She is small and only weighs 22 pounds. She was an owner surrender because she played too rough with their cat. She has lived with kids and loved sleeping in bed with their 7-year-old son. She enjoyed playing with their 65-pound husky. They did not have a fenced yard and was not able to house train her so she will require a fenced yard as she will not potty on a tie out or a leash. In her foster home she enjoys playing with the resident beagle and doing zoomies in the yard. She loves her daily walk and can walk 2-3 miles with no problem. We've worked hard on her housetraining and she is doing great as long as you go out with her and take her out every 3-4 hours. She also knows how to use a doggie door. She loves to sleep with foster mommy at night and curls up close. She's very loving, outgoing and sweet. As are most beagles, she is very food motivated and will sit for a treat. She does not like to be crated except when she rides in one in the car. Her perfect family would be active, have another dog for her to play with, take her daily walks and give her lots and lots of snuggles. He was found loose in Indiana and spent several months in a shelter. He is fearful and shy when meeting new people. He will bond very strongly to a female and would thrive with someone who wants a loyal little shadow. Waylon is crate trained and also potty trained using a dog door. He gets along well with our 3 beagles and is a true couch potato at heart. He enjoys quietly playing with his toys and chewing on his Nyla bones before curling up beside "his person." She was obviously very much loved in her previous home, but sadly, her mom passed away. Now, at 8 years old, Cori is looking for a forever home where she can be spoiled again. An adult-only home where she can have ample time to settle in would be best for Cori. She would prefer a quiet lifestyle (no cities or busy neighborhoods for Cori) and would like to be the only dog in the household. That being said, Cori enjoys her visits to doggy daycare where she can socialize with other dogs. Cori also does well with cats. Cori will thrive in a home where she has a regular routine and will be walked daily so her beagle nose can be used to its fullest potential. She’s house trained, but she doesn’t potty on leash, so a fenced yard is a must. Car rides with Cori are a breeze – she’s the perfect passenger when it’s time to hit the road! Because Cori was displaying some behavior that we wanted to better understand, we sent her to a certified professional dog trainer. Cori was already on medication for general anxiety, and she underwent thorough behavioral and medical evaluations to determine if there was something else that was affecting her behavior. We discovered that Cori’s underbite was causing a lot of jaw pain, and her discomfort was affecting how she interacted with the world. Since starting daily anti-inflammatory medication, Cori has bloomed beautifully. According to her trainer, she now has a good appetite and is a “total foodie.” Her confidence has increased, she’s more playful and more at ease meeting new people, and she has learned to ignore distractions while she’s on leash. I’m searching for a family to spoil and pamper me at all times of the day and night. In return I promise to give lots of beagle kisses, cuddles, playfulness and entertaining beagle antics. I love to be picked up, carried around, snuggled and given lots of back scratches and belly rubs. My foster mom says I’m the most affectionate beagle she’s ever had. I do love my humans! If you want to become my permanent human, you will have to say goodbye to your personal space. I follow foster mom all around the house and whine if I can’t be in the same room with her. I could use a little help with my separation anxiety, but I am a real sweetheart. I can’t stress enough how much I love to snuggle and give kisses. I am great with other dogs. I’m even happy to share my human’s lap with other dogs. I just squeeze myself right in there and get some snuggles from both my human and my beagle sibling. I would really enjoy having another energetic young dog to play chase and bitey-face with me. I LOVE to run and play. My favorite toys are stuffies – durable ones or else I shred them. Stealing socks and slippers is one of my many talents. Foster Mom says now that I know I’m safe, I’m reliving my puppy days. I do not like crates. During the day, I do NOT like to be away from my humans as it makes me anxious. I would not do well with long periods of alone time. At night I sleep in the big bed with the humans. I am a great car rider. I am still working on potty training. This is another area where I would be helped by having another dog in the house to show me the ropes. He is approximately 2 1/2 years old, 27 lbs., and appears to be a smaller sized beagle. He is very athletic and loves to run and play. He has a big personality and is very smart. Sonny would do best in a beagle experienced home as he is your typical beagle (adorable with a side of mischievous!). He sits nicely for treats, potties on leash, and sleeps quietly in a crate at night. Story
Bene is a loving, hilarious, food, motivated, people loving and sometimes stubborn dog. He is extremely food motivated and needs to be watched when he is around food in the kitchen. Benny knows several commands such as sit, down, off, wait, and watch me. He has learned a few tricks: rollover, tap me which means high five with his paw, sit pretty, and play the piano. He goes to our piano and uses his chin to press down a note. He also can walk on his hind legs. Benny walks well, using a gentle leader or a choke collar. He certainly enjoys his walks. He is a hound therefore when he barks it is loud. He has always been friendly with other dogs and was taken to daycare where he got along well. In the beginning, he was crate- trained, but now roams the house freely.

I have had her for a year now. She is just 14 months old. She has grown up with my 4 years and 3 years old boys. SHe is very good with kids and other dogs. I am trying to keep her but my work schedule is changed and he needs to be at the crate for 11 hours. I am a single mom raising kids my own since my husband had abandoned all of us. I am financially so short to support even kids now. I love her a lot as a family but all complicated situations let me surrender her. SHe is good with strangers and neighbors. Thank you. Also, she is AKC and CKC registered but my husband has a document. He doesn’t contact us at all so you might need to register your own.
