Story
Dear Future Valentine, Hi. My name is Lulu, and I wanted to let you know… I’m kind of the whole package. 💃 I’m a Border Collie mix with a brave heart. I'm super smart and loyal. I love adventure...long walks, running around the yard, chasing squirrels (they’re suspicious), and going for car rides. I’m playful and agile, but I also know how to relax and enjoy quiet time at home. 🏠 I already have my manners down. I’m crate-trained, housebroken, walk nicely on leash, and know my basic commands. I’m respectful with other dogs at mealtime, friendly with dogs, gentle with cats, and great with kids. Basically, I’m pretty easy to love. 😍 I enjoy affection, but I’m not clingy...I love just being near you, checking in, sharing space, and knowing we’re a team. I’ll protect our yard, keep an eye on things, and still curl up contentedly after a good day of play and exploration. 😴 My perfect Valentine has a sense of adventure too - maybe other dogs to play with, a yard to run in, or someone who loves walks and outings as much as I do. Give me activity, companionship, and love, and I’ll give you loyalty, laughter, and my whole heart. 💞 My foster family says I’m “perfect.” I think they might be right — and I think I might be perfect for you. Love, Lulu 🐾 ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/ ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

He still likes to take his time getting to know people and would be best suited to a home without children. I am vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, had flea treatment applied, and sterilized. Sadly, I have tested positive for heartworms, but please don’t let that scare you away! Heartworm disease is very treatable, and Lewisville Animal Services will provide my heartworm treatment. Please call the shelter at 972.219.3478 for more information about the heartworm treatment protocol. If you are interested in adopting me, come visit me at the shelter during visiting hours. I cannot wait to meet you!

Story
Millie is a sweet girl living the farm life now, but that almost wasn't her story. At just 8 months old, she was set to be euthanized by her owners, not for any real reason, they simply didn't want to care for her anymore. Her veterinarian couldn't stand by and let that happen. She stepped in and offered to board Millie until a foster or rescue could be found. That's how Millie ended up here. Today Millie is thriving in a farm foster home. She's good with cats, dogs, and children, she recalls beautifully once she knows and trusts you, and she is an absolute snuggle bug. Here's the honest part: Millie will likely be terrified of you at your first meet and greet. Tail tucked, glued to the opposite side of the room, unsure if you're safe. That's just how she greets new people right now, and she's come a long way already. With every new introduction, she's getting braver and more confident. Millie is looking for HER person. Someone with the patience to sit with her fear, let her come around in her own time, and earn the trust she's learning to give again. Could that be you?Millie is spayed, vaccinated, and on heartworm preventatives. She's ready to call your place home!  ##2615806##

Story
My name is Sydney and I am a 30 lb, 3 year old Mini Aussie mix, spayed, healthy, athletic, and FUN! I love people, food (all food, especially spinach!), and tennis balls. I also enjoy car rides, going to fun places (especially if you help me not feel overwhelmed by too many stranger dogs), playing fetch (best thing on the planet!), and crushed ice! My Faux Mom and I have been working really hard to get me ready for you! I have nice house manners, and am learning to have nice manners with other dogs. I live with a dog who tolerates my Mini Aussie herding style and the way I alert them to noises and squirrels! My dog friends need to give me a little space, and be OK with sharing all their toys. I eat in my crate so my dog friend doesn’t have to worry that I’ll eat all her food and we can both eat in peace. I sleep through the night in my crate, and am crated when no people are home, and I don’t mind that at all. I’m hoping for a home with a nice yard for ball play (do this enough, and I won’t need a lot of other exercise!) with no small animals (chasing is SO FUN!) and no small children (same reason). I am located in the DFW area of Texas and can’t wait to have a home of my own. Please apply to adopt me at bcrrt.com.

Story
Izzy is a special girl looking for her forever home. She’s full of heart, endless cuddles, fierce loyalty, and pure joy when a tennis ball or her beloved donut toy appears. Izzy may take a little time to warm up, but once you’re hers, you’re hers — her person, her safe place, her whole world. She would thrive in a quiet home with no young children and no other dogs. She’d love an older couple or empty-nest home where she can soak up attention, enjoy calm walks, play a good game of fetch, and then curl up inside with her people. She has a great off-switch and knows when it’s time to relax. She’s 6 years old, 41 lbs, spayed, up to date on vaccines, crate trained (but does well out), walks nicely on leash (strong girl!), rides great in the car, and is located in DFW. Izzy doesn’t need perfect — she just needs hers. If you think that might be you, apply today at BCRRT.COM

Story
Born on July 8th, 2025, Cookie is a sweet gentle young girl. She loves having her chest rubbed and is always up for a nap to cuddle with you. She is food motivated and loves her snacks like baby carrots, bananas, blueberries, green apples, eggs, or anything safe for dogs. She is not experienced on a leash yet. But is trainable. She deserves lots of love and affection. Knows the word "sit" for feedings and "outside". She will alert you if someone is near the home or in the yard but not in aggressive manner. I hope to find the perfect fur parent/parents. Please contact me to schedule a meet and greet.

Story
Millie is a sweet, smart, and bubbly girl who's ready to bring joy to her forever home. She loves walks, hikes, and proudly carrying her favorite orange rubber "wishbone" toy. Millie knows several commands -- sit, down, place, and heel -- and she'll happily show off her skills for her people. This vocal girl isn't shy about telling you when she needs to go out or when she's ready for attention. At home, she's easygoing: after 10-15 minutes of play, Millie is content to lounge and relax. She's house trained, kennel trained, and e-collar trained, making her a well-mannered companion. Millie thrives as the only pet and would do best in a home without young children. She enjoys snuggling when she's in the mood and will reward her people with love, laughter, and loyalty. If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Millie participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.August 13, 2026, 12:13 am

Story
Blue is an Aussie mix, he is very social and loves to play, Blue needs an active owner and a yard, with a fence, not suited for apartment Blue is very energetic, he likes other dogs but plays rough. He would need to be paired with a patient dog who can put up with his immature behavior, he doesn't always read cues to stop playing. His potty training has progressed significantly but he does still have accidents in the kennel occasionally. His personality is super loving and sweet, but he is mischievous and likes to be the life of the party and is still very much a puppy. Blue push boundaries and see how much he can get away with so he will need a strong leader. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meetAugust 13, 2026, 12:13 am
