Story
We rescued Phoenix 7 years ago and we consider ourselves very lucky to have her. She is smart, house trained, and excellent with kids, cats and most other dogs. Unfortunately, the place we are moving does not allow pets. She is the sweetest and friendliest pet we have ever had, so we want to find a home that will give her the love she is sure to give them.

Story
Shepherd Mix Age: < 1 yr old Male, Neutered > 30 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Roth came to the shelter as a stray with a serious issue with his pee-pee (paraphimosis). The shelter’s vet did emergency surgery, then called us to rescue him. Unfortunately, the first surgery was unsuccessful (scar tissue closure causing the inability to urinate) so our vet had to go in do another surgery. So far, it is all good, however, he may need another procedure as he gets bigger (if he gets bigger). Given his mix with Chihuahua, he main remain a medium-size dog. Otherwise, Roth is a sweet, happy-go-lucky puppy that is people and dog friendly. He walks on a leash. He will need some training on jumping on people, and a few other puppy manners. Roth needs a home with another playful dog(s), probably close to his size or larger. Potential adopters must own their home with a good size fenced-in backyard. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. For more information about Roth, contact: nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com

Good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
German Shepherd Age: < 1 yr old Female, Spayed 40 lbs Adoption Fee: Donation (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Cheyanne was brought to the shelter as a very young, small, emaciated puppy with two broken legs (assumably from being hit by a car). Since as a German Shepherd, she had a lot of growing to do, the only viable option was to splint the legs and hope for the best. Fast forward 5 months and her front leg healed pretty well (which is good - front legs are more critical than hind legs for mobility. Unfortunately, we weren’t as lucky with her back leg. The severity of the fractures, impeded the needed bone growth, and the leg ended up shortened. There are ongoing discussions with the vet about whether to amputate that leg. Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs will cover the cost of the amputation, if that happens. Otherwise Cheyanne is a sweet dog that needs a lot of socialization with people. Shepherds are naturally wary of strangers, so continuing her peoples skills is important. She loves all the dogs in her foster home. We don’t put shepherds in homes with cats. A home with another well socialized dog around her size would be ideal. Please note for large breed dogs, we require that potential adopters own their home, with a securely fenced-in backyard. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. For more information about Cheyanne, contact: nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com

Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereHello from Milo! Milo is a gentle and loving soul. This sweet boy may have had a rough start in life, but he has made tremendous strides in improving his social abilities in his foster home. He was once fearful and nervous around new situations and people. Now, he eagerly welcomes guests to his home, wagging his tail in excitement for some tasty treats. He's even conquered his fear of passing strangers on the leash! (He still may have some stranger danger but it's getting better every day.) Fosters have reported that Milo is a playful and healthy pup who loves nothing more than being outside, playing, and exploring with his furry foster doggie siblings. He's full of affection and adores being petted, and his favorite place to cuddle up is right next to his beloved humans on the bed. His foster family calls him "Sunny Boy"! Milo is a good sleeper, sleeping soundly through the night, too. Milo will thrive in a calm and quiet household and environment, with routine and consistency so that he can continue to feel safe. He has learned to be a more confident dog! While Milo's past makes it hard to predict how he'll react around children or cats, one thing is for sure: this dog is full of love and loyalty, waiting for the perfect family to give him the love and care he deserves. With his good nature and willingness to learn, Milo is ready to be a faithful companion for life. Could you be the one to give him the loving home he's been waiting for? Milo is about 3 years old and weighs 59 lbs. He would prefer a quiet and adult-only home at this time. He adores people and forms deep bonds with his humans. And yes, he has mastered the art of "puppy eyes"! Max is incredibly soft and adores affection and belly rubs. Don't let his senior status fool you; full of life, this pup is far from retirement and maintains excellent mobility, hearing, and eyesight. He relishes going on walks, car rides, and is always eager for new adventures, such as exploring the coastal trail at Half Moon Bay or hiking on local nature trails. His current routine includes two daily walks around the neighborhood and mental exercises to keep him healthy and content. He reveals his playful side when pouncing on plush squeaking toys or zooming around the yard. Max has mastered many new skills, proving that older dogs are both capable and intelligent. He is crate trained, and understands numerous commands and associated hand signals. Max is highly food motivated and fearlessly attempts anything for treats, from navigating a long tunnel to jumping over small objects. His food motivation aids in his training and eagerness to learn new tricks. Max resides in a suburban foster home with a yard enclosed by a 6-foot fence, where he enjoys a balance of indoor and outdoor time. While Max prefers to be the sole focus of attention, he has enjoyed a few playdates with select tolerant dogs.  If you're searching for a truly remarkable companion with a sweet and affectionate demeanor, look no further than Max. Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAmana is in a foster home and her fosters say: Amana is a sweet and sensitive soul who loves to be with her humans, whether it's snuggling at home or out on an adventure. She is a medium energy dog who is happy to go on walks of any length and lounge around at home. She is fully house trained, has been fine being home alone for 6 hours, and is comfortable in cars. Amana is very smart and has learned new tricks in a day (most recently, 'back up')! She's also pretty quiet and rarely barks (she tends to bark for the first few minutes after being left at home, then settles down). Gorgeous Amana has made leaps and bounds with her loose leash walking, but can get carried away following her nose so she will need continued rewards-based training. And while she is social with other respectful dogs, her ideal home will help her with her excitement around her dog buddies. See her flourish in foster @adopt_oas_amana on Instagram!
