenty of time with his people. A rural or suburban home with a yard would be ideal for him. He will do best in a home without cats and very young children. With firm boundaries, continued training, and an active lifestyle, Lincoln will be an incredibly devoted and rewarding companion. If you’re looking for a loyal partner who will stick by your side through every adventure, Lincoln might just be your perfect match! Lincoln is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet this sweet boy, Jethro! He is a 3-year-old, 55 LB Australian Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding his forever home here in WA! He is currently living in a foster home with two other female dogs. Jethro is a very good boy! He LOVES to play fetch and being with his people. His ideal forever home is with a family who is home often to engage with him and not gone long hours. He loves connecting with people and will play fetch all day long! Jethro is also very smart, learns quickly, and is motivated by treats and toys. He knows basic commands and takes treats gently. He walks well on leash and stays close to his people. He can show some reactivity towards other male dogs on leash and will pull and will need an attentive adopter. Jethro does well with most dogs and can live with them but honestly is more interested in the companionship of humans rather than dogs and would likely prefer to be an only dog where he can get all of the love and attention. Although he would also be fine with another dog in the home who is not looking for a dog companion. He can be sensitive when about where he is touched and doesn’t like to be surprised (such as when he is sleeping) so we are recommending a home without young children. He has shown some prey drive toward neighborhood cats on walks and may not be the best fit with cats in the home. He is trainable and nonchalant, so he may be able to live with them but will need slow introductions. We are looking for a standalone home (no apartments or condos) with a fully fenced yard for him, preferably not in a busy city area. This boy has a lot of love to give and will make for a very loyal companion and amazing adventure buddy! Jethro is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: When beauty is combined with smarts, you get Neptune! He is a beautiful, 2.5-year-old, 50 lb, Australian Shepherd mix who came to us from CA to find his forever home. The sweet boy is stunning and has all the brains and fun you Aussie fans love about the breed. He’s high energy, enthusiastic, and gorgeous! Definitely a winning combination! Neptune can be a very happy social boy, but he needs a strong leader that can set some healthy boundaries with him. A home with a single person may be best. He seems to attach himself to the mother figure in the home and then guard that person. A strong handler will be able to navigate and redirect that behavior and Neptune is very affectionate and eager to please. He really just wants a job. Neptune can be very social with other dogs but does sometimes take a minute to acclimate to a new dog. He spends his day playing in our play yard with other dogs at the rescue. He enjoys other fun, loving friends that he knows. If you’ve been looking for the perfect adventure, buddy and have leadership skills, Neptune needs he just might be the perfect fit for you. Neptune is house trained, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Say hello to this sweet girl, Darby! Darby is a 1.5-year-old, 38 LB Aussie mix who is the sweetest little gal, looking for her forever home. She thrives being around her foster sisters and brother, playing ball in the yard, wrestling, and chewing on toys. Darby is a shy girl at first and will take a patient adopter to help her warm up. She is curious and loves to explore new places and smells in the house and out in the yard. While she isn’t super treat motivated, she goes wild at mealtime with a hilarious dance. She is a great eater, gobbles up all her kibble, and does well eating around the other pups. She enjoys bones and jerky chews too! She has zero aggression and all the love to give other dogs and her forever humans. Darby is good on leash and has quickly learned basic commands like sit and paw! She responds to “let’s go!” to come back in from outside playtime in the yard and is house broken. She loves other dogs and they give her confidence. She will need a home with at least one other friendly and playful dog. She will be the absolute sweetest companion. Darby loves laying on the couch and getting comfy, and sleeps in bed with us each night. She will go in her crate if needed but is perfect to stay out when her humans aren’t home. She is seen snoozing on camera the whole time! Darby will be a great fit for an adult only home who is willing to spend as much time with her as possible. If you sit on the couch, she will be there touching you. If you go to bed, she will want to cozy up with you too. She can be shy and skittish on walks and we are looking for a standalone home with a fully fenced yard for her in a quiet neighborhood. No apartment or city life for her. Someone would be lucky to have her as an addition to their furry family. Adopt this little angel Darby girl! Darby is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Jigsaw! Jigsaw is a one-year-old, 40 lb Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded CA shelter. He’s a total goofball — silly, playful, and full of happy energy! Jigsaw has a unique brown merle coat, a soft fluffy texture, a gray-speckled muzzle, and warm brown eyes. He’s as beautiful as he is fun! He’s great with other dogs and very tolerant in play. He can be a little vocal when he sees dogs (he gets excited!), but once he meets them, all he wants to do is play. He’s an active, intelligent herding breed mix who will thrive in an active home. We’re looking for adopters with herding breed experience who understand his need for exercise, structure, continued socialization, and training. Jigsaw bonds well with his people and enjoys cuddling, but he’s definitely a “go, go, go” type of dog. He’d love a home with another playful dog who can be a great role model. As an only dog, he’ll need adopters committed to keeping up his social skills. Because he can be vocal, Jigsaw would do best in a standalone home with a yard. He’s a wonderful, lively young dog who’s ready for adventure and a family of his own! Jigsaw UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
