Story
Meet Ember! Ember is a 2 year old Border Collie mix, weighing ~45 pounds, and this happy, affectionate girl has come such a long way in a very short time! When Ember was rescued, the shelter environment was incredibly overwhelming for her, but once she landed in a foster home, it didn’t take long for her true personality to start shining through! Ember is friendly, playful, affectionate, smart, and full of energy. She absolutely loves her people and is known for giving the sweetest hugs and kisses. When she’s ready to wind down, she’s even happy to hang out and watch TV with you. Despite coming into rescue without much prior training, Ember has proven just how smart she is. In only a few weeks, she is now potty trained, crate trained, and learned several basic commands! She’s a quick learner who really thrives when given consistency and direction. Ember does well with larger dogs and would love a home that can keep up with her active, playful personality. As a young, energetic Border Collie mix, she’ll need a family committed to continuing her training and giving her plenty of opportunities to exercise both her body and mind. 🧠 She went from being completely overwhelmed in the shelter to a happy girl who gives hugs, learns new things, plays hard, and soaks up affection. Now she just needs the family who will give her the life she deserves. Learn more and apply to adopt Ember on our website! Acesplacerescue.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Meet Luna (aka Lu!) Luna is an approximately 3-year-old, roughly 47-pound bundle of personality, happiness, and love who's ready to find her forever family! If you're looking for a smart, active dog who can keep up with your adventures but also happily curl up beside you at the end of the day, Luna might be your perfect match. Why You'll Love Luna: Luna is the total package. She is playful, active, incredibly intelligent, and guaranteed to make you laugh with her goofy personality. She loves being around her people and never misses an opportunity to sneak in a kiss or ask for extra pets. While Luna loves to stay busy and be active, she also has a more chill, cuddly side. Her foster mom occasionally works from home and says Luna is the perfect office buddy, happily relaxing nearby while she works. She's fully house trained and crate trained, and she sees her crate is her safe place. Just tell her "bed," and she'll happily run right in! Her foster family states she may whine for a minute or two when you leave, but she settles quickly and is happy to relax until you're home. Luna is also dog friendly and absolutely loves playing with the other dog in her foster home (she has only lived with medium/large dogs that we know of). Because she enjoys canine companionship so much, she'd love a playful dog sibling in her forever home. Luna already knows her basic commands and is eager to learn more. She catches on quickly and truly enjoys training. Puzzle toys, games, new tricks, and anything that challenges her mind are right up her alley. Her Perfect Home: Luna is an athletic, high-energy girl who needs a family committed to giving her plenty of exercise and mental enrichment. She'll do best in a home with: -A fenced yard to run and play (no apartments, please) -An active owner who enjoys walks, hikes, etc. -A playful canine companion (preferred, but not required) -Older kids or dog savvy kids preferred, as she does occasionally jump when excited to see you -Someone excited to continue her training and help her reach her full potential Luna is loyal, loving, and full of life. She's looking for a family that will embrace her playful spirit, continue helping her learn, and give her all the love she deserves. If you're ready for an adventurous and loyal best friend who will keep you smiling every day, Luna is waiting to meet you! Apply to adopt at acesplacerescue.org/adoptionprocess

Kiwi is an amazing pup! We are needing to find her a new home due to incompatibility with an elderly member of our home and by no real fault of her own. Kiwi is a fast learner and will adapt to a new home quickly. We love her very much and are committed to finding her a good home. She sleeps well out-of-crate, on a dog bed in our personal room but may want a crate if not kept close by. We have not tried keeping her crated as there has been no need to. She is house-trained and almost fully trained on chewing only toys/bones of her own. Loves running, great exercise partner.Has not yet been spayed. We will send her to her new home with all toys, bones, harness and food that she has available
