Irving is a very handsome boy, likely a Hound/Beagle mix (?), he’s approx. 2 years old, he weighs about 45 pounds, and he’s a happy and wonderful dog. Irving enjoys meeting new people, taking walks (he walks well on a leash), chasing a ball, and hanging out with his gal pal, Ingrid. Irving came to us (along with Ingrid) when their family said they weren’t able to provide for their safety while living in a busy area. They are both well mannered and seem to enjoy meeting other nice dogs. Irving was given his essential vaccines on 12/27 and he is scheduled for his first Vet appt. in Dexter where he will be tested for Heart Worm disease and implanted with a Microchip for his safety. Pua is a Beagle mix, he’s about 8 months old, and he weighs just 31 pounds. He is extremely friendly, he loves meeting new people, he plays nicely with kids, and he has done well meeting some of our other residents. Pua has been vaccinated and he tested negative for heart worm disease on 12/28/23. He is being given a monthly heart worm preventative as well as flea/tick prevention. She has it all. She is calm, gentle, loving, quiet, and friendly. She is great with dogs ,cats, and kids alike. She even ignores our resident squirrel who frequents our backyard. She is crate trained and potty trained. She was very reserved and a little scared when she first came into our home.It has been amazing to watch her learn to trust and love again. She is happy and ready to become a part of your family. Tears will be shed when we have to say goodbye to her. Fostering can be bittersweet. We love her and we are hoping to find her the PERFECT home. She is happy to go for a walk with you or snuggle on the couch. She loves to sit next to her family and give hugs. Chelsea would fit any home situation. Another friendly dog brother or sister would be ideal for her and really help her feel at home. She's very submissive and has shown no aggression towards anything at all. She's a young dog too, so If you give her a chance, she will reward you with years of devoted companionship. Rocky came to the rescue with Butterball after their owner passed away. Rocky and Butterball do get along well and might like to be adopted together but would also be good adopted separately. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Della is a tall and slim senior hound mix, she actually still feels and acts like a young dog. She is very good with other dogs and enjoys zooming the yard in her foster home with a 6 month old hound puppy. She will do best in a home with a fenced yard and someone that enjoys long walks or other outdoors activities. Della is 25 lbs but her body build makes her look bigger than her weight. Della enjoys her crate (42in) where she sleeps through the night on her soft bed. The crate is her refuge during the day too, the door is always open for her to walk in for a nap. The foster home can be a noisy place at times since she shares with 6 other dogs of all ages and sizes. Della is friendly with a loving demeanor but to get attention she sometimes jumps up on humans and may knock young kids over, we have been working on teaching her not to jump but not there yet. As many hounds Della is very food motivated which makes training easier, old dogs can definitely learn new tricks if the right treats are available.
