Story
Meet Star! This spunky, sweet Border Collie mix is the perfect combination of energy and affection. Star plays great with other dogs, whether it's at the local dog park or here at the shelter in play group time! She has even lived with other dogs before and done well. She can be a little shy getting to know new people and being around other dogs gives her confidence! She also enjoys spending time outside, whether its at the dog park, in a back yard where she can squirrel watch and sunbathe, or on a walk where she can sniff and explore!Star is very smart and knows commands for "sit" and "down" (and is getting better at doing "sit," even when excited). She likes puzzles and bully sticks and stuffed squeaky toys. She enjoys getting treats and toys and would likely learn a lot more tricks with training! If you want to come meet this tail-wagging, snuggly, sweet gal, come and visit her today from 11am-7pm at 3201 Earhart Drive, Carrollton, Texas 75006!Star is eligible for a 7-day trial adoption through our Foster First program. This program gives you and our pets time to ensure it's a great match before finalizing the adoption. If interested in fostering through our Foster First Program, come to our Earhart shelter location for a meet and greet and to sign up to be a foster. https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/

SWEET SWEET SWEET! Found as a stray dumped in the country. Amazingly, Finn has a great temperament and has been evaluated by an accredited behaviorist. He passed all his tests with flying colors. We are happy to share her evaluation with any prospective family. Finn is about 3 years old, neutered, current on vaccinations, hw negative and microchipped. He is learning about toys in his foster home and how to live inside. Finn LOVES people! He kissed the vet, the tech, and everyone in the waiting room at the vet clinic. Finn is very smart and catches on quickly to what you are teaching him. He will make a fabulous addition to the right family. For more information on adopting Finn, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com or call 903-967-3226.

Story
Meet adorable little Kirby. She is 2.5 months old and weighs 6 lbs. She was found as a stray at a local park, so we have no idea about her heritage, but we are guessing that she could be a Border Collie/Beagle mix, emphasis on guessing. Foster mom says that Kirby is super sweet and cuddly. She loves people and other dogs. At night, she loves to sleep snuggled up to the resident big dog. Since Kirby is so young, she will do better in a home with another friendly dog who will help her feel more secure. If she will be an only puppy, she needs an adopter who is home most of the time. Housetraining is a work in progress, but she is food and treat motivated, so she should learn quickly if a little treat is offered as a reward. If you are interested in meeting Kirby, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Sadie is a spayed female Border Collie Mix who is estimated to be about 1 year old and weighs 60.0 lbs. Sadie is a friendly dog who loves people. She is a little excitable when she first meets someone, but calms down quickly. Sadie pulls on the leash but can be controlled. She knows how to sit and is gentle when taking treats. Sadie loves playing fetch. Sadie is a medium energy dog who is happy to relax indoors or go for a long walk. She has been dog tested and does well with most other dogs, but would need a slow introduction if there are cats in the home.To see more pictures, click this link:https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1ATF-YgSCSfu_C1gU-ggmW4L2udRUGbuO
