Merlin is a very handsome Border Collie mix. He is three years old and weighs about 42 lbs - not too big, not too small, just right! Merlin came to Humane Tomorrow as a very shy and fearful dog, and while new things still scare him a little, at home he is a totally normal dog now. He loves to run around in the backyard, playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He really must have another playful dog to help him settle in to his new home and feel comfortable. Merlin also needs lots of sturdy chew toys and he LOVES to play fetch (but he'll chew up a tennis ball in nothing flat, so Kong-type toys are best). Merlin is a smart dog, and he will sit perfectly when waiting for the nightly treats. He is ok going for short walks and car rides (but remember - new things do scare him). He will be perfectly content to play and exercise in his own backyard where it's safe and familiar. He's probably always going to startle at loud noises and be cautious around new people, but he's getting a little braver every day. Merlin will be fine with anyone once he gets to know them, but he can play a little rough so kids over 10 are probably best for him. Merlin is an affectionate, playful, devoted dog who just needs someone who accepts him for who he is.

Bowie is incredibly sweet and loving, always happy to see you with a wiggle of his tail (butt wiggle included). He is almost 5, and was born sometime in October of 2020 (at least best guess from Mom's records). He is great with other animals, has had two dog siblings, and a cat sibling. Wonderful with kids, absolutely adored my niece. He loves walks and car rides, but knows the words so be careful when you say them! He'll get those little feet tippy-tapping and then you're basically committed because who can say no. He is not super food motivated, but does enjoy treats and can sit and stay (but that's the extent of his command training). Honestly, the best thing I can say about Bowie is that he is Just Happy to Be Included. Whether it's with other dogs, or with his people. Very social and chill, no storm or separation anxiety. Will absolutely do a flop and let you rub his belly until your hand cramps and falls off. Seriously, it's his favorite.

SWEET SWEET SWEET! Found as a stray dumped in the country. Amazingly, Finn has a great temperament and has been evaluated by an accredited behaviorist. He passed all his tests with flying colors. We are happy to share her evaluation with any prospective family. Finn is about 3 years old, neutered, current on vaccinations, hw negative and microchipped. He is learning about toys in his foster home and how to live inside. Finn LOVES people! He kissed the vet, the tech, and everyone in the waiting room at the vet clinic. Finn is very smart and catches on quickly to what you are teaching him. He will make a fabulous addition to the right family. She’s a shy and reserved girl in the beginning however very sweet once she starts to get to know you and you will be stuck in her inner circle forever. She will need a home with a smaller no children or other pets. She has been professionally trained with understanding of general obedience and is muzzle conditioned for owners to have future child. Hemera gets very nervous of children and new people in home as well as meeting new people outside of home and may get scared or anxious. Hemera needs an experience handler due to her high needs of mental and physical stimulation, fear of new people. I have trained Hemera for a few yrs and I am willing to work with any potential adopters to find the right home. She is an incredibly sweet girl and enjoys to play, work and train. She would thrive the best with someone who has an active lifestyle or enjoys to train with there dog.

Tex is an 8 year old, 55 lb Australian Shepherd mix. He has the most beautiful red merle coat! He is friendly and loves everyone he meets, and he loves to be hugged and petted. Tex gets along with other dogs and is cat friendly. He likes to go on walks, hang out in the yard on nice weather days, and throw his toys around. He had some skin allergy issues when he first came to Humane Tomorrow. He is much better now, but he will need to remain on a sensitive skin food (no prescription required and not expensive). Even though he's young at heart and full of energy, since he's 8 years old Tex is eligible for our Senior Dog half price adoption fee of $125.
