Story
Kiwi is a super playful and smart girl. She even plays gently with smaller creatures like cats and rabbits. She is potty trained and has caught on quickly to simple commands like Sit and Stay. Kiwi is shy at first but quickly warms up. She was born 6/29/2019We got Kiwi & Peaches from the shelter as itty bitty pups, and soon found out that both of them had CHV (Canine Herpesvirus). Most puppies die at 2 weeks from this, however these two were fighters and besides runny noses here and there, are doing really well. They can have it the rest of their lifes and will be sick from time to time and because there is just not a lot documented on situations like this we have no idea what their future health could be. They should never be around puppies or attend public places or events.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. Story
Sweet Opal was found in February 2021 with her babies. She was completely feral and seemed like she had never had human contact. She went to a foster home where she got to spend time with her babies until they were ready to be adopted. As soon as she was ready, she was brought to our facility where she would be in contact with more people and start socializing and trusting people. It has taken several months but the staff and volunteers can walk her on a leash a little bit more each day. Her friend Huey gives her more confidence. She would do good in a home where she can come and have her space and take her time to warm up. She will shy away and but does not get aggressive at all. That`s the reason we want her to make a smooth transition when finding her forever home. Opal would do great with a doggie sibling that could teach her to accept love and learn to be a happy trusting dog. We love her at the rescue and hope she finds that family to love and trust. Opal is believed to be between 2 and 3 years old. She is spayed and up to date on shots.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry

Story
My name is Fiona and I am a sweet bundle of energy! I am a very loyal companion who wants all your attention and absolutely love children! Although I sometimes have to be reminded not to jump I’m getting better at that. I am not a fan of cats when they run. It makes me want to chase them. I am more fond of women sometimes men can scare me at first, but once I get to know them and with a few treats I’ll be your best friend. I enjoy being around dogs. Except I don’t care for dogs with high energy like me. It makes me nervous. I really love to go on runs and I love my toys. I love chew toys. It feels good on my puppy teeth and I love stuffy toys. I do better in my crate after I’ve had plenty of exercise and if you have dogs at home meeting them first would make me feel better. I absolutely love water. My foster mom bought me my own kitty pool and it’s my favorite thing to do besides following around my foster mama. I’ve been living with two children, age two and seven and I love my foster kids. When I finally am awake I am a big cuddle bug. I like to give hugs and kisses if you let me, I am a big baby with a huge heart of gold! I’ve also got to spend time with some of my foster mom‘s dogs, and I do well with dogs who won’t make me feel intimidated I’ve not been around farm animals and since I want to chase foster mom’s kitties, she doesn’t think cats or farm animals are the best for me. A family with kids and maybe the right dog would be my perfect fit as I don’t like to be left alone for too long, but I do sleep at night now in my crate. It’s really big crate with plenty of space to not feel so isolated and my mom plays music for me and I love it. It helps soothe me when I am too excited. I’m not really bothered by thunderstorms or fireworks although I wouldn’t want to be taken to a firework show. I actually stay calm if I can hear them while inside. I love to talk/bark when I get excited my tail wags like crazy and I will do spins in circles to show you how cute and smart I am. I catch on pretty quickly to routines and overall just want to be around my people. I know my perfect home is out there and would love to meet you to see if you are the one. Puppy kisses Fiona ♥️ 🐾 If interested in adopting Fiona, please fill out our adoption application: info@salvagedsoulspetrescue.org.

Meet Pugsley! This sweet Heeler mix is affectionate, gentle, great with other dogs, and absolutely adores kids. He’s treat motivated, loves to cuddle, and will happily curl up beside you any chance he gets.
