This athletic herding mix is built for adventure and recently discovered a love for canicross—he’s a total natural! Curtis happily joined a group run and kept up like a pro, soaking in every second. If you’re looking for a running buddy or an active partner, he’s ready to go. He also loves playing ball and tug in the yard and is always up for a good game. He walks nicely on leash and is learning when it’s time to stay close versus when he can lean into a run with his harness. Curtis is both housebroken and crate trained—he trots right into his crate for bedtime or when you leave and settles in without a peep. When the day winds down, Curtis is all about the cuddles. He’ll tuck his head into your neck and melt into you like the sweetest weighted blanket. He thrives on routine, eagerly heading to his spot at mealtime and eating like a champ. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. (my mom and brother found a safe place too) So here i am at the rescue, just waiting to be discovered by my real forever family and I have some things to tell you about me.... Thought to be around 7 years old, she is fully house trained, non-destructive, and respectful of her surroundings—no counter surfing, no table begging, and no mischief when left alone. She crates well (with just a short moment to settle) and is incredibly easy to live with, making her the kind of dog who quickly feels like she’s always belonged.This smart girl is eager to please and very attentive to her people. She enjoys being near her humans, soaking up affection and attention, and loves being handled and petted. While she’s not a fan of being picked up (she’s a sturdy 60 lbs, after all!), she shows her affection by staying close and being a calm, loving presence. She already knows “sit” and, with her intelligence and willingness to learn, she has so much potential to pick up more cues and confidence-building skills.Outdoors, Ostentatia enjoys exploring and taking in her surroundings at her own pace. She isn’t particularly toy-motivated or fetch-focused, preferring relaxed romps and sniffing adventures. On leash, she gets excited when she sees other dogs or people and can be vocal.At home, Ostentatia shines brightest. She naps comfortably during the day, sleeps well in her crate at night (though she’d happily trade that for a spot in bed someday), and settles beautifully into a routine. She does best with older kids and teens (13+), and while her experience with cats is unknown, her overall demeanor is calm and affectionate.
