Story
🖤 Meet Lulu: A Loyal and Loving Smartypants Wrapped in the Softest Fur Lulu is a beautiful Border Collie mix (we think with McNab) with soulful eyes, a brilliant mind, and the softest, most huggable furry coat. She loves to be part of your world and is eager to please. She’s wonderfully dog-friendly, respectful with kitties, and great with kiddos. Lulu is energetic and curious, She loves exploring the yard, sniffing out adventures, and keeping an eye on things—she’s a fantastic little guard dog who takes her job seriously (but never aggressively). - 🧠 Incredibly smart and eager to learn - 🐾 Gets along with dogs and cats - 🚗 Rides calmly in the car and settles in a crate with gentle encouragement - 🛁 Not a fan of baths, but adores being brushed - 🍽️ Mealtime is the BEST time —she’ll never let you forget dinner 😉 - 👧 Gentle and sweet with children Lulu is potty trained and thrives in a home where she can be included, active, and cherished. She’s looking for a family who’ll appreciate her loyalty, her playfulness, and her snuggly side. Lulu’s the kind of dog who’ll make you wonder how you ever lived without her, and she's just waiting to meet you. ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/ ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Bowie is incredibly sweet and loving, always happy to see you with a wiggle of his tail (butt wiggle included). He is almost 5, and was born sometime in October of 2020. He is great with other animals, has had two dog siblings, and a cat sibling. Wonderful with kids, absolutely adored my niece. He loves walks and car rides, but knows the words so be careful when you say them! He&#39ll get those little feet tippy-tapping and then you&#39re basically committed because who can say no. He is not super food motivated, but does enjoy treats and can sit and stay (but that&#39s the extent of his command training). Honestly, the best thing I can say about Bowie is that he is Just Happy to Be Included. Whether it&#39s with other dogs, or with his people. Very social and chill, no storm or separation anxiety. Will absolutely do a flop and let you rub his belly until your hand cramps and falls off. Seriously, it&#39s his favorite. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Bowie is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRMJune 22, 2025, 12:59 pm

She is wary of new things, but just needs a loving/guiding person to let her know everything is okay and safe. Victoria would do best in a calm home with no children. Victoria is crate and house trained. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Story
Looking for a young female to adopt? Meet JUNO! Juno is a Border Collie lovers DREAM! She is everything you would want in a BC puppy (under 1 year old). She is a lovely girl and full of energy, well trained for the most part. Happy, healthy, spayed, FUN, and BEAUTIFUL, this pup is magnificent! She loves to swim, play with toys, and do tricks for treats! She is fostered in a home with cats and doesn't seem bothered by them. Sometimes she wants to play (which is not allowed, cat's preference) but is not aggressive with them. She has been around very young children a little bit but her puppy energy is too much for small children. Children over age 10 who know how to handle a dog should be ok. She crates well. If you seriously want a stunning BC pup, this is your girl! Apply to adopt at bcrrt.com.

Story
MEET BURKE - THE SWEETEST GENTLEMAN YOU'LL EVER MEET FROM HIS FOSTER MOM: In my 70+ years I have never met a Dog as SWEET and as EAGER to please as Burke. He is about 6 years old, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and about 40 pounds. He LOVES people and other dogs (not tested with cats) and he is wonderful with children. He greatest joy is just to be petted loved and loved and loved. Burke kennels well; sleeps in his kennel in my bedroom--though I leave him out during the day when I am not home. He walks nicely on the leash though if something interests him (especially a good smelling bush or fire hydrant) he will pull to get there but that is getting much better. FROM BURKE: I will love you and follow you everywhere, I will be you best friend and travel buddy! (I love to ride in a truck, car, golf cart as long as I am with you)...I am done with herding -no more heavy work for me - but I do LOVE long walks and hikes. Mostly, I want to be with you: to rest beside you during a good movie or football game, feeling your hand on my head. I am a GORGEOUS Border Collie--Handsome, gentle, and loyal. You'll get all the beauty and devotion of this breed, without the intensity of a youngster. The only thing I want in return is your love. Please apply to adopt at bcrrt.com

Story
Meet Link! Link is a sweet, loving puppy who wants nothing more than to be close to his person. He is about 4 months old, 25 pounds, healthy, fully vaccinated. He is too young to be neutered just yet. He’s curious and inquisitive, but also eager to please and looks to his human for reassurance. Currently fostered in Huntsville, AL, Link lives happily alongside both cats and dogs. He adores his older canine foster brothers and is very interested in making friends with his feline companions. This smart pup is doing wonderfully with potty training—he’ll even go to the back door to let you know when it’s time. He’s also learning to be comfortable in his crate, though he may whine a bit to remind you that he’d prefer to be with you. Link has already picked up on several basic commands like leave it, drop it, and down. Like any young pup, he’ll need continued patience and consistency, but he’s a quick learner. He’s also shown a love for balls and is well on his way to becoming a fetching pro! If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate puppy who will grow into a wonderful companion with the right guidance, Link may just be the perfect match for you. to adopt Link, please go to bcrrt.com to complete an application,
